I Wrap the threads of Gulp jars with Teflon plumbing tape to keep them from leaking. Didn't ever think I'd have to pack plumbing supplies in my tackle bag.
My dad used to store screws and nails in glass baby food jars (this was many years ago). I use peanut butter jars and glass jelly jars in my woodshop to store a lot different items.
I got have not seen you for a while, do you still have boats up north,,, I hope you're enjoying yourself looks like you're in South Florida,ps stay safe Marty enjoy your show
As for storage of Gulps, put a piece of plastic wrap under your Gulp cap, between the lid and the opening, if it leaks. It will stop the leaking. However, that's no good for carrying it around, because you need to keep opening it; but great for storage purposes.
So I'm looking for some more info on that kayak, but I live in California. It seems like something I would be interested in I live by the delta . I was wondering how much they weigh, and how much weight they support, what size they are?
I always enjoy a tip where containers for consumed products can be re-used/re-purposed! On Sheepshead, what bait and tackle do you find most successful? I am hoping to catch some soon in Tarpon Springs area.
Big fan of gulp. Not a big fan of the containers as they leak. Smells rotten. Did the same by using leak proof containers. Soaked most of my soft plastics in gulp and have incredible results! Great vid, thanks Marty!
Hey Marty I'm a little surprised you didn't try using the pickled herring for bait would make a great video and let's face it a fish will bite slim jims and marshmallows there's gotta be fish out there that like pickled herring I might try it myself
It’s 2024 and gulp jars still leak…? They used to leak 15 years ago, the last time I bought them and Berkeley still hasn’t fixed that. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Looks like those dogs wanted to eat some😂
Hey Marty: This month in an unusual Amazon order, I received my GULP! earthworms. They come in a glass jar. The liquid was all gone (worms still slightly wet) and the paper seal under the lid wasn't perfectly sealed. Who knows where it all went or maybe it just evaporated from old age. Won't be buying liquid fishing products from Amazon again.
I'd guess the gulp container is shaped like that so it doesn't tip over easily on a moving boat, or anything else. Maybe also so the baits don't bend up. But yeah, it's not necessary to bring so many with you.
Dang-it, I thought you were going to see if the herring juice was good, cheap fish scent. Guess thats something I can experiment with. Or, you could do a video. Anyway, thanks Marty.
Good morning to you buddy. So amazed the we both like the herrings in whine sauce. 😂 One day when I get down there I’d like to go out on the water with you and try out you motorized kayak. Maine Man. 🎣🏔🌊
Uhhh...dont buy that product and move on with life.....GULP! great idea JOE!...thats me....Joe..talking in second person or..3rd. i dunno.... i gotta go
All berkley is good for is ripping off other company's designs to make a very similar product for a cheaper price. I don't and will not buy support or promote anything Berkley! I know it's a hard industry these days to do something "unique " or "different " but other companies are still managing to do it so why cant Berkley?? Just because they have more money behind them they think it's ok to do what they are doing. Nothing against anyone that still likes Berkley to each to there own! But they will never have my support again!

Nice one Marty. Good to see the Pups looking well too. Thanks for the tip! Stay safe & well over there. 🎣🎣👍👍
Loved this video, messy Marty, that doesn't happen often,
I loved the extras in your video, still smiling
Thanks so much for sharing 😂
Great tip Marty
Marty's getting back into the swing of things again! Woohoo!
Keep it up man! 🎥 always appreciate your vids! Great info 👍 and awesome editing
You are on to something. Gulp containers leak and stink. Keep up the good work.
Great tip Sir!😎👍
Brilliant....wish I would have thought about that, thanks, Happy Mardi Gras from New Orleans.
Another awesome idea from Marty.
Great to see you. looking forward to your next video .
Thank you 👍🏼
Marty, you are awesome when you explain things. You are funny plus a great personality. So cool keep it up. John
Good idea. I just saw a video that a state is talking about stopping any plastic baits
So obvious, why didn't I think of that? Genius!
I did the same thing. The bottle is also convenient because it fits right into the cup holder of your boat or kayak
On the Gulp containers, just cut a small X in the factory seal under lid. It helps a bit instead of a big cut or removal.
Nice looking white shepherd, i’ve have one for a couple years now they have quite the personalities
I always save the Talenti gelato jars for cut bait and gulps, keeps em fresh...keep your gulps in the fridge too theyll stay fresher, peace Marty!!
It also looks like you have a nifty Scotty anchor mount on that boat too!
Yup been doing that with Jiffy jars
I've been using small waterproof Plano ProLatch storage trays for years. I like your jar better because the factor looks better. And it is cheaper.
Hi Marty, I haven’t seen your show in a while, nice to see you again.
First again! So happy to a video from you pop up Marty!

I Like It!
Good tip, have a great day
Great vid marty, makes me want to do a run to houston and fish on :shaka:
I have been using gulps for 20 years. Great bait, but the bags do not seal. This is a great tip.
Big fan of gulp. Not a big fan of the containers as they leak. Smells rotten. Did the same by using leak proof containers. Soaked most of my soft plastics in gulp and have incredible results! Great vid, thanks Marty!
The sticker makes it official. Welcome back!

Hello Marty, great video as always . Kraft miracle whip jars and lids work great too. Thanks for the video. 73 Earnest K5EWM.
You can also buy bottles of the gulp “booster” which you can use to top off your jars
the flat bottom container design is to keep it from dumping over on the boat.
Well damn how come I never thought of this 🤔 old gulp bags drying up and leaking 😂

I thought you was going to say that is the same juice lol, great idea though!
Like witnessing a live mind at work.
Would be curious to see if the baits get "misshapen" after awhile and dont swim straight.

Why not decant everything in the leaky "jar" to your large herring jar?
Dang-it, I thought you were going to see if the herring juice was good, cheap fish scent. Guess thats something I can experiment with. Or, you could do a video. Anyway, thanks Marty.
being of Polish descent, pickled is better, traditional on NYE.....
Good morning to you buddy.

Maine Man. 🎣🏔🌊
You are so smart.!
(Not smart enough to lay down a towel first)
Oh well, no one is perfect, right.
"Ain't got no time fa dat.!"
I imagine the awkward shape is so all baits are constantly submerged in juices using the least amount of juice
Thought you created Gulp juice😂
Uhhh...dont buy that product and move on with life.....GULP! great idea JOE!...thats me....Joe..talking in second person or..3rd. i dunno.... i gotta go
🤦🏼
I can't believe you eat that. Gross!
Nothing new. Been using small jars like that for years to store/transport my GULP.

You go to all of the trouble of making a video about leaking Gulp containers, yet you keep spilling it over and over on your tailgate??? Hmmm
I use plastic P-Nut jars for various fishing tasks.
lmfao...
