Installation of 65 Percent Windshield Tint
This is a install of 65% Ceramic windshield tint on a Chevy Suburban. I think that 65 percent can be used on so many applications from all full windshields, to sunroofs, and over the rear privacy glass on most minivans and SUVs. This 65 percent ceramic will block out a good amount of heat keeping your vehicle cooler and most won't even know it's there. Perfect for cutting some glare on the windshield and blocking out more UV rays as well.
This video also shows you the steps any window tint installer would possibly use to get the Tint on your vehicle. There are many different methods tinters use but this is what I found works best for me.

Can you tell me what easle you’re using with your peel board? Also is that plexiglass or actual glass? I’m mobile and an RVer so I’m using plexiglass. I’ll just replace it as need be.
Did you have to shrink it? Im learning how to do brows, and was wondering if maybe that part wasnt shown.
I can tell a difference with (and prefer) 70 on the windshield of a sedan, hatch, or coupe. I'd go 50 on a boxy SUV or truck with a more upright windshield.
Great video. I just got my sides and rear at 15% and was going to go back and get 32%. But I live in Ga and take a lot of back roads. I was thinking of 40% but I think I’m good with 50!

I use various brands. I'm not brand crazy. Solar FX, Tint Club, Llumar and Flex Film are the mains.

I have my honda currently 20% all around with 70% on the windshield. Thinking about going 50/55% on the windshield but was wondering if pedestrians and other drivers will see me waving them over at a stop sign or something. 70% they can clearly see me but i wonder if theyll be able to with 50%
Well, they’re always are variables and interior, color, angles, etc. but with 50% it is harder to see in the vehicle. Definitely a lot harder to see in compared to the 70.
They gonna get you regardless. 65% still illegal and a waste of money.
It’s one of my best selling products with really good heat blockage. My customers love it. I have it on my car too. Speeding is also illegal and most do it. We all have opinions. Thank for watching.

Great video, thank you! Question: if the car is out in the heat for long enough - let’s say a whole day out in the open parking lot in summer Arizona - would ceramic still make a difference?
If it's out in the heat the car will get hot inside from being closed up and in direct sunlight. The tint will help keep the UV rays from blasting the interior. Once the heat is out of the car the ceramic will stop a lot of heat from entering the vehicle at that point.

You are probably not shrinking enough I’m guessing

I wouldn’t take that chance. I usually put it up to a wall or something solid when I can.

In Louisiana it’s 40% on front on all vehicles, trucks and SUVs can be as dark as you want on the back doors and back windows. I think cars is 40 on the front and 20 on back. Most cops won’t mess with you in my area unless your windshield is blacked out

so no shrinking with the heat gun? did you trim your corners better once you removed from the window or was that the only cut you did?
You don’t have to shrink but it wouldn’t hurt. Just do it like a camper window. Once you install trim if needed. All of these aren’t exactly the same so adjust.

So if you had a sunroof you would need to put ceramic tint on it as well?... since the sun would be reflecting up there, even with the shade cover right...

Will the 70% windshield tint help with glare from the sun and headlights?
It’s not going to do a lot of glare reduction passing 70% of light through. It definitely does some. I started carrying 65% which has a little more color to it and I feel it will do a better job. You can see comparisons in my videos.
How does this differ than the spray method? Is one easier than the other? I have a large rear decal for the rear side of a Tacoma.. thank u
I don't have any ideal what the Spray Method is. I've been doing this for years and it works and I don't change the process.

I use various brands from Solar FX, Tint Club and more. Don't get caught up in brands just use a film of good quality and your all good.

Hey do/can you tint panoramic sunroof? And what % do you recommend?
czcams.com/users/shortsFKG0b4s7IwQ I don't really have a certain % I suggest I honestly think it's just best to cut out the heat with Ceramic no matter what shade you use. I used pretty much all shades and even the 65% makes a difference.
I have a Camry and 20% all around except windshield but rear window seems way lighter in the day/ night compared to the rest. Is that normal or no? Tints were installed 3 yrs ago
So you have tint on the "Sides and Rear." The rear glass will look lighter depending on how you look through the vehicle. Looking through it might only be the rear glass, looking at the side of the car you look through two windows so that will look darker.
