- The Walter PPQ is a new product for 2011. The 9mm Walter PPQ makes a perfect concealed carry pistol. The Walter PPQ is similar ergonomically to the Walter P99. The Walter PPQ is a great alternative to other offering such as those offered by Glock, Springfield or S&W.

MAC, I just acquired the PPQ M2, and am about to start my initial eval. But you'll be happy to note that they have reverted to a conventional push-button mag release, and it is very sweet to operate. But this video is one of the reasons I've been foaming at the mouth to get the PPQ to start with. Thanks!
Bought one of these shortly after watching your video. I love this pistol. So ergonomic and accurate. I prefer this style mag release. I have smaller hands and I find it more comfortable to hit it with my index finger. I've owned a few HK pistols so I'm used to it.
Ditto. I have smaller hands and I have to reposition grip to push a button mag release. The walther release is better for me.
So many guns not enough money.
JayzBeerz amen brother
+JayzBeerz This is all you need. Light enough to carry, accurate enough for range duty, and high enough capacity for home defense.
15 yards off hand and you were literally putting bullets on top of bullets. Yea, id say the PPQ is accurate. You can really get more accurate than that.
I recently bought the PPQ M2. I love this pistol. The M2 version has the standard push button everyone in the U.S. is used to.
This is honestly one of the best handgun reviews period. It fully covers every aspect of this pistol however as someone like myself who is a novice gun person I learned several firearm safety tips and the anatomy of handguns from this. Thanks!
very good review I like how you have broken it down from the in the shop thoughts to the range then the final thoughts excellent job
I've never seen your reviews before. Well done. Thanks for posting. Great review and great shooting. I've been hearing nothing but praise about this pistol.
This is by far the best pistol review I have ever seen on youtube. Well prepared and covered all points and honest about pros and cons. Ohh by the way that is some kick ass accurate shooting. I'm sold with this baby, I'm getting one in 40 cal for sure. Thx again and keep up the excellent work.
You've got one of the best gun channels on CZcams right now. Keep up the good work.
@fetus2genius1 I have a M&P 9mm, I'll post a review of it in a few weeks. Thanks for watching.
nothing beats your reviews sir. good job.
Hey, this was a really good review! Professionally done. Your grouping on the target was incredible too. Kudos.
I was not really interested in the pistol but watched
because of your interesting, concise reviews. Glad
I did.
Great review, thanks. Just placed my order for the PPQ 9mm. A MUST HAVE for the collection. :)
Great video and your watch goes quite well with it. Even though I live in Illinois I just bought a S&W 632 from Blyths and they were great to deal with, I highly recommend them. Thanks for your very informative videos.
I absolutely love my PPQ, it shoots rings around my Glock 19, S&W M&P, and Springfield XDm. I agree 100% with Sturm, the trigger makes all the difference in the world.
Excellent review! Great presentation and information.
By the way, I forgot to say your video is a good honest review of the pistol. Keep up the good work. I have come to value your comments
Great review. The best I've seen on the PPQ.
Great video and after watching this review I had to have one so I found one at Plainfield Shooting supplies here in Indiana. I was lucky because they had 2 but in .40. I couldn't be happier. It's my first gun but not my last. Your video's are very informative. Thanks for showing us all the details.
I like your presentation; no joking, lip smacking, um & uh and very to the point. You are a star
Awesome review man! Love your vids
Good review, I am considering buying a PPQ and looking at reviews of it including yours. I was just at Blythes in Griffith just last week. Its great to see a fellow hoosier posting some awesome reviews on youtube!
Incredible markmanship
First, the PPQ from everything I've seen and read looks great. It was cool to have your take on it also.
Secondly, I really enjoyed the production value of this review. Im not sure if I've missed something, but this video just seemed more streamlined and to the point I guess.
In any case. Keep up the work, you've got a very entertaining and informative channel.
Holy crap! That is some exceptional shooting! I just picked one up yesterday, I hope I can shoot half as good as you!
My wife and I are looking to acquire one this weekend. We presently have a P22 with this same mag release and we both love it. ( I guess it's a chocolate or vanilla argument ) Thank you for your review. Straight forward and honest, as always.
I can't wrap my mind around people seeming to have difficulty with the mag release on these pistols. Forget using your thumb, just use your f!@#ing index finger! It's so much faster, and it's not difficult to adapt to at all! SMFH
Because some people know how to actually shoot firearms by not taking their finger off the trigger when they reload so they can faster put out rounds
@@ZeroHero1124 You violated the #1 rule in firearms. Keep your finger OFF the trigger until you are READY to fire.
Very VERY good review. My hats off to you sir!
