I am impressed! "Then We Are Decided" was written for the movie. I have never seen a stage show that used it - until now.
Fascinating. I've never seen this song performed outside of the 1973 movie. The voices are very good, and the scene is well-blocked out. I love the torches.
It sucked that they cut this song out of the 2000 movie of JCS. It's one of my favorites. This is an awesome production
i`ve seen this performance many years in spanish ,but this song always doesn`t appear...and i love it,thanks for sharing!!! gracia spor compartirla
VIUDOJOVEN because it isn't in the original play but added just for the movie. it's funny how these dutch people pronounce English like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
You guys did awesome here, the instrumentals are really kicking.
@vader5001, I disagree. It adds to the plot tremendously. It gives you insight as to why Caiphas wanted Jesus killed. I am glad it was in the film and am happy to see it put into the musical.
Great version. Very nice.
No, this song was in the 1973 film but it's very rarly in any stage productions.
It's great they included this song... I don't understand why they never put it in live productions, it's one of the best songs of ths show. I know this song is not part of the original recording (the same with Could we start again)... anyway, nice video.
Annas with black nails! :D
Metal priest! :D
@henrysvg Yea it doesnt quite fit, because it was put in at a later stage, but what it does is develop the priests characters past evil religious guys who hate jesus, it gives them a motive. I like it for that reason.
Wow! I heard that the movie company has always refused to sell the rights to this song. How on earth did they ever get this song?? It wasn't done too badly, all things said.
Thats the point of his character. Kind of like the little devil that sits on Caiaphas' shoulder.
they didn't cut it, it just never exists in productions. This song was only ever made for the movie, it was never intended on stage. The 2000 recording is based on the stage production hence why it's not in it. But I agree, I do like this song!
Russian S-Peterburg's production is didn't cut this song. Do you want listen russian version? In our country this opera have 5 versions with different translations
PS: Sorry for broken English. I'm 16-years old Russian)))
WRONG!! the original play didn't include this song. I was specially composed for the film
The first time this song was in JCS was in the film though, I'm not saying the film was first.
What is with the "mustache twisting" villainy?
easy man, the comment was not intended for you, you tube just placed the comment below yours
Overall a good production...but i have to say it does sound like Arnold S. is singing the role of Caiphas.
...that's what I said.
Because it's not in the origional music.
It'd be a whole separate thing for the rights.
too much time. =/
