- Fire Truck & Ambulance On Emergency Call Wait For A Big Street Running Train! Fed Ex Van Making Delivery Has To Move For A CSX Street Running Train. 2 Trains Pass At The Railroad Yard At The North End Of The Street Running Track. Update On The Court House & I Explain The Speed Limits For The Trains In LaGrange, Kentucky. The Fire Truck & Ambulance Have To Wait For The 2nd Train.
This video shows an awesome town that has a railroad main line running right down the middle of Main Street. There are at least 4 Airbnbs on Main Street and I stayed in one for a weekend. I will do more videos on them in the future. On the day that I was in LaGrange the railroad was busy. This video shows two trains that passed at the yard on the north end of town. The first train is a northbound intermodal train running from Louisville, Kentucky to Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati, Ohio. This train showed up at 11:42am and had to take the siding to wait for a southbound auto racks train to pass.
The southbound train showed up at 12:15pm. Just after the locomotives crossed the railroad crossing at the heart of town a fire truck and ambulance showed up and got to wait for the train while on an emergency call. You can listen to the fire calls on 154.205 and the main railroad frequency is 161.370 with the EOT being 452.9375. When this train first showed up there was a Fed Ex truck sitting on the track making a delivery. The driver noticed the train approaching and got his truck out of the way. Notice a few other cars driving through also.
Right after the train passes we see the emergency vehicles continue on their call. After we see the court house the fire truck is seen returning to the station non 27. I forgot to add the Live Action Pets this time but we do have a special slide show outro so don't miss that! I did manage to get a couple more trains and there will be another video out soon.

Morning Jaw in La Grange Ky. Street running trains are amazing, especially on a busy street like this. I think I was born on the wrong side of the tracks, but here I wouldn't know which side that is. LOL
Good morning and thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth i count the train there is about 119 if you know why I did that math in my calculator reply back if you have any questions
@@KevinLyons-gn7eu Sounds good to me. That is a lot. Thanks for watching and counting
Fire truck got stuck well shit
Street running trains are my favorite.
Thanks for watching 😊
Awesome morning video Lagrange awesome thanks Brian and Scott
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, wonderful to see Street running trains. Like how you folks are just going about your daily business as the train rollls through.
Thanks for watching!
My favorite. LaGrange street running.
1:44 JT, you're a far more patient man than I. I would have had a few choice words for this "gent".
No worries. That's his friend, Scott. (Gambit)
An assorted road way. For automotive and railroad use. Amazing to watch. Thank you, Brian! 🚆🚘🙂👍🇺🇸
Wow! Excellent catching 2 trains and both firetruck and an ambulance, I like them, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed!
Woke up, saw jawtooth, and clicked video. Best way to start my 20th birthday.
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Son!
Happy birthday!
HAPPY LATE BDAY
Happy belated birthday
Awesome location! Great catches! Great update on the Courthouse move!👍
I lived just south of there and moved away in April2021, They were just starting to renovate the courthouse and offices.
Thanks! 👍
Great day in La Grange, awesome trains. This is how to see La Grange on video. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Maybe La Grange should have built a fire truck and ambulance depot on the other side of the tracks before enlarging the courthouse. It would probably speed up getting to incidents...unless they only have one fire truck!
A lot of towns across the country have done just that.
Awesome video but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂👍
You got that right!
I believe that's what's called a "soul train."
Thanks for watching 😊
Great video. Love watching the street trains. LaGrange is on my bucket list to visit one day...
Go for it! The place is awesome
I've been there many times. It's excellent. 🚂🦾
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 👍✨🙏
What a jerk that guy was to step right in front of you, but thru it all you retained your composure and just moved further down the street for a better unobstructed view. You're a "classy" guy, keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching 😊
Most of those tank containers in that first train were carrying wine. Yes, wine. I chuckled.
Always like LaGrange videos. Street-running is just plain cool.
Thanks once more, JT. I'll see y'all next time.
Each one headed straight for an upper middle class gated community housewife's fridge.
The street running auto rack was going about 7mph at first, but picked up speed some time after the fire truck showed up. At the end, it was going over 14mph. I wonder if the engineer was alerted somehow?
That first double stack had over 90 car body units, including the two locomotives.
Train’s always increase speed there after the locomotives exit the street
That first train blew a stop sign.lol
I was just gonna say that lol
Next time lol
The amount of drivers who behave like they’re expecting it to stop is astounding.😂
👍
Thanks for watching 😊
Good morning JT. I love these street train videos. Keep'em coming
I can't believe a fire truck was waiting for a train
Unfortunately, they have to. Every second a fire department and EMS workers has to wait, puts people in greater danger.
How would you do that differently?
@@larryriedinger8528 Aside from having fire stations on both sides of the tracks, or more bridges over the tracks, I couldn't tell you.
Thanks for watching 😊
Another great video JT and y’all stay safe out there my friend and watch your back and we’ll catch you on the next one
Thanks 👍 Have a great week Timmy!
