Thanks for your support :)
I have caught shad as late as 4 of July on Washington side. that late need to fine the right depth because the run is like a tube. Also I have landed the biggest females that time of year. They are deep and will not come up at first. 22 to 24 inches long. Will bring home with about 30 the last 4 years doing so.
Thanks Mark, I caught a 4.1lb one at 6/21 last year. Do feel like they are getting bigger at the late season, if you get a giant one, send me a picture :)
"its ugly, but its you." LMao

Thanks for the guide sensei! Do we put any plastic grub on the metal jig? Or just use the plain jig?
Just the jig, no need for the grub, check the video description for the jig link
@@BashiWAFishing thanks sensei!!!
@@iamalemontree Anytime!
How long should the leader line be? Looks like 18-24 inches?
4ft to 5ft
How do you determine the weight? Is it need to be heavy enough to hit the bottom, like drifting? Just too lazy to drive 4 hours but may try it this year.
Kind of, 1/2oz weight worked for me
@@BashiWAFishing where did you by shad darts? thanks!
@@jianfenggeng3516 Not the season yet, I will put the link in my video description in the middle of May
Do you need Oregon fishing license if you already have one for Washington? I saw from the website it said NO, but just want to confirm
If you are fishing from WA side, then only WA license is needed
@@BashiWAFishing I saw this: www.eregulations.com/oregon/fishing/license-information/. "When angling within three miles of shore from Cape Falcon, OR to Leadbetter Point, WA, or in the waters of the Columbia River where it forms the Oregon-Washington boundary both Washington and Oregon resident fishing licenses are valid. Any anglers other than Washington residents must have a valid Oregon angling or shellfish license when landing fish or taking shellfish by boat in Oregon."
@@qianshen9446 In the water means you have a boat, I believe bank fishing dose not qualify the definition of "in the waters"
is that a medium heavy rod? what weight lure it can handle?
It's a medium light, I usually put a 1/2oz weight on it, plus a 1/8oz shad dart
@@BashiWAFishing but medium light can't cast heavy weight, maybe max is 3/8 oz
@@fdsaffff 1/2oz is fine, it will be hard to feel the bite with a medium heavy
Come on DUDE! "Reel in" not "Roll in". LOL
Haha, me reel in, the fish roll in
