In this video we shoot and discuss the Walther PPQ M2 NAVY model in 9mm Luger which comes threaded from the factory for suppressor use. Although we did have an issue with a damaged slide stop after several hundred rounds though the gun we still feel that this is a great 9mm handgun and offers a ton of improvements over other striker fired offerings on the market. We are also confident in Walther's customer service and will report on the warranty repair of this particular gun at a later date.

You don't have to bring the slide back for takedown. It's not a Glock. Check your chamber make sure it's empty, pull the trigger, pull the takedown tabs down and pull the slide off. The absolute easiest gun to takedown, this is one of the best features of the PPQ that gets over shadowed by its amazing trigger.
To hear it unsupressed, press 3 on your keyboard. To hear it supressed, press 7 on your keyboard.
The gun that James Bond should be using.
also the ppk
P5 Compact, too.
He should have at the very least adopted it at the beginning of Spectre...or if not halfway at the end of Skyfall. Get rid of that antiquated and underpowered crappy Pee Pee Kay. The nostalgia is well and truly past it's use by date!
Only p99 or ppk the rest is heresy.
They jumped the gun* with the P99 in Tomorrow never dies. Hopefully Bond 3.0 will be rocking the PPQ.
*pun
I have the walther ppq m2 9mm 4" barrel, I've put 450 round through it and it has not jammed or anything.. I fucking love this gun, hands down best gun I've ever bought so far
Mr potato You're baked, aren't you?
Mr. potato The 5” model lives stuck to a magnet on the headboard...
Basically, the suppressed gun is airsoft. Soooo freaking quiet dude this is amazing!
Thank you for shooting the dirt! Now, we can hear (or not hear) the noise of the gun.
I just want to say thank you Eric and Chad . you make it easy for us newbies to understand what you doing. explaining what you're doing and how you're doing it and the problems that arise are excellent thank you very much for making it simple for us I'm sure some of the people that have they've been doing it as long as you guys have are probably bored with it but I do appreciate you guys taking tablet explaining exactly what is happening and what is going wrong with the weapon thank you very much.
+Hans Adelfang dude there's nothing boring about my job! I get to break guns and take you guys along for the ride. We enjoy reviewing guns. I realize that reviews may not necessarily be what people are here for, but I'd like to think we do an okay job. Thanks for the support.
+Iraqveteran8888 well then KEEP doing what you all Love because I, not only do I enjoy them as much as you all making them. I LOVE what you all do. Keep up the Great job! Also have been subscribed to full 30. and have them on my you tube. They also do a Great job. sorry for babbling. Anyway thank you again...
The only difference is the mag release, so if people prefer the paddle-style they get the m1.
and they cannot use the same mag, doh... im going m2 as I think there might be more support for it.
+Chris Sabre well there is equal support for either ppq m1 or m2 you can't go wrong. They take same recoil spring options, sights, grips and holsters. If you get the m1 you can use Walther p99 mags if you get the m2 you can use the canik tp9 mags.
I absolutely LOVE my Walther PPQ M2 9mm. I recently just purchased the .45ACP version. I've run several courses and about 1000+ rounds through her. No issues. Very good gun and the trigger is fantastic out of the box. I did change out my sights to Dawson Precision FO sights.
Had the same thing broken on a PPQ M2 that I bought used. Sent it to Walther and they fixed it in short order at no cost including shipping. I have put 300 rds are so through it since with no problems. Love the gun and the customer service.
I just ordered a PPQ M1 today btw, M1 or M2 this gun is great, gotta love German engineering.
I agree with you!! I LOVE PPQ to
Akwowkaoalama
I love the PPQ. I've got 3 of them, two in the 9mm and one in 45. I love this gun! Much better than most others!
18:01 why would you even do that 😂😂
The flag on his jacket isn't backwards, it is just the American way to wear a flag. It's how a flag looks when you're moving forward and it is flapping back with the wind. This is how a lot of soldiers and aircraft display their flags around the world as well.
+TR-8R I got a uniform, almost the same one but mine is from "Heimevernet" which is kind of a civilian protection devision and you can join them when you're 16. But the flag on that one is also backwards, so it's not just an american way to wear a flag.
+DDK Josef Stalin it's the military way of wearing a flag on your arm. It's supposed to be pointing backwards and on the right shoulder.
and then it's not just the american way like TR8-8R said.
exactly.
Got my PPQ M2 Navy last week and put 200 rounds thru it the other day. I love this gun and the trigger is amazing.
Love you guys, keep up the great work promoting our sport.
had that exact jacket when i was in the norwegian army, great piece of garment!
+dorskien Looks like the F1, but newer
+mixdur123 M75 Feltjakke
Are Hegdal stemmer
+dorskien= Yes very true I was going to comment on the jacket it's very nice and looks brand new
Great review. I love, love my Walther PPQ M2 and PPS M2. The quality of Walther firearms coming out of the Ulm,Germany factory is phenomenal. Which is where the PPQ and PPS are assembled.
Bought a PPQ M2 last October (standard model) and love it. The trigger out-of-the-box may be a bit light for carry, but for a range gun it's hard to beat.
