Thank you so much for being so honest about which ones are the best right now. It is very useful to me.
The only real comparison on CZcams that's worth watching. Thank you
Magic v2 is great because of the design!
The best and only comparison based on genuine experience. Thank you
Nice review love it and thank you I sub

Nice review.
Subcribed! Nice head to head, going for the 1+ Open
Did you buy it? If so how is it?
The most important category, is availability. Been waiting for a ROW release for the V2 since July, they had such a big head start but squandered it, had that IFA show in September where they STILL didn't give us a release date. Inexplicable market strategy. In the meantime OnePlus became available weeks after the debut in October. I ended up buying the OnePlus open, by the time the V2 is released outside of China, it will have been half a cycle old. The Oneplus is the superior phone anyway but it wouldn't have mattered, it's the only one available to me.
It's out today. But agreed. They've already released the V2S in China.
Agreed OnePlus Open is better too. That slimness on the Magic V2 is great though but the excessively late release is going to hurt sales. It's Samsung who should be most embarrassed. I've never liked the Fold design, it's terrible. I suspect, hope the Fold 6 gets a major redesign. Frustrating they're all so prohibitively expensive though.
Cool review, helped a lot, I don't think you blinked once through the whole thing 😂
I want a baby between the two, flat sides like the oneplus but slim like the honor and definitely oxygenOs
Why flat sides, it looks slimmer and like a regular phone, not a brick if the sides aren't flat.
@@alenkamekis4781easier to hold for longer when the sides are flat
Magic v2. I have had all the folds and the Honor is quite a lot better. It's so light the crease in the honor is less visible
Im worried about customer support with OnePlus, but with Honor ? Damn, im 2x more worried
Where'd u get the magic v2? I want to buy one not sure where tho
Wonda mobile
It releases globaly in Q1 of 2024. Its atm only available to reviewers and in china untill then from what ive found
AliExpress
Link to buy OnePlus Open is missing
Thanks the heads up! Fixed!
would be nice if one plus open can be acquired globally.
You should test the Huawei Mate X5
Trash phone , huge crease and no Google services
Same as honot without esim... I got honor magic vs
I kinda hate the 178° opening of the Fold... If its a foldable, it should fold up completly...
You forgot to mention that both V2 screens are pencil compatible. You can buy a pencil for the V2 and it will work on both screens which is better than the S-Pen for Samsung’s Fold5 which only works on the inside screen. Because of this, V2 wins the screen category. As far as cameras are concerned, for daytime photo, the V2 is better, for nighttime, the Open is better. You decide in which conditions you take most photos. For me it’s daytime and the V2 wins.
The open also support s pen on both screen and photos wise there not even a comparison open take better pictures and this is coming from a open user
You sure the Honor doesn't have the icon bar on the bottom?
Yes
What about the speakers? How do they compare?
the speakers are so much better on oneplus. I havent used the honor, but i did have the fold 4, and between the two theres no competition. Oneplus sounds so much better, and even has immersive audio on the speakers which sounds so so good!
I just tested both the Oneplus Open and Fold4 speakers and sorry but Fold4 is noticeably better. It has more depth and richness in sound and while the Oneplus is also good it sounds more tinny in comparison. But for most other features outside of the software and low light camera performance, the Oneplus is just the better product
But the honor doesn't have Google Play store and apps?
The global version of the Honor does.
@@techbandicoot will the global version work on any USA mobile carriers?
Totally diagree with you ref camera performance. In the time (2 weeks) I used the cameras on my OnePlusOpen it was so hit and miss as to the quality. Invariably the focus was wrong and image quality whilst good, the Honor V2 got it right every time. The OPO went back....
My open never missed even on default settings
I feel this comparison is not fair, you cannot ignore magic screen extra size when opened and without opening!
I already sensed the bias at the beginning of the video.
The OnePlus has better software. Something people tend to overlook. Better camera too.
Can’t wait to see the next versions of both of these. Both are a no buy for me since they lack wireless charging. I really hope Google comes out the gate swinging with their Pixel fold 2.
Why is wireless charging so important?
Lots of people use it exclusively. I only use wireless charging at home
@@techbandicoot I get that but to make it a "no buy" because of it seems a bit extreme. I've used it. It's ok but I have no problem using a cable. Maybe I'm just old school 🤣
It's strange cause what powers the wireless charging dock a cable right? So why not just plug it into the phone instead!
@@Nxmzbnsv donald_trump_wrong.gif
It's frustrating they're all so prohibitively expensive though. They need to be a similar price, bit more eure, to the Galaxy S Ultra before people will start buying them.
It is now, same price as galaxy ultra. Check their prices
and the fold has wireless charger and reverse wireless charging
The difference in the areas the oneplus won were tiny, as he himself said. Whereas, being thinner and more pocketable is HUGE and makes all of the difference whether or not it is annoying in your pocket every day or not. Therefore in my opinion Honor Magic V2 is a clear winner. This reviewer seems to have predecided that OnePlus Open is the best, he seems biased in favor of it.
