There’s one right where I live in South Florida Sawgrass Mills Mall. Still going strong along with the two Disney locations of course!!!! In fact I had dinner there today!!!!!!!! Is it true many locations have gone yes it is but the company is still around and places where there is one the restaurants still dong great. So I’m my opinion there isn’t a major “fall” as you imply by your title.
Can you do on about OAKS Park in Portland Oregon please?
Oh no I love Rain forest Cafe.
Oh man, I remember the one in Downtown Disney in California. Changing the Volcano from a sparkler to a little frilly thing really changed a lot of the ambiance
VVVOOOOLLLLCCCAAAANNNNOOOO
That was the one I went too believe it was my birthday too was amazing
@@webneoraven8661 oh how i loathed that announcement! Honestly even though the dessert itself tasted like heaven, that announcement alone kept me from ordering it!! I know it was my own insecurity and social anxiety talking but honestly they might as well have screamed "Whoa!! Stand back everyone!! Make room! This fat pig over here ordered the most giant dessert on our menu!" It was worse than the happy birthday clap chant for me!!
My mom and I hate those little frilly things…
@@calliemyersbuchanan6458
That’s not what I think when I hear “volcano” or say it but that’s just me. I would assume you ordered it to share it with someone or that you’d be like me and barely eat a piece of it because it’s way too rich.
For my friend's 10th birthday, her parents rented a limo and we drove to San Francisco and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The Rainforest Cafe was too expensive for my family to eat at so as a child, the combo of limo + expensive restaurant made me feel like a celebrity. Of course, now it's amusing that I thought the Rainforest Cafe was the height of luxury...but it was fairly expensive.
Dude that’s like a childhood dream birthday party, don’t play yourself lol
i went to the same cafe for my 11th birthday
I did this too! The parents took our whole class which was only 8 of us but still memorable!
I was one of the opening crew of the RFC in Nashville in 2000. I was one of 3 animal care specialists caring for 6 Parrots. I loved working there and would spend time on the rock in front of the restaurant giving educational talks about the birds and the environment. I hope I was able to make a small difference in somebody's thought perspective. Out of the 6 original birds , I know of 3 that are still around. One of the male vosmaeri eclectus brothers *beeker* just turned 23 and is happily living his retirement with me 💜
Bless you for taking in one of the parrots after they were phased out! That was such an ill-fated concept, considering the fact that parrots have such incredible lifespans. It wouldn't be surprising if some of these birds outlive their original handlers!
@@NumeroLetter unfortunately, of the original 6, the 2 macaws and the lesser sulfur crested cockatoo have passed . 😢 I lost contact with the gals that have the other eclectus and the other cockatoo. I would've taken more, but landrys wanted too much for the bird and the cages they were in were costly as well even though we were their caretakers since they were babies.
@@TrishDriveZoo I wish I got to go to those Rainforest Cafe's at their golden age
OMG I remember this!! I would always go to the rainforest cafe when my family and I would go to Nashville, and I have pictures of me by the rock listening to I'm assuming you, (because it is Beeker in the pic!). I was really little, like 2-3 years old, but as soon as I read where you said you would sit on the rock by the entrance I was like omg!!
@@MsSimpsonizer143 I would love to see your pictures if you have them! There were only 3 of us that would give presentations on the rock. Myself, Allison and Michelle.
I would say that the problem with heavily themed restaurants is that people tend to only go to them once, so they can only really work in tourist areas since they can't count on having regulars, but maybe that's adult thinking on my part. If I had a Rainforest Cafe near me as a kid, I might well have loved it and lobbied for it every time there was a special occasion.
For my family - and many families I know - it was an issue of expenses. The local Rainforest Café was very expensive to eat at and, according to my parents, didn't even have very good food. They ate there for their anniversary once when I was growing up and came home exclaiming that it wasn't worth the price so we never actually got to eat there as a family. I've only ever been as far as the gift shop.
If the food was more affordable I bet it would’ve been a bit more accessible
If I had a themed restaurant near me I'd go there every chance I got as an adult.
I agree, I saw one when I was in florida I think? It might’ve been somewhere else but I remember the tree frog..
The one at Disneyland has better food than the one at woodfield used to.
The rain forest cafe was a huge part of my childhood. They had one here in dc that we would go to. I wish I could share the experience of walking into the cafe with my 5 year old son
@David Vitrano I’ve always said we need a in and out burger here in dc
There’s still two in Orlando, FL if you truly want to give your son that experience!
