I attended this show with my then girlfriend (now wife). This was one of the first shows ever at the Staples Center and Bruce opened the venue a few nights before this show. We didn't have tickets as these opening shows had been sold out. Sometimes the venue releases tickets on the day of a show so we made our way to downtown L.A. that Autumn Saturday afternoon, then over to the ticket office a few hours before the gig and inquired if any tickets were available. Much to our surprise seats at the rear of the floor were available and we snapped them up. I was seriously jonesing to hear this song and was blown away when Bruce walked up to the mic and softly said, "this one is a request," and Bruce and the band began playing the first notes of 'Incident.' 'For You' followed, two treasured early Springsteen songs from his first two albums. I'll never forget that night. Thanks for posting these, You Rock Connor! Bruce is The Boss, but you da' Man!

I've seen Bruce and The E Street Band 20 times, since my first show in 1980, Halloween night in the Los Angeles Sports Arena. I was 13. My brother who was 18 took me. Both our first major show. How cool an older brother was that? I say was, lol, he's not that cool anymore. Still love him, that's my big brother, but time and money (ain't it always!?)has changed everything.
Anyway, in the twenty shows, I've never seen them do this, one of my favorites!
I've been to some heavy shows too. Christic Benefit at the Shrine in L.A. in 1990. A two night special gig that he headlined. All acoustic, with Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt opening both nights. A real fucking cool show. I went to both.
I caught the Amnesty International Benefit in 1988 at the L.A. Coliseum with Sting and Peter Gabriel opening. Another one off super special cool show.
Sting and Gabriel were on their game. I didn't see how Bruce could top them. His music and style seemed almost tame in comparison. Gabriel with his world music explorations and his theatricality. He was on his own shit. Lol Sting was on his first solo jaunt away from The Police. He was in the hired gun jazz club mode. But man he killed it.
But Bruce came out almost midnight (if I remember right) and made it known why he's The Boss.
I've always seemed to hear songs I was hoping for. Adam Raised A Cain, Streets of Fire, Kitty's Back, Meeting Across The River, Lost in the Flood. Some deeper more obscure cuts.
    But never Incident yet.
I pray when they come back, post bullshit pandemic.

I've been to 64 shows and never experienced a full band version of Incident. Heck, he didn't play it from December 29,1980 at the Nassau Coliseum until September 25, 1999 in Philadelphia. (This is the second performance in 19 years.)

@@CPSJSMSUUMUGA I've been to twelve shows since September, 1999 when I was all of 17 years old...24 years later, I'm 40 and still waiting desperately to hear this one. I have seen some rarities (Kitty's Back, For You, The Price You Pay, Drive All Night...at the BEST concert I have ever seen in my life, St. Louis, 2008, he did his covers of Then (S)he Kissed Me and Mountain of Love for the first time since 1975!) but this one is my Springsteen concert Holy Grail. I missed Incident by one damn show on The Rising Tour in 2002 when he played it in Kansas City before playing St. Louis the next night. That STILL frustrates me.
I got tickets for shows number thirteen and fourteen in August at Wrigley Field in Chicago...if Bruce pulls out Incident at my favorite place in the world, in the city of my birth, I wouldn't be surprised if I actually wept...hell, I wouldn't be surprised if I spontaneously combusted from shock...
