Month of June usually brings the start of shad season in the PNW. This trip was planned way ahead due to our neighbors desire to smoke and can shad. I told her a year ago, I was going to help her get shad and show her the canning process.

Rod and reel - Okuma Celilo 9'-6" med - light 6 -12lbs, paired with Shimano Sahara 3000
