    Amazing job!! I was between 50 and 70% but I’ll stick to 70 just enough protection from the sun and glare as I have trouble seeing at night as it is, and I really don’t want a reason to be pulled over! I wanted the 50 just for a tad bit more protection for my dashboard and screen but I can always add a visor for that!!

    Good video. I can back the choice of film for the windshield. Had my coupe tinted; 35% back and sides, 20% sunroof, and 70% windshield. I used a ceramic/carbon film. Awesome performance! Yes, I could have gone darker. I wanted to stay legal for the most part, but also I wanted to be able to see at night. 70% on the windshield isn't noticable unless you know what to look for. Also the darker the other tint is, the more likely you are to atrack the wrong attention. My car is much more comfortable and less eye strain with headlights with the windshield tinted. 70% does make a noticeable difference. Heat rejection is obvious when you compare too. Again, good video. To others, buy the best tint you can, you will be glad you did. 70% on the windshield is legal, but only in 2 states. Mine is not one of them.

      Ken Bullard That's awesome to hear REAL reviews so it doesn't seem like us shops are just trying to sell things to customers. I hope that people enjoy the services I offer. It's not legal here but like I said most can probably get away with 70%.Thanks for the comment

    Can't have tint on any front door here in NY. A passenger car can only have the rear windshield tinted. An SUV can have rear windshield and rear doors only. Somehow they passed this law saying that it had to do with safety for the cop, but I think you can fit a whole lot more people and weapons in the back of a Yukon than you can a Civic. If it's about safety, then no vehicle should have any tint.

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  Před 4 lety +3

      Awesome question, but honestly it's a personal preference. Some learn that way and that's what they known. Some feel it's better to get the film down below the seals. Some just pull seals and leave the rest of the panel on. It's just what you know and have done or what works best for you. Some will say there's less of a chance to mess up the film during install with things out of the way and removed. I prefer to leave panels on and two stage... I don't have any issues with film peeling. A lot of my customers actually don't want me to remove panels and risk breaking parts or the door not going back correctly. So I two stage top first then lay the bottom. More videos coming thanks.

      If you watch my videos I always shrink everything. Just helps to give them film some tension. Just my personal preference.

    Bro on the sides is this legal 20 % ?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  Před 2 lety

      20 isn't legal in Wisconsin. The fronts are only allowed to be 50 but most do 20 to match the rear. I have videos about this. Thanks

    What are your thoughts on 3M obsidian film compared to a ceramic film?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  Před 3 lety

      I can't say, never touched 3M film since I've been installing.

    What's the key to a clean reverse roll on the windshield do you clean both sides of the tint first...???

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  Před 5 lety

      Check out the Reverse Roll video. After I shrink the film, I spray the film and squeegie it off and wipe down the glass before I lift the liner. Try to spray the liner quick so that nothing hopefully drops onto the film. When you install just take your time and unroll onto the glass. Maybe also flush the edges of the sides of the back glass before you start to unroll.
