Thank You very much. I am floored by how good of a shooter this gun can make ya. Almost like instant marksman..>! When I was young, I was a mediocre ice skater. One day, I got my hands on the new thing, plastic boots (yeah, I am old), and all of a sudden, I was able to do lots of things...! The PPQ M2 is the same deal. So's the PPS M2 for that matter. The Dynamic Duo.
Great video! Thanks for the instruction on stripping it down. And also thanks for addressing the parts availability and sharing your experience with finding parts. Bookmarked this video for future use.
Nice presentation on how to disassemble the PPQ M2. I'm coming up on a thousand rounds and it is about time for a thorough cleaning of the inside. I think I will give it a try.
I just purchased this gun. I originally wanted to get the XD 9mm however, the store I went to was out of that model. So my choices were down to a Glock, XDm-40, or this one. I picked up the Glock and completely did not like the grip. Way to box'y' for me.. So it came down to the Springfield XDM-40 or the Walther PPQ.. and It honestly came down to the feel. This weapon wasn't even on my list to check out, but as soon as I grabbed it, it felt like a glove. I have only held a H&K that felt almost identical.. It felt great! So I went with this weapon.. I haven't fired it yet, but just from all the reviews I'm sure I wont have any problems with this weapon.. very happy with the purchase.
Thank you so much for making such a detailed video of field striiping this pistol! I watched a video on Walthers website and the guy released the slide giving or showing how to release it. Your video rocks!
Awesome teaching video. I have newfound confidence to get into the guts of my PPQ. Better yet, I can re-run the video if I have problems getting it back together!
Great video on a detailed stripping of the Walther PPQ. I love Walther Arms PPQ and the P99 as both are easy to maintain in every aspect. I would actually argue that they are slightly easier to maintain then even the Glock. As you don't even need a site pusher to change the sites on the Walther PPQ or P99. I agree with you completely on the fact that it's more important that a gun be easy to maintain and clean with very simple tools and that parts be easy to find and replace when needed.
I love this pistol, I recently got the M1 version because I prefer the paddle magazine release. My edc weapon is the Walther PPS. Thank you for doing a video on the detail strip of the PPQ slide. Much easier than my H&K P30, where you have to use a roll pin punch.
I went looking last year because I own my own security company, and had open mind about different models. Once I held it, I knew it was the one and did not bother looking anymore. I love it. It either fits your hand or it doesn't. That is why people buy it. Everything I read is about how it fits the hand.
Thank you for this great video. I'm between purchasing this one or the Glock 19 Gen 4 for concealed carry, and was concerned about not finding parts or qualified technician to fix PPQ M2 should I decide to purchase it,
These pistols fit in Black Hawk Serpa for Smith and Wesson MP 9/40 like it was designed for the Walther! Also Black Hawk Leather products for M&P 9/40 will fit the Walther PPQ perfectly.
Great video, thanks for precious informations! I am a happy owner of an M2 an I wanted to do a more deep maintenance. I just have a doubt I didn't red all comments, i hope you didn't answer already to a similar question. I saw there are several small springs unmounting the pistol. Do they need a change after a lot of rounds? At least the firing pin spring? Thanks in advance
Thank you very informative got me right through my first complete break/assem. I'm used to glock /80 20 platforms but l like the mechanics of this side arm and chose it over the 19 sorry Hungaria,,,,, Germany has you on compact luger design, but it was hard to let go of the custom versitality of the glock platform.....
Wonderful Video. I have a new Canik TP9 sf and a Walther PPQ M2 and they seem to be very similar. Canik instruction manual is not very clear (for me). Viewing your video on PPQ m2 made it somewhat easy to disassemble rear slide portion to take out striker assembly and extractor on the Canik TP9 sf. TP9 sf is copied after P99. Thanks, Oz Mazzetta
Will it Hurt a recoil sensitive Person with weak hands and Is the slide easy to rack? How Is the recoil compared to the Glock 42,17,19&26?Thanx very Much for your reply