There is one in Nashville tn
@@bonesw9502
There’re also the ones I grew up at here in Texas- Galveston and San Antonio Riverwalk. :)
@@bonesw9502
I actually just got back from the one in SA!
Going to the Rainforest Cafe was a must whenever my family and I visited Disneyland in California as a kid. It's had a magical Disney feel to it and I loved all the animals! When they got rid of the one in Downtown Disney it was so sad. I've been to a few others as well. The one in Disneyland Paris always stuck out to me because of the elephant animatronics they had in a large pool area behind the Cafe. I really hope they manage to make a comeback.
I haven't been there since 2008 I liked it and ESPN sportscaster bar world of Lego and the house of blues
Downtown Disney Florida still has ours! Hopefully it stays!
I love Rainforest Cafe so much ever since my first Walt Disney World trip! I loved the animals moving around, the thunderstorm, the animals freaking out, the food, also the gift shop. The volcano erupting was so awesome! I went there to eat at Disney Springs a few months ago, and it was like old times!
Sorry, for the purists it will always be Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island! Never Disney Springs! Lol
I really hope Rainforest Cafe sticks around
There’s one along the river walk in San Antonio, Texas. I’ve walked past it a few times
There's still one at my local mall in California
@@biblegirl Ontario Mills in Ontario, California.
@@oakraidergrl4lif yup
But all the fish and aquariums are gone (cost cutting measure) and half the animatronics don’t work. It’s a shell of its former self
O M G I remember being TERIFFIED of Tracy the tree when I was like five... that tree is scary. For real though I’m lucky enough to have a rainforest cafe that still runs in my local shopping mall Tracy tree and everything, they even still do the sparklers ( most have switched to alternative decor)
Lol I thought I was the only one. Tracy Tree always gave me heebie jeebies
no same I was literally frozen with fear everytime I got near it
She’s incredibly unnerving to look at. They could easily have given her a more pleasant face.
Tracy Tree scared the shit out of me when i was a little kid. 🌳
thank you. you managed to help me find a missing piece of my childhood. i've been able to remember a restaurant/indoor playground i went to for years, remembering that once in a while it would go dark and play storm sounds and loud animals.
did anyone else get this video recommended to them after watching Ted + Eddy's Rainforest Café saga?
Hear ye, hear ye.
I went there twice when I was little. I loved the animatronic animals, but I was absolutely terrified of the thunderstorms that would occasionally go off. I remember a waitress had to sit with me while my dad went off to do something and I spent the entire time covering my ears hshshs
You ok?
Yes, I started crying whenever it happened.
Omg I thought I was the only one, I never ate at the restaurant but I used to love looking at the shopping area and every time the thunderstorms started I had to leave with my hands over my ears crying. I used to have so many nightmares of that place and still to this day it gives me the heeby jeebies
One of my best moments was at Rainforest Cafe honestly. Though she's now my ex, I had taken my girlfriend at the time to Disney Springs; She went on and on about Rainforest Cafe because she had gone to one in a different state when she was younger. I had already made reservations about 2 months in advance, but kept trying to keep it a surprise saying it was too expensive and I didn't have the money, struggling to keep a straight face. She started crying until I got a call that they had an earlier reservation and asked if I'd like to change it. She continued to cry the entire dinner out of happiness instead of sorrow and wrapped her arms around me tightly. $186 for both our meals, desserts, an appetizer and a couple alcoholic drinks each with a souvenir glass for her, but money very well spent.
My girlfriend at the time gave me a hand job during the thunderstorm at the Chicago location. It will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. Also, to this day I want that star ceiling in my house. I don't care who you are, it looks so magical.

I been there several times and theres still one in one of our malls. It was alot of fun but damn 😞
ive been to a bunch of rainforest cafes and i remember my parents wouldnt let me go sometimes because of the loud noises but for me it was a large part of my childhood; it made me less afraid of thunderstorms, it made me enjoy nature, and it made me want to study some of the tropic rainforest life. i would love if rainforest cafe stayed/made a comeback so that more people can experience it and maybe be inspired
I'm hoping one of these days rainforest café will open new stores in the states, I would really love to have one here in Louisville Kentucky
Whenever I make it down to WDW, I make sure to eat at one of the locations there.
We used to have one my family & I would eat at once a month growing up here in New England, but when it closed, the closest one became MUCH longer than 20 minutes away.
Now, it's basically a family tradition to eat at one. Great atmosphere, my dad's a HUGE aquarium hobbyist, and my mom loves the food so much she ends up crying every time.
