Driver Ignores Train Signal Light!

- These signal lights should not be ignored. They indicate that a train is approaching and that the barriers will close any moment. Despite this, many drivers ignored the signal and continued across the railway tracks without any hindrance. Unfortunately, this was not the case for the incoming gray car, which got trapped.

I would never ignore a crossing light for a train because there hasn't even been a vehiclequal that ever survived a crash with a train, not even an 18 Wheeler.
À friend of mine, my 7-year-old twins and I were leaving a parking lot on foot. The barrier was up and my children were about to walk on the driveway when I told them never to walk near a barrier, but come back to the pavement. My friend told me to stop mollycoddling them and stepped on the street. The barrier went down and hit her square on the head. I don’t know what hurt more, her head or her pride. Anyway, thank her for illustrating mummy’s wise advice.

I saw a film from decades ago that showed a woman who ignored the signals and was hit and killed by the train. The moral of the story is never to ignore the train signals.
Never pull forward until the red lights stop flashing, even if some idiot behind you starts honking.
My coworker was killed because he did this. He couldn't wait for 5 minutes till the train would pass, and lost his life
In the Netherlands, most railroad crossings are equipped with cameras when crossing with flashing lights, the fine of 300 euros can be sent to the home address without warning. Until recently, fines were only sent at rail crossings where things went wrong or almost wrong.

These signal light should be better timed so people don't have to ignore them.
People seem to want to learn the HARD way.
Barrier should go down 5 seconds after flashing like a stop light. So long encourages it.

Thar was instant realisation from that one car that they wait for train, but was within pole distance and they got slight bonk on roof.

Lesson in physics, two ton car versus several thousand ton train. Train will win, car will be pile of shredded metal, with small chunks of flesh scattered through out it. Train will have some scratched paint.