I found one thing that wasn't mentioned. You need to reassemble the extractor before reinstalling the striker assembly because a part of the striker will protrude into the firing pin plunger well and stop it's placement. I know it was shown done in that order but it is important to do it that order.
Just watched the video, especially the magazine part. As dutchman10mm said if you're using the M2 (right handed) it could hang itself on the first notch. So i'd say if you're going to use it left handed (release button on the right side) the P99 magazine should work with a selfmade notch on the other side ;)
I owned a P99 AS Trigger 9mm about 2 years ago, loved it. Problem is magazines were very hard to find, and spare parts were very very hard to find. So I sold it for a ............. (I hate saying this), a Glock 19 gen 4. Super easy to work on and magazines are everywhere. I am worried Walther will come out with a new gun in about 5 years and then forget about the PPQ model completely, I want a gun that will have spare parts available for decades and magazines plentiful.
just subscribed....please....the video for disassembly of the frame, trigger. Do a separate vid for us on this. great vid, xtremely comprehensive. make the frame vid plz?
Walther PPQ M2 9mm barrel should last at least 20,000. Probably less for the 4O S&W and 45acp? Even though the 40 S&W psi is 35,001 and the 45acp is 21,000 compared to 35,000 psi for the 9mm. Really like the Walther PPQ M2 pistol.
Good video. Oddly, instead of a pin punch, I used the exact same Bic pen in your shot to disassemble the entire slide. The ball-point tip popped off the firing pin end cap and the ink tube worked as a punch on the extractor fulcrum. Furthermore, to agree with you, my late father who taught me to shoot used to say, "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian." (Being a Native American, I can say this sort of thing and not give a shit about offending anyone...)
fast forward 2021. just got my Q5 match and ordered the only 17rd. m2 mag in the nation for $58 shipped. To be fair, covid supply probably contributed to that
Thanks young fella for the detailed break down of the slide of the PPQ M2 like the one I just bought my wife. I do wish you had gone into more detail on the breakdown of the frame assembly and in particular how to make any ajustments or corrections on how to make the slide release lever easier to push down with your right thumb ( we're right handed ) insted of also having to use your left hand, like what is shown in the instructions to release the slide. What's one supposed to do if your left hand is out of action when you have to chamber a round, unless you know how to use a door jamb or a table top to push the slid back a little bit while yea push the slid release down.( Showing my age now ) I did call Walther and was told that the lever would break in eventually. I suspect that by that time, my wife won't have any skin left on her thumb. To much glee, this young lady I'm married to now has taken a liken to shooting my 1929 ser.# XXXX Colt 1911 38 super auto, but I have to find an extended slide release lever to put on that for her that will work over the grip slab.Any thoughts about this issue???? Thanks again for the great vids.and please keep them coming. Hope to hear from yea soon. Steve
Thank you for the vid sir! Very informative; I prefer the M1 series as to the M2 though.. Not a big fan of HK, but I believe that Walther did something correct with the long paddle. Cheers and thanks!!
Great video! Please do not call the company „Woolfer“ - it is an old German name and right is „Walter“ - the h is not to hear 🙃 Kind regards from Vienna (Austria)
Great video! Just purchased my PPQ M2, and gleaned a lot of good information from your review. Thank you.
10 years later this video is still good.
very informative,I purchased the PPQ M1 last week, smooth trigger, very accurate.
Thank You very much. I am floored by how good of a shooter this gun can make ya. Almost like instant marksman..>! When I was young, I was a mediocre ice skater. Excellent video; very informative and useful. Thanks so much for making the effort to post it! Bob in Calgary
Nice presentation on how to disassemble the PPQ M2. I'm coming up on a thousand rounds and it is about time for a thorough cleaning of the inside. I think I will give it a try.
Excellent information and video! Thanks. I sure love everything about my PPQ M2!

