Wow, I just got 5 percent all around on my vehicle. I was wanting to tint the windshield, but didn't want all the attention that gets from law enforcement. The 70 percent ceramic is definitely the way to go for that! I can't believe that the 5 percent did so poorly in that test, I feel like it's much cooler with the 5 percent versus nothing, but it almost seems like that does little to nothing with that test you did! Thanks for the great video!

    • @FadeToBlackLLC

Amazing! It's like viewing HDR in your car. You would probably need to go darker than 70 on the windshield if you are sensitive to bright lights coming at you. Thats a good selling pitch " when we are young we want Darker tint" in reality 3m tint has different % of shade but all have the same quality of protection. I have 3m tint on all my windows. I have 70% on wield shield 50% on side doors ( driver and passenger) then 20% for my 4 back windows. Its literally light and day in the summer keeping out heat and keeping warm in winter. The front window for 3m for front wield shield is $300 to $500 just for that window fyi. But its worth it because that's where most sun hits. His a good sales person tho. I would said it differently as a sales person myself, I would have said "being younger we just want tinted windows for show but not for quality but the 3m isn't just tint but a item that will improve your vehicle in the summer from the heat staying cool and staying warm in winter". Then break it down further. Because regular tint is useless in my opinion it only provides shade but no heat reduction but 3m provides all around protection with all shades.

I don't post or talk prices, they are different all over the country based on the market and brands used. Call around to the local shops and ask for the popular install prices and that will help you know what to charge. Stay close to them and don't undercut. You loose money and it also brings down the market prices.

I pointed it at the object as if the sun was passing through a window and landing on it. As in your skin or the dash board and heating it up. The Ceramic tint is going to block out heat and less will enter the vehicle that's why I measured after the tint not ON the tint. If that makes sense?

I put 40 percent ceramic on my front windshield and it bothered my eyes, it seemed more blurry at night maybe the tint was too dark? At night I would get headaches. Maybe I should go with a lighter film.... any recommendations?

Well that's hard to say. I hope the tint is fully dried out? For me it just a little dark like I mentioned in my 40% Video. Not blurry, so I'm not sure what's going on with that??? I hope something can be worked out.

@@FadeToBlackLLC It was the headlights from other cars that was blurry maybe go with a different brand perhaps

@@givemecash9404 usually tint helps to reduce the bright heaqdlight glare but like I said man I'm not sure.
You could try another line of film? I've never had that issue at all.

They need to make a 60% tint

When they make so many shades I think it confuses people. Not sure if you saw my video but I have the basics. 50% serves most and the 70% is a good heat blocker and it actually cuts back some light then the 40 is so close to 35 it gets a little dark (another video I have) in my opinion.

Thanks for the video! I have 5% on my 2018 accord! Will the 70% make it look darker because I had 70% on the front ?

It will make it look a little dark wrap. It'd more for heat and some glare reduction at night.

Oh man you said Tints, that's like scratching a chalkboard 🤣🤣🤣
We don't have Inspection stickers in Wisconsin if you look any of my Windshield videos they don't have them.
I've heard of people laminating them and sticking them to the tint but I'm not sure.