I think its great how you guys switch shooters and get bot perspectives in your reviews. You both compliment each other well. Thanks for the continued source for educational and entertaining firearms videos!
gotta say, I really enjoyed this video, I had alot of fun watching you guys have fun with what you love to do. so many gun vids don't carry the actual enjoyment of why some of us just love to shoot guns!
The ejection on that gun is very consistent.
I love my M1 9mm. I know some people are iffy on carrying it because of the target-esque trigger, but I have no qualms with it. I carry mine every day. Great video, as always.
Honesty is why I prescribed to your channel. Awesome and keep it up!
wow the ammo shell plinging on the table was louder than the shot itself.. really nice
My first pistol, loved it. Miss it.
You guys are the best! Thanks for this. And I love that PPQ!
Just got the PPQ M2 5"... Can't wait to get it out on the range!!!
since Rick from the walking dead is British he may not even know he's using a gun. For example, when he taught that boy how to shoot that glock and he pointed to the serrations and said "here's your safety, flip that and your ready to fire."
Eric and Chad seem like the nicest guys. It's so nice to see a gun channel that speaks highly of quality products and doesn't bitch and nitpick at things they don't like. Keep up the great work fellas.
I bought a brand new PPQ from the factory and have NEVER had the slide fail to stop on an empty mag. I have DUMPED rounds through this thing and have never had even a single issue.
One phone call to walther will take care of that slide stop. Walther had great customer service and fixed an old ppk/s that they didn't even make, for free.
Chad was like a kid with a new toy...good for you brother glad to see some real enjoyment.
This is the pistol that is my primary weapon of choice.
In counter strike?? Lol
+Arnav Behari Rekt😂
No dumbass in real life.
This and a usp are the ultimate pistol. Can't go wrong with a Glock for custom aspect tho.
A rifle should be your primary weapon of choice. Like always.
Very good video guys. I purchased a PPQ pretty much from this presentation and love it. Now to get that suppressor!!!. Didn't even know they existed
It's been quite interesting to watch Chad come out of his shell over the last year or two. My friend worked with him at his last job and i would see him occasionally there and he has just lightened up so much it seems since then
My love affair with shooting started during my 7 years service in the British Army and I can relate to the big cheesy grins on the faces of these guys when shooting, as I'm sure many other subscribers to this channel can too! Great video guy's as always, very informative, interesting and fun to watch. Keep up the great work you do at showing weapons I have not seen before or indeed weapons I have heard of but not seen in the flesh being operated.
Woah, it looks amazing with the silencer/suppressor, definitely gonna to do that!
The slide is not locking back because you are riding the slide lock with your thumb. I had the same issue until I learned to keep my thumb away.
Bingo, glad someone pointing this out.
He said slide stop is broke
Exactly
I had that first , thought was a PPQ fail, then it locked open while there was still rounds in the mag, thought was the PPQ, but finally found out i was the failure. Awesome gun!
The PPQ is an excellent pistol. IMO it's the best striker-fired pistol out there south of $1000. Eric mentions it somewhat, but this thing has an AMAZING trigger, not to mention the reset is around a tenth (.10) of an inch!
I have the M1, which has the "European" paddle-style mag release, which I've grown to love as well as it is ambidextrous.
I've run pretty much everything in 9mm through it and been pretty brutal with it and it's been rock-solid reliable. Several thousand rounds later and to date (knock wood), not a single malfunction.
Not one.
Eric is correct, though. The sights are cheesy. First thing I did to mine was install some night sights on it. Gun is tack-driver accurate.
I have one of these and I love it. I have put a small 3 port (2 side & 1 up) muzzle break on it. Together with trigger I can fast shoot multiple rounds with unbelievable accuracy. However, I have had some FTEs when using old cheap 115gr ammo. When using quality ammunition (any modern commercial), I have never had an issue with the pistol. When I carry this pistol, which isn't often due to its size, I feel completely confident that I am WELL armed.
I love my ppq m2 navy. By far my favorite gun so far
love the PPQ!
I am so proud of you guys for finally getting a navy, you did fail to mention it can be fired immediately after full submirsion
this is my primary suppressor host, and one of my favorite pistols by far.. amazing trigger, controls, grip, etc.. love it.. i did replace the basic military style sites for some tru-glo's which make it even better.. and freedom munitions is pretty much all i feed through it too.. i highly recommend to any and all.
+callofgeorge as for the slide stop, Walther will probably warranty that no problem. I've never had an issue out of my ppq, but they replaced the whole slide on my p22 after an overcharged round blew the extractor off.
Nice choice, I've been curious about the PPQ!
Love that Black Rifle Coffee commercial! Walther PPQ is on my next gun list.
I have heard a lot about the walther ppk so it's nice to see it in action thanks lads
that will be ppq then Lmao
That's a beautiful jacket you got there Eric. Great video by the way. I am not a Walther fan myself, but I would not roll over and refuse it.
I use the 5" version of the PPQ for competitions and I agree the trigger is excellent, but the sights suck. I would love to see some reviews on upgraded sights.
a great video an even better gun!! glad to see Chad having fun or coming out of his shell!! I think very highly of u both!! Shot alot of service pistols and hands down the PPQ wins...not to mention great for women as well!!