Great informative review for easy long-term maintenance instructions. Thanks Much
Excellent review. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.
Thank you very much Dutchman on your cleaning detail on the Walter PPQ detail. I have the M1 or Classic and found your video very useful.
REALLY GREAT JOB! Thanks for doing this. Answered some questions I had.
Nice post. very informative and done in a slow pace [ which is good ].
Awesome teaching video. I have newfound confidence to get into the guts of my PPQ. Better yet, I can re-run the video if I have problems getting it back together!

Excellent review dutchman. Looking forward to more from you.
awesome detail strip video. best one ive seen on the ppq.
Excellent video, I currently own 2 PPQ M2 pistols. and I sware by them.
Thank you for this great video. I'm between purchasing this one or the Glock 19 Gen 4 for concealed carry, and was concerned about not finding parts or qualified technician to fix PPQ M2 should I decide to purchase it,
Excellent Review! Thank you for sharing!
Nice Vid! I just ordered mine! PPQ M2 5 inches...
These pistols fit in Black Hawk Serpa for Smith and Wesson MP 9/40 like it was designed for the Walther! Also Black Hawk Leather products for M&P 9/40 will fit the Walther PPQ perfectly.
Good job and great explanation.
damn that extractor pin flew off under the sofa, thanks God I found it :)
Great information! Thank you.

Thank you very much :) I bought my first gun. PPQ M2B - 5” barrel. Looking forward to shoot it :)
8:44 is when the video truly starts.

Would you do a complete frame disassembly?
Great guns....sold most of my glocks and replaced them with these guns.
Will it Hurt a recoil sensitive Person with weak hands and Is the slide easy to rack? How Is the recoil compared to the Glock 42,17,19&26?Thanx very Much for your reply
I just got mine and the magazine is stuck any suggestions to fix it?
What size punch do you use in this video?
great vids. can you do some vids about sight options and holsters?
a disassembly vid of the extended ppq magazines would be great
great video thanx!
Well lit, well spoken, well done, thanks.
Good video!

Where we get titanium spring
Thank You
Great video and review! Doing a complete strip is really overkill.......basic field strip, a little CLP on sear points and rails, and you are GTG!
did find the one from HecklerGlock Sauer. another vid from u would b great!
Good tip on why not to get the baby eagle mags.. didnt know that
Thanks for posting :) good info. Just ordered one. Have the M2 in .22. Would appreciate a M2 .22 takedown if you have access to one.

I need someone to mod some P99 mags for thr M2
Great video. Please don't get me wrong, but you forget to show how to remove and install the different back straps. Peace.

Sir that's an excellent video. Please make a video on the HK Vp9. Thank you.
Can an ultrasonic cleaner do this

Great review except the $150 in spare part, eternal warranty!!
Do me a favor, how can I fix this, when I pull the trigger it doesn't click or shoot
+wesley baker put some ammo in the magazine
+sam schrenker not what I mean, it won't fire no matter what.
I'd put adhesive tape on that first notch of the p99 magazine, and problem solved.
Guys I think the gun's broken.. It's been sitting on the table for 5 minutes so far and it hasn't killed anybody yet
bradley morgan thats cause there isnt a liberal in the room
I recently ended a brief affair with a Sig P320X Compact and returned to my PPQ.
15:18 "... and firearm that you can't use is totally useless." You should make that into a bumper sticker. LOL
Thanks young fella for the detailed break down of the slide of the PPQ M2 like the one I just bought my wife.

Wilson Combat for just about ANYTHING 1911
Thank you for the vid sir! Very informative; I prefer the M1 series as to the M2 though.. Not a big fan of HK, but I believe that Walther did something correct with the long paddle. Cheers and thanks!!
My back strap broke
Excellent video (but it's pronounced "Valter"). :^)
No, its not. The W is the same in german as in English. Only english actors doing germans in movies make it a V.
@@ikwer111 you should tell the Carl Walther official instagram page who pronounce it correctly as "Valta"
Komisch, es gibt so wenig auf deutsch, über diese Pistole.
Great video!
Please do not call the company „Woolfer“ - it is an old German name and right is „Walter“ - the h is not to hear 🙃
Kind regards from Vienna (Austria)
ppq m1
That's what I went with for my newest duty carry. Felt it was a better option should I suffer an injury or hand to change hands for some reason.
08:30 minutes video... is still blah blah blah...
Why make a pistol mechanism more complicated than a mechanical clock?
2500 without problems highly doubt that
If it is kept clean and used with quality ammo, then it is totally believable. 2,500 rounds is not that many for a modern polymer pistol.
shitty pistol.
