I think this smart home thing strokes our ego, making us think we are somehow more important than we really are. I have this same setup at my place. And it’s not as fantastic as you might think. I am constantly repeating myself to make things happen. And it’s a lot of setting up to make it work how it should. Hours of watching CZcams to learn how to connect things. You enable a skill with Alexa only to find it only works in America. My obsession with my smart home has driven my family mad.

You don't have to pause after saying alexa - just say the whole sentence at once.