It's finny how poor quality the animatronics are compared to the ones actually inside the parks, but I still love it ♥
I used to go for my birthday every year when I was little. It was magical! I hope Rainforest Cafe makes it's way back
Went to one of their locations ( I don't remember if it was in New Jersey or Florida), but I still remember being scared of the animatronics. I wish I could've gotten another chance to visit it again, but it doesn't seem likely anytime soon. But nonetheless, it was a vivid memory while it lasts, you know?
Did you go there at sawgrass mill in sunrise, Florida?
Used to love this place man 😔
I just went here for my 15th birthday to the one in Jersey… um… not too good…
@David Vitrano fax would make life so much easier
@David Vitrano having stuff like IN N OUT not be on the other side of the US 😭
@David Vitrano for me the closet IN N OUT is Texas 😭 I live in New York 😭 life would be great if we got one
Rainforest Cafe is like a core childhood memory for me. I'd always beg to go there whenever my family visited Chicago. I distinctly remember the smell of chlorine water from the waterfall and walking through the aquarium overpass. Also the hot fudge volcano sundae with the sparklers on top I'd get when it was my birthday :)
I still have a figurine of Rio the macaw from the gift shop (even though Nile the crocodile was my favorite)
RIP Rainforest Cafe Chicago
I grew up about an hour from Gurnee Mills and remember going to the mall as a kid many times. Back then, it was such a magical place with an animatronic farmer that drove around the ceiling, light-up golf, an exotic pet store, a MASSIVE Outdoor World and, of course, The Rainforest Café. Little me thought Gurnee Mills was the coolest place in the world and I remember asking over and over and over again to go back anytime we took a trip that way, though we never had the money to eat at Rainforest. I moved away in 2010, but went back to visit family right before the pandemic.
Gurnee Mills is a shadow of its former self and I have never felt more heartbroken about a building in my life. Seeing the house I grew-up in after almost ten years didn't even make me as emotional as Gurnee did. The farmer on the ceiling is gone, the exotic pet store is gone, a lot of the mall has been remodeled to a more modern look that just doesn't capture the vibe I remember, there's barely any traffic and the Rainforest Café is just as barren. The animatronics there don't really move anymore. The wishing well Croc doesn't move and is instead made to LOOK like it's moving with flashing lights, the elephants are static, the giant anaconda just twitches and the fish tanks are empty and lifeless save for some still water and dim LED strips. All of the magic that I grew up with died for me that day.
Outdoor world was exactly how I remember it, though, and there's an anime store right next door. The mix of modern American pop-culture and an old, overdressed hunting/fishing store barely twenty feet from one another is jarring.
I'm glad to hear they're making a comeback. The animal kingdom branch (along with trex at Disney springs) was my favorite restaurant as a kid. Ironic part is, I'm a big disnerd and both made an impact on me as the businesses they are, totally separate from the parks, and when i heard i may not be able to go to ANY branch again i was devastated and i hope they can expand to more locations.
I came here from Ted Nivison and Eddy Burback's videos on visiting every Rainforest Cafe in North America. I'm so glad there are people who remember this place.
I love the smell of the rainforest cafe..!!!!
Also I used to be sorta freaked out by the whole place as a kid but once I grew up I asked myself “Why was I scared of it again…!?”
Like.. XD
I definitely have quite a few fond memories of the one in Downtown Disney as well as Disney Springs. Loved the animatronics these days more than when I was a kid. The thunderstorms were definitely super cool and the live fish!
It was ashamed it was too failing.
I grew up loving that place and would get excited every time my family and I drove past one in the summer. We have one that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico with a log ride, and, to my knowledge, the log ride has been indefinitely closed but the restaurant remains. I'm a freelance artist and sketch during my free time, and one of the mascots saw me doing so and made me draw them (the tree frog). I will always remember that moment from my late teens, and I will one day find the picture my family took of me drawing and this giant frog mascot watching me with crossed arms.
There's another nearby that I believe is still open as well, though both are so expensive, it's hard to go to either when I can. I wish to go one day and finally try their alcoholic drinks since the last time I was there, I was underage to drink
I’ve been to one on Galveston island last summer with a log ride! Quite fun lol
I was mesmerized by Rainforest Cafe as a kid but also terrified of the thunderstorms. Eating at the MOA location was considered a real treat in my family!
I've been to Rainforest Cafe at Walt Disney World back in May of 2009! But I didn't like the sound of thunder. It scares me.