MOST EXCELLENT review....did a handgun class at my friend's ranch a few days ago with my steyr m40a1....loved it 'til i had to quick release mags (have stubby thumbs with arthritis settin' in)...need to practice wayyy more... .40s&w ammo is pricier than 9mm, so decided to get a good 9mm..that nite, another student brought in a new ppq (had never seen one)...got to handle it...instant love..(mag release works for me)..ordered one from friend/dealer yesterday...arrives tomorrow...happy happy
I agree completely. Very professional work . Thanks for this channel.
Great review. I loved this pistol when it first came out, with the exception of the mag release. Glad I waited - I got the M2 version and found that it is everything I want in a polymer midsize 9mm pistol. I found that I have similar accuracy using 115gr ammo and that the sights were spot on. The Walther seems to be everything I wished the Glock 19 would be...definitely quite pleased with my purchase.
Great review. Very informative. Nicely done. Thanks!
Thank you for a good straight to the point review
Thanks, Jeff.
Exceptional review of the PPQ. Thorough and insightful. Glad you mentioned about the defensive carry of this gun and the AS trigger. I had the P99 AS and it is quite light, and it doesn't take much pressure to fire. I feel the SRT on the Sig's to be similar in that training and caution are required for defensive carry. I'm contemplating one of these or the HK P30L.. One other way to release the mag, the one i use on my HKs is to use the thumb and trigger finger at the same time, works very well
Really glad to see this video, I really like Walthers and I'm getting my CCW later this year so I'll really consider this weapon. BTW, I've shot a lot of HK/Walther's in the past, and I find that to actuate the mag catch its best to drop your index finger or use your middle finger to work the latch instead of your thumb. I find that method to be a lot quicker and it works for more users.
bought myself the PPQ M2 9mm on dec. 30 the day after my 21st bday and I love it! it has an amazing trigger and the grip is super comfy
He spent a lot of time talking about the mag release but the new versions have a push button. We bought this gun for my wife and I can't stop shooting it. I've shot some of the best groups with of my life with it. We even had the slide and bottoms of the mags cerakoted pink and my buddies and I still take several turns with it at the range. It is a lot fun to shoot and I would recommend it to anyone.
I want to thank you for your excellent reviews. I enjoy the concise, clear and cogent way in which you present the essential information. May I humbly request a review of the Sig P320 (subcompact if possible)? Thanks again!
Loving all the speculative comments from those who don't own a PPQ and have not trained with one. I have owned the classic M1 and still own the M2 American mag release version. Carries well in a Garret Silent Thunder
This review is one of the major reasons I went out and purchased a PPQ. One of the best Firearm purchases ive made.
great review. I just bought one a few weeks ago for about $600 as you said and am very pleased with it.
Really enjoyed the video, quick, to the points, informative, good shooting, and last but not least, never heard the "word" uhhh..., dang near intelligent. Good job.
Great review. You covered everything I cared about, including range accuracy.
Yes, concise but straight to the point. Good job!
I love the PPQ M2 and have picked up the 4" and 5".
No regrets!
Great Ron Paul ad, he's really the man for really really real.
I really want to get my hands on this pistol. After watching a lot of reviews, I believe this would be a perfect concealed carry gun. I am also looking at getting a Walther PPS as a back up.
VERY GOOD GUN CHANNEL...14 MIN OF EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GUN...NO TIME WASTED :D
Nice review. I was thinking about picking up a G19 but am not a huge fan of the ergonomics. All of the reviews I watch for this talk about how excellent the trigger and feel of this pistol are, so I am definitely going to have to get some range time at a local shop before making my final decision. Thanks!
Great review, Great firearm and GREAT shooting!
Wow you have deadly accuracy! kudos!
Just got a Walther PPQ Navy my favorite gun in my arsenal.
Great review. Succinct, to the point and very informative. Im subscribing
I've yet to see a bad review of this pistol, aside from lil pesonal things. Everyone i have seen or know who has fired it says the trigger is superb. Nice review sir. Mike
Another great, concise video.
Brilliant review. Thanks!
I'm headed to a gun show this weekend I really hope I can find one of these ppq's in 9mm. It is extremely similar to the hk p30 which I would love to have but is out of my price range, great review btw and subscribed!
This gun is awesome the best way for using the magrelease is by using your right middlefinger. Just put your Triggerfinger of the trigger and let it rest on the slide and put your right middlefinger on the release and push iT downwards. ITS just so simpel !
Recently purchased one, and I love it! I have the M1 version with the pedal release, and it didn't take me anytime at all to get used to it. In fact, I think I actually prefer it to the standard push-button style. I don't even have to alter my grip to hit the levers. And the trigger is AWESOME! You have to experience it to see what the fuss is about. Great gun!
Well, now that the M2's have the push button releases, I suppose he has nothing to complain about with this!
