well Done Nigel !
This is great, especially when working in this area for Community Transport Calderdale. It would be good if you could do one of these for Tenterfields industrial estate, abit further down on Burnley road.
I lived on erringden rd in late 60s the best of places and the valley
I lived on erringden road in the 60s , worked at henry broadbents serving my apprenticeship
Mum and dad were the Southwells
Drank in the shoulder of mutton every dinner break when I worked at Crossleys nut bolt just round the corner, opposite Elphin Court
Hi. I was born and raised in Cragg Vale. I remember the Fire Station Siren as plain as day, even though we lived up on the 'tops'. It was an old WW2 Air Raid siren. Anyone remember the 'chippy' that was opposite the Shoulder of Mutton? Just after the Viaduct.
Would be great if you could make a video on Cragg Vale please.
The chippy was run by Doug and Iris and was next door to Willy Whiteley's sweet shop.
@@NigglePics Hi. Wow, you got me now. I do not remember the sweet shop. If you walk under the railway viaduct heading up toward Cragg Vale, the chippy was just on the left. There were others, one at bottom of midgley road and another opposite dusty miller. Great videos by the way. I am just working my way through them all.
bring back cobbled streets they soak away water if built in a clever way.