I was lucky enough to go to the rainforest cafe a lot in my childhood! In MI they had a mall, so it would usually be a weekend trip with my sisters and mom. Go to the cafe, then see a movie or the other way around. Sometimes we would even go to Gameworks afterwords, which was like hitting the lottery as a kid. I really hope this stay around. I always loved trying to throw pennies into the acrocodiles mouth.
are you talking about the great lakes mall ?
sounds like the one in great lakes crossing, which was my childhood RFC as well!! i was too young for gameworks at the time but i could hang out at RFC and jeepers for hours! i really hope it sticks around too, i think it’d be really funny to go after i turn 21 next year and have some drinks
Still love Rainforest Cafe and have tons of good memories at several locations. It seems like it could be updated drastically given the partnership with Disney, though. They certainly have the means and tech to do so!
I remember going to that cafe with my husband and two daughters. Brings back so many memories. 🥲
use to love going to the one by me in NY as a kid. i love animals so i recall begging my parents to take me there all the time. it closed rather early on since the mall it was in was basically dead, but years later when visiting a friend in AZ their mall had it and was so excited to see a slice of my childhood. we ended up eating there since my friend never saw me that excited for something like that before.
Oh man, I loved the Rainforest Cafe. I always wanted to try the volcano desert but my parents would only do it on a special occasion. So for my 21st family birthday dinner, we finally had it. Problem is, my sibling had problems with a new medicine she had prescribed recently, so there was so many times she nearly passed out straight into the sparklers and chocolate. 😅😂
I remember going here when I was around 6-8 years old. The nostalgia I felt is honestly incredible.
I LOVE Rainforest Cafe! I live near Grapevine, Texas, and I go to Rainforest at Grapevine Mills mall for my birthday every year! Tracy Tree has been my best buddy since I was itty bitty, so I take an annual photo with her each year! Some of the things that made Rainforest what it was have been changed over the years... like the sparklers on the volcano brownies being changed to tinsel on a stick, and the Atlas waterfall being replaced with some less than impressive, clearly cheap tiger animatronics that pale in comparison to the older animatronics surrounding them, but even without the nostalgic smell of mildew from the waterfall, it's still a great place to go and immerse yourself in childlike wonder.
I love rainforest cafe! Every summer it's a tradition of my family to go there for dinner. I've been going there since I was a kid. The food is actually pretty good, though of course standard american fare. Yet the theming of the food adds to its coolness factor
damn i just went to the london one for my birthday and it was pretty amazing to see! definitely one of my favourite places to visit
hello fellow furret!
love how this pops up in my recommended after eddy burback and ted nivison’s road trip
I went to the rainforest café in Niagra Falls for my 10th birthday. I loved this place and thought it and the animatronics were so cool! I had no idea about any of this.
Looking back I now realize that there was a hint that the place wasn't doing the best in plain sight. One of the baby elephants was missing an eye! To my own suprise, I felt kinda bad for it. Hopefully the little fella was fixed.
I still fondly remember that day and I really hope the Café manages to survive.
The Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney in California was my childhood, like I have so many good memories. May it Rest In Peace 🥲 🐸
Anytime I can go to a rainforest cafe, you can BET I’m going. I’m 23 and will never get tired of the over the top theme and that giant brownie
Some of my earliest childhood memories are eating at rainforest cafe at the mall with my family. The food is very average but the experience is soooo nostalgic. I hope the nostalgia is what keeps it around for a bit longer!!
One of my current managers used to work at the downtown disney one, according to him most of his co workers were his family members. Much like that last blockbuster, it was a literal family business to them
Thank you! This really taught me a whole lot.
Ate there when we went to Disney for the first time and fell in love. That was 2003 and to show you how white and Midwestern I am, was the first time I had curry. It was so good. I became obsessed and any time we were in a city with Rainforest Cafe we went. The whole aesthetic is totally my vibe and brings back such nostalgia.
It's a shame the Chicago one closed. That was my favorite besides the one in Animal Kingdom. However, You could definitely tell the quality in food had gone down with a lot of key popular dishes off menu when I went in 2015. I hope with fewer locations and the newfound popularity with the youngins brings it back.
I’ve always looooooved Rain Forest Cafe
Oh man, the memories. Only been there once in my lifetime, but that was good enough.
This was where we went in our local area in between our Disney trips.
This is where we went on our first day arriving at either Disneyland or Disney World.
This is where my kids went as toddlers and into the elementary school years.
Lots of memories here. Food was “decent” but the kids loved it.
Went to one in California recently and let’s just say it’s not the same experience…..