And the M1 is still in production and selling well in 2021! They got it right the 1st time 😃. Paddle release FTW.
I love my PPQ Navy. It has to be the best semi I've ever owned. I can't say enough about the trigger. It's awesome. No jams, or failures. I got used to the magazine release, and I actually like it now. Great firearm, worth every penny.
Damn, nice to meet a fellow hoosier; enjoy your vids. Keep up the great work.
Great Gun and Video! Got the Walther PPQ M2. has a Thumb release version.
Great review!
Finally got my PPQ M2 .40 today. Let me tell you. Reviews are spot on. Dead on accurate, and that TRIGGER!!!! And the ergonomics are literally molded for a human hand. A superior pistol in every aspect. Under priced in my opinion, but who can complain about that. The best striker fired trigger on planet earth. German quality at its very best
Very good review as always . Came here after watching the yankee marshals the best striker fired gun part 1/2 Then hickok45's ppq review. After watching all three reviews and now this one i cant wait to get my hands on a ppq definitely a 9mm poly to add to the collection. With the m2 version the mag release is push button so in my eyes virtually no flaws.
exelent review... thanks!! i will looking for another review from you
Nice review. Very informative. Thanks.
I found this video to be the best on here regarding the walther ppq. Keep up the good work. Any suggestions for a holster?
Excellent video!
The VP9 looks like an imitation of this.
I'm still carrying and loving my P99 C as.
Keith Richards Liver Best sub-compact carry gun, hands down!! IMO
woah! Love the sound of that gun firing!
great review
Found it, thank you for taking the time to respond. I posted it on our Facebook page.
nice shooting. I dry fired my friend's PPQ at the match and now I want to try one now and possibly own one.
This is on the top of my list of modern pistols to purchase immediately following a Caracal in 9x19mm.
Excellent vid, and 'what I like to call a dingus' made me LOL
Great review. I've been seriously considering getting hold of a PPQ. I currently have a PPS, and I absolutely love it. If it is indicative of Walther's quality, then I'm sure I'd be pleased with the PPQ. Regarding the mag release, I don't have a problem switching back and forth between Walther and Glock. I do use my index for the Walther's mag release, and find that it is much more easily actuated the more forward (closer to the muzzle) it is depressed. Excellent channel. Gonna subscribe.
First gun I have purchesed made by Walther and I love it so far, I have shot about 450 rounds out of it and love it, I am now also looking at the new CCP that comes out very soon as a back up gun as the PPQ will be my main go to gun
I own a Glock 19 and you show me this. Great trigger and very accurate. Man, my gun list is getting longer. Already purchased 4 guns this year.
So glad I bought this one, no regrets. I have slightly smaller hands than Sturm, so I actually love the mag release on this gun, and now I really prefer it over button releases.
I remember those! I have a cold weather down jacket I can pack an arsenal into. In Arizona jackets are out 75% of the time. I just got a snub nose .357 Air Weight S&W and or a Bobcat Beretta .22. Both are tiny and light. I carried the Walther PPK for years when I had a paper route in a really shitty neighborhood. Now I use Sig Sauer autos, or H&K. My 9mm Hi Power was the first auto I carried for protection. It did indeed save my life Oct 3, 2003 when some tweaker went off the deep end.
As always, good work. Fun to see a new vid. Just a small thing though, you might want to shorten the intro by a second or two. IMO it'd tidy up the entire show.
Awesome review on a very nice pistol. And the shooting wasn't bad either!!
Really good shooting. The m2 with its button release solves your big concern. The trigger is still butter smooth with a fast reset and I shoot it with my small hands better than most handguns. It is well worth the price.
Nice review again Mr tim. I only read and seen this pistol online but it looks a lot like the h and k hk 45 and p30. But I bet not as pricey.
Well done sir.
Great Gun too. I am hooked!
@Gary1911A1 The grip only makes it a bit fatter feeling but doesn't really increase the reach much. The muzzle jump is more pronounced with the PPQ than a Glock, or so that was my impression. However, it's still quite controllable.
If these had a standard mag release I would absolutely buy one of these!! The ergonomics and trigger are incredible!
Great vid.. and nice little plug for Blythes, lol! My fave shop!
This is gona be my next 9mm, Such a nice gun.
I absolutely love mine . I’ve got the PPQ M2 Navy with the threaded barrel and I think it also has a port to drain water from the striker channel and other parts of the slide. I’ve never tried shooting it under water but it’s supposed to be capable of that.
Excellent video. The Gold Dot's got some respectable muzzle flash uh?
I have the M2. I love this pistol.
Welcome from Valpo. :) I practically live in Blythe's here in town. Thanks for watching and check out the INGO gun forum if you haven't already.
Subscribed. Nice work.
