“Or do only Barnabas and I not have a right to refrain from working? Who at any time serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat the fruit of it? Or who tends a flock and does not use the milk of the flock? I am not speaking these things according to human judgment, am I? Or does not the Law also say these things? For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.” God is not concerned about oxen, is He? Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing the crops. If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you? If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ. Do you not know that those who perform sacred services eat the food of the temple, and those who attend regularly to the altar have their share from the altar? So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel. But I have used none of these things. And I am not writing these things so that it will be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than have any man make my boast an empty one.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬-‭15‬ ‭
Your point is bad and unbiblical. If a minister want to work and Shepard the flock he has the ability to do so then he does well but the Lord directed that those who proclaim the gospel make there living from the gospel. It says it word for word

I appreciate your comment. I’d recommend you listen to part two where I deal with this passage as well as living of the gospel. In short, while the passage is very germane to the topic, your interpretation and extrapolation from it align more with Roman Catholicism covetousness than First Century Christianity.

@@firstcenturychristianity6864 you seem to be very pompous once it comes to first century Christianity, your arrogance is simply astounding. To simply act like your opinion is right because you think you know more is prideful. The New Testament is firstly century data on Christianity. It’s not a matter of interpretation but Paul literally word for word says says the Lord gave them a right to earn a living off of the gospel without working. There is no other interpretation and they can be applied to modern context. I’ve read nearly all ant-nicean Christian’s and they aren’t “Roman Catholic” but they definitely aren’t Protestant either. They take some aspects from both. They most definitely affirm a real physical presence of Christ in the Eucharist as well as baptismal regeneration. Anyways please don’t be so pompous thinking you know everything when you don’t. There is literally almost no evidence against this except maybe the didache but it specifically names apostles and prophets, outside of the New Testament there is little to no data on this matter and the info in the New Testament overall is against your bad interpretation.