I Love My PPQ-M2 9mm so much, I've thought about buying Another One !!
I find loading the Magazines to be the easiest of Any with the only Exception the 45ACP 1911 Magazines from Wilson Combat. I picked up mine for $517.00 when they first came out !!!
I looked at a Walther P99 while my wife was shopping at Gander Mountain and the P99 was one of the most comfortable guns I've ever put in my hand. I mean it for perfect. I will probably purchase one in the future.
i have a few pistols, this is my absolute favorite. I swapped the sites out with Trijicon Night Sites and added a Viridian XL5. Its just awesome.
Nive Norwegian jacket, my personal fav aswell. Cant go hunting without it.
Sander Bergheim nice to see another Sander
Sander van Duren Yes. We brothers need to stick together.
Always awesome - Thanks Guys!
Walther's warranty should cover the slide catch. - Even if you are not original purchaser.
Thank you for the awesome video!
I've been wanting a PPQ for a while now too.
Love the walking dead shots there.... CORRRAL!
Kool video, I just purchased one of these today.
I live in the UK so unfortunately I can't own a firearm, but your videos do a great job of scratching that itch :)
Sorry to hear about the broken slide stop. That's one of my favorite features of the gun. It's about the perfect dimensions.
Anchors aweigh my boys. Just picked up a Tactical SD as my very first gun.
Bought the exact pistol used in Decemeber, LOVE it. Thought about upgrading the sights, but I don't yet have a suppressor or carry it enough.
"I still love this gun to death..." Wouldn't want anything less for a firearm.
Great video guys. Another great 9mm,. You know it's getting very hard trying to buy my first 9mm so many models so many good guns.
favorite channel on CZcams
"Freedom Munitions"? These guys sure know how to pander to their audience...
+lptomtom first thing i noticed as well xD
uh, that's part of generating customers /fan base.if they behaved like half the dealers in my neck of the woods, they would have no viewers
Called Product Placement
+David Lee I was under the impression that they were doing product placement due to sponsors.
+texasdee slinglead could be wrong.
"Extra girth" is always a good thing ;)
"Carl" that cracks me up. I have said the same thing to my wife. The people on walking dead sure don't know how to shoot a gun. Great video guys.
Extra soft spot for my PPQ M2 as I used it to qualify for my LTC.
My wife got me the granular Talon grips, along with a headlight. Oh yeah!
For conceal carry, it's too fat in the grip for me, personally, to carry, but great for so many other uses. I absolutely love it on so many levels. I'm a short guy, so will choose something thinner for personal carry.
Really loving the Norwegian camo. Thumbs up for that!
you got a norwegian jacket im from norway youre my favourite youtube gun channel
I have the PPQ M2 w/o the threaded barrel. I have Hundreds of rounds through mine. Not a single hiccup. Excellent fit and finish. I love the gun. I think its equal to if not better than the HK VP9. It's in my CC rotation because of how reliable it has been for me.
Just picked up the Walther PPQ M2 .45 and it is absolutely amazing. Such an incredibly smooth shooter. The trigger is excellent and frankly I can't imagine a better gun to have next to your night stand or at the range. I have a few other guns as well, but this thing really seems like a great all arounder. Awesome review!
P.S. I've put about 250 rounds through mine and the slide locked to the rear every single time. I know the slidestop is what messed yours up, but just wanted to mention it.
Phathom They say recoil on the Walther 45 is 30% lower than a 1911. Do you agree?
Great gun! I've it, too... I love it.
Very nice that you don't blame the gun or company, for this malfanction. You are very objective! Thumbs up and abo for this channel for that.
Thanks for keeping it real Eric
Great video, fellas!
Thanks guys.
Damn y'all are having too much fun i wish i was there shooting the suppressed and non suppressed ppq with y'all i don't even own and can but will some day keep having fun with making more awesome videos y'all are great
I own a full metal replica of this gun. Looks 100% real. But nothing can beat the real steel. Awesome video!
It would be interesting to see a follow up video on your interaction with Walther and what was done and see the gun in action after the fix for those of us who don't do Facebook. Thanks for all your great videos and all you do for the gun community!
great video thanks for a honest opinion
norwegian feild jacket there :)
Excellent review...
Love your jacket :) regards a norwegian viewer
Love that gun! thanks for the vid. =)
Excellent video as usual, but long. Thanks.
Your TWD reference was awesome
.
Very nice the PPQ M2 NAVY with suppressor 👌👍😲
As a norwegian cool seeing you wearing that jacket :)
wow that's quiet, awesome!!
KORAAAAAAAAL!!!!!! best line ever eric!
Thumbs up for the Norwgian field jacket! Spent so many hours in that uniform :)
Sig P226 navy comparison video would be cool.
Awesome video definitely my next pistol
Can't wait to see if the Hearing Protection Act passes. I'll be so psyched if it does.
Like any machine, there is the potential for parts breakage, doesn't change the fact that Walther makes a decent firearm
Cover the Walther PPK pls I saw it in Spectre and fell in love.
Awsome vids like always.
sounds amazing