Honor has overclocked 8 gen 2 while oneplus has normal 8 gen 2
Nope u can over clock the open also it's in the settings
@@yaboinellz0804what's the setting called? Due to get mine tomorrow but cannot see anyone online mentioning about being able to overclock it

No reviews are real anymore all about who sponsors them
That’s not true. Regardless, no one has sponsored these reviews. I would love sponsors, then I’d actually make some money!
You didn't compare the crease, that's one of the most important things about foldable phones!
Meh the crease is barely noticeable on both
I don't care how much it costs, as long as there's no fucking crease in between.
I am so used to watching videos with numbers/ stats shown. It would be nice if you can take you video editing skills further and show the numbers on the screen.
Aussie
No the oppo n3 is better than its sister OnePlus open guess the OnePlus is the b grade phone but still great for normal consumers
Sorry but the OnePlus Open is far from a b grade phone, and frankly it’s better than the Oppo for the software alone.
@techtobeat it's same software even if the name is different
so the one plus open is better then the galaxy fold 5 um no don't get e wrong the one plus open is amazing but it only advantages it has over the fold 5 is faster charging and the front screen is bigger thats all. just cause it has a bigger front screen doesn't make it better the fold 5 has better camera, better software, better ui and a better ip rating. why is it that whenever a new phone comes out here people come saying oh it's better then samsung. the one plus open brightness at 2800 nits is not as bright as it should be thr fold 5 looks brighter and that has 1750 nits
Thinner, better screen(s), no noticeable crease, better battery life, the cameras are indeed better (not talking about preferences like color balance but objective facts), SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper price spec for spec, SIGNIFICANTLY faster charging, overall better form factor, better speakers, multitasking isn't as extensive as Samsung because they have Dex but it's more thought out.
Stop kidding
Gotta disagree with you there, the camera is much better on the Open, and I much prefer the UI on the Open to One UI. And also sorry but no, the screen looks brighter on the Open for sure.
I think if you have a chance to have both phone and use them to can make a real comparison,,
The fold 5 front screen aspect ratio just makes it USELESS. IYKYK. the main display has a valley down the middle and is much lower resolution. It is also a brick in terms of thickness, charges at like 20W lmao. Basically the fold 5 is old gen and is skimping out on so much but yeah, the Oneplus's "only advantage is faster charging"
Fold 5 with a better camera? Dude, the camera didnt change since fold 3 lol
If magic v2 have Taskbar that will be best
Magic v2 should clearly be the winner when it comes to battery. And even though OnePlus has a better camera (power-wise), that big bulk of a camera instantly becomes the deal-breaker for me. It just made the phone look ugly. So IMO, Magic v2 is still the better phone.
Too bad you don't know your files a little better... The V2 offers a remarkable screen configuration at night, with a high refresh rate to take care of the eyes and limit eyestrain. No other foldable offers this.
They all do it call night mode on some phone where it dim the light and add a blue filter to limit eye strain
@@dandre832 Of course not! It's not the same thing. This has been amply explained by other testers.
@@elpabarnot really finding anything regarding configuration for night time ! Send the link of the video
Is 3840 hz pwm dimming. Only honor is offering at high refresh rate to taking care of the eyes
I have tried 5 different fold/flip/razr+ phones... and I am done with them. Until they are the same thickness and weight, they are not worth the trouble...
I think the ones you tried were not flagship devices by your description,, as the best ones are expensive
@@Addingtothekingdom fold 4 and flip 4 not flagship? WTF?
What were the problems you faced??
@@adityajain3697 all the folds are hard to hold open... not everyone sits at a desk. Also even the razr+ outside screen is to small for most things, so always had to open it....and all had crappy cameras...
@@rez157no they're not unfortunately. They're only flagship in price when compared to other foldable phones.
I DON´T RECOMEND ONEPLUS OPEN. IF YOU HAVE A TROUBLE THE AFTER SALE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE....!!!
Your review is incomplete, which makes it unhelpful.
Your comment is oncomplete too, which makes it unhelpful
I strongly disagree with battery life being a tie, and the display being a tie. You are clearly wrong about these two areas because it is a fact not an opinion the Honor Magic v2 wins in both battery life and display. Even if you win by a inch or a cm a win is a win. Honor Magic V2 is the better phone
Even if he have the point for the screen it would be a tie and no lie about battery my phone pretty much last all day with about 15 percent left before i put it on the charger
very true
Average phone. Run with snap dragon gen 2. Software is below average
Show me gen 3 phone that came in 2023. And tell me what's "average" of software, lol
NO, they are not. Galaxy Z Fold5 is!
Software-wise, I would agree. But physical appearance, nah
Oneplus for me. Much better design and screen. Easy