I live in central CA and visiting the Rainforest Cafe in SF will always be one of my favorite memories! Those were the most special days as a kid, having a fun day in the city with an even more exciting dinner
Luckily for me as a Vegas local, we still have one :’) only problem is that it’s one of the crummier ones as they don’t have the space to theme it as well as the other flagship locations.
A friend of mine was a waitress there from 2003 - 2006 and she told me it was fun working there . One time she said Tobey Maguire came in .
I hope Rainforest Cafe will be revived. It's my favorite well-themed restaurant. :)
There were a few of these in Canada including a location at the mall near my house. The animatronics freaked me out and once made my cousin cry. Still got fond memories of it though.
I started crying when I heard tik tok may be bringing rainforest cafe back. I remember only going once in Paris and it was my favorite restaurant and hearing it may come back gave me tears.
Bruh, Rainforest Cafe is the absolute best restaurant. Ever. Period.
When I was a kid, I only went once to eat cause my parents didn’t want to pay the higher food prices but I always dreamed of eating there.
Just before the pandemic, I was studying abroad in Paris and I went to EuroDisney; on my way out, I saw a Rainforest Cafe, my eyes glowed, and I went straight there with my girlfriend at the time to eat and paid with my hard earned money.
Man, for anyone who has nostalgia for this place but never really had money to buy stuff in the store or eat in the restaurant… let me tell you, it just might be my nostalgia but; the smell, the thunder, the fish, the waterfall, the robot animals… it genuinely makes me feel like home. Having money to pay for what you want in Rainforest Cafe is one of the best feelings I’ve had in my life. This place next to IKEA hold a special place in my heart.
There was a Rainforest Café in the main mall in the town where I grew up, and looking back I definitely have a lot of nostalgia for it, but when I was a kid, the animatronics really unsettled me, especially the gorillas and Tracy Tree. They were the only animatronics to ever do so, too--I was never bothered by Chuck E Cheese or any of Disney's animatronics, just the gorillas & Tracy Tree. So Rainforest Cafe's still held in a place of distinction/honor in my mind, haha!
Never been to a Rainforest Cafe, but I definitely remember how cool you were in elementary school if you got to go to one.
I'm pretty sure there is still one in London, and I hope it is, love that place, I go with my mum when we are in London like when I was 9 I went to London to get diagnosed with my autism, so we went there as a treat :)
90’s So Cal kid here. Growing up 30 mins away from Disneyland, big milestones or achievements were often celebrated with dinner at Rainforest Cafe and a trip to Build-a-Bear.
I agree, that after this pandemic, places like Rainforest have a very “take me back” feel to them.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Just went to the Orlando location in animal kingdom today. Still holds a fantastic sense of nostalgia and I believe there’s still a lot of hope. The animatronics are incredible but with technology advancing the way it is we might be able to bring the sense of life the live animals had back. All I know is, I hope one day to take my kids to one of these. They’re fantastic
Aww there’s one that’s still kicking at Opry Mills in Nashville TN!!
Hey Fastpass Facts. I just wanted to wish a happy thanksgiving❤️. My grandfather passed away a few days ago. And I just wanted to say I’m Glad, Grateful, And Thankful too watch your videos. And thank you guys for all the Creepiness🖤.
Sorry to hear that 😞 our best wishes for you and your family! 💖
I used to go in down town Disney when I was little and it was the best!
when they took all the fish out of the one in gurnee mills and turned the tanks into plain water pipes several years ago, my heart sank. RFC was somewhere i always begged my parents to go to as a kid, and while they wouldn't take us often, the times we did go were so magical. i knew that a few locations were still in operation, but knowing that some are still in full force is so beautiful to see!! guess who is totally hitting up some RFC next year! 🤩
I’ll cry if rainforests cafe goes out of business i love it so much
I remember going to one of these about 10 years ago. The food was pretty bad, but the scenery, unique animatronics and gift shop more than made up for it.
When the one opened in Las Vegas, we went and it was a horrible experience. They sat us right outside the bathroom, where people would run right into us, we couldn't see anything about the ambiance or animatronics, we asked for a table actually inside the restaurant, but the manager told us we had to take where he put us or leave. As a taxi driver, I spent every chance I had to tell visitors how terrible that place was.
Hey Fastpass Facts It looks like a great experience💚.
I’ve been to the Rainforest Café many times over the years here in Michigan! The Great Lakes Crossing location was a big part of my childhood 😄 I had also been face-to-face with the T-Rex animatronic at the T-Rex cafe at Disney world in 2009. Many great memories for me, it would be sad to see these themed restaurants go before I could ever get the chance to take my own children to them.
This is my first time hearing about rain forrest cafe!! It’s so 90’s!! very cool!
I remember this restaurant. Hearing it go is truely a great lost
Oh my goodness my childhood- I have a birthday volcano cake in there, I threw coins at the alligator outside, I ALWAYS wanted a monkey and never got one. . . Fucking adored it.
I think rainforest cafe should definitely make a comeback with some new features that will make more people want to come
I'm watching this because of the Eddie and Ted RFC pilgrimage
I remember going to the one in Disneyland with my parents…I was so amazed. I took my son to Disneyland twice and was sad he couldn’t experience that..he would have loved it! I didn’t realize there were other locations still open!
Rainforest Cafe inspired especially one particular restaurant that stood out to me in terms of themed eatertainment. It's called Safari Pizza and it's located in Lazise, Italy right in front of the Movieland theme park. It's probably the closest anyone has ever gotten to the Rainforest Cafe experience without formally being part of that brand. I recommend anyone visiting Italy and going to Movieland to finish off their day over at Safari Pizza. I really love it and believe all Rainforest Cafe fans should gather up there!
I miss this place! I have so many memories because we would always go there when I visited Disneyland as a kid! Thank you for a trip down memory lane!
There’s still one in the gurnee mall by six flags great America. I always love driving there(I’m from Chicago) and it’s always a vibe just walking by
Long live the creative 90s. Rest peacefully 90s.
I remember once going to one, and boy I will forever hold it dear, it was very magical indeed.
I’m glad ted nedvision’s video has started a stream of rainforest cafe vidoes in my feed
I work at the Mall of America, specifically in a store in the theme park. The original Rain forest cafe is right above me and even though they don’t have anything I can really eat there, there’s nothing I love more than the atmosphere. I’m lucky it’s still here, even if it moved floors.
I LOVE Rainforest Café'! Wish I were near one, hope they don't close them all down, ever.
Rainforest Cafe was always a favorite of mine when I was young. We would go to the MOA (Mall of America) and spend time shopping, riding rides at Cap Snoopy (now called Nikolodean Universe), and going to the restaurant. Its been YEARS since I've been to Rainforest afe, but I remember the last time (just now year and age) I went there. In the gift shop, there was a mini 'Build a Bear Workshop' stall where I got a white tiger with a Rainforest Cafe shirt. Would like to go again sometime.
I went there once in the 5th grade when we took a field trip to Chicago it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip and I heard that that specific location closed last year which definitely broke my heart. It's a shame to see such a cool experience go away.
Every single time I go to downtown Disney I always go to rainforest cafe
The rainforest Cafe in mall of America is still there and still has a very long wait. I still see the aminitronics ( I don't know if I spelled that right) in working order. It was my favorite place to go in my childhood.
@Fastpass Facts There's Rainforest Cafe at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
my cousins live by there so i go to that mall quite a lot with them, i've been to the rainforest café a few times there
I loved the hell out of Rainforest Cafe as a kid and I would beg my parents to take me there everytime I went shopping at the mall or at Downtown Disney. Maybe if I get kids of my own, I'll do the same. 🐸🐊🐢🦎🐍🦚🦜🐒🦍🦧🐘🦛🐅🐆🦋🕷🐟🐠🐡🐙🌴🌺
I was so close to crying when I saw the clips from inside the restaurant because me and my family always went there.
:(
A month ago, I went to the last one in illinois (gurnee). I went to the chicago one as a kid and man......it's fallen SUPER hard
I always wanted to go to the Rainforest Cafe when we went to the Mall of America!! But the wait times for seating was alwaaaays a ridiculously long time so we only went a couple times. As cool as it was, too, I got easily overstimulated by the thunderstorms and animatronics... 😅 Still, I have fond memories of it regardless! The original location at the MoA closed some years ago because they moved to the third-floor restaurant wing/"street" of the MoA. It's a little sad the original Rainforest Cafe is kinda sort of gone now. The MoA still has one but it's just not the same thing.
the tree face kills me 💀💀
I miss this restaurant so goddamn much. Always felt so magical dining there
I miss this place so much
"there are only 21 locations left"
Recently it's been whittled down to 18, and this includes the one in Canada. Though I noticed that there are a specific few that do significantly better and are always busy.
I remember there was a rfc in Washington, it closed when I was a kid.
It was so cool to see all of those animatronics. As a tiny tot, I was so curious yet scared to go near them.
This is such a big part of my childhood and i still love it i REALY hope it dosen't go