Hey jaw tooth live action son. 2 trains and fire truck and ambulance. It be cool if you were seen on virtual railfan camera. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙍
Very cool! Have a great railroad day also Lesa!
The waiting time for the fire truck and ambulance is at least 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Let's hope it won't affect the disaster they're responding to.
I would expect the fire service would have two substations, one on each side of the railroad, to cover for these kind of issues. (To be honest, the fact that this RR still runs through the middle of town, while there is an easy way around it, is mind boggling.)
@@pjotrtje0NLsmall towns near me bisected by a class 1 railroad seem to have one bridge across the tracks, but it can be off the best route.
The railroad is a big tourist draw - without it, the main street would not be so gentrified. The town grew up around the tracks. In order to build a rail bypass, the town would need to purchase a new right-of-way and install the tracks, signals, grade crossings, etc. to exchange with the RR for their existing right-of-way. Maybe they could get a federal grant, but there would be a revolt.
@@johnclingman9401good grasp of what the street running trains bring to La Grange People who think they're a problem which desperately needs to be solved have an extremely poor understanding of it. As for the train blocking the emergency vehicles that happens in every town with a railroad running through it whether street running or not.
Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks, JT! I Really Appreciate It!
You bet!
In my town we have a Fire Department a on each side of the tracks.
This was another very well done video, all kinds of action. Those street trains really slow things down in that section of the city. I wonder how often an ambulance or firetruck has to wait out one of those trains. That courthouse is quite impressive.
Good morning enjoy the video👍👍
Good morning!😃
Nice film and congrats on 320K subscribers ❤
Thank you so much 😀
@@JawTooth Your welcome 😁
😊😊 super recording 😊🚂.
Based on the information in your description for this video, you must have had a busy railfanning day in LaGrange, Kentucky on 18 March 2024, Jaw Tooth. You have this video and at least one more video coming soon. The northbound intermodal train was a decent size train. The southbound auto rack train heading to Louisville, Kentucky made the FedEx delivery driver move his truck in a hurry. It seemed to me that the auto rack train was moving faster than usual after the fire engine and ambulance appeared. I wonder if the LaGrange, Kentucky Fire Department dispatcher called the CSX dispatcher to tell him that the train needed to move faster because of a medical emergency.
The double stackers are my favorite!!!
Seeing ThaT fire truck pull up, With its emergency 🚨 lights flashing 🚨 😮
I hope that place have a hospital 🏥 on both sides of the track ❗️🚨❗️ 🏥
Thanks for watching!
Good morning from Virginia
😅
Good morning in Virginia!
Good Tuesday morning Brian, awesome video this morning. Have a good day.
amazing video JT! the way these street running trains operate is fascinating. keep up the good work❤🎉
the town i live in before it was dry had a bar next to then B&O metro subdivision. The parking lot for the bar was grade level with the tracks. some drunk parked his car on the tracks one night and a west bound B&O dragged the car down the tracks aways. When i was a boy a box car somehow drifted out of a siding and went east for about 10 miles, went through several grade crossings. i bet the people at the crossings were surprised to se just on box car go by and it was going fast. There was a work train in the main town that the box car hit. went right up on top of the caboose, which i saw.
Hey JawTooth
Shout out to Mrs JawTooth
Great video as always
Covering just about every type of live action there is. In fact as the fire truck pulled up the auto rack going by was a genuine ATSF Santa Fe car which are really few and far between today. They need one of those Underground bypasses
Thanks for watching!
Another great video JT thanks greetings from Scotland 😊
Josh sir this video is excellent we are glad you did not take any chances with your safety filming this so no worries. When I mean we I mean as followers of your channel. To be exact😊 these videos make me very happy
Thanks 👍 I am glad to hear that!

Hi JT, back in La Grange! Its awesome the courthouse looks nearly finished now, good job. Fab trains although bad timing for fire engine. Beautiful day hope you & Scott had a great day. ❤😊👍
Cool, thanks for watching! It was an awesome day and I will have another video from it also
@@JawTooth fab a part 2! 😍
lol Jawtooth you’re a funny man on 13:28 you said move that truck made me laugh there but yes that truck should move out of the way since train coming
Lol, thanks for watching!
That was a long intermodal in LaGrange, JT! And not going by axles but buy units with or double containers I came up 150. Nice train! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Very nice!
I would hope they have other Fire/EMS stations on the other side of the tracks.
Great video JT, as always! Thank you very much! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you too!
@@JawTooth You're welcome!😊
Lots of rail fan's in front of JT today.
Oh yeah, and early too. 🌞
Amazing to see a train running down main Street. Great video as well.
Thank you very much!
I always like your videos, keep makin em and I'll keep watchin em. As many as I can when I can.
Thanks Jawtooth for great video. We pass through La Grange when we go to the gulf coast and stop and eat at the One Nineteen and watch the train go by.
That is awesome!
Wow JT. The Fire Brigade just can't stay away from you can they? 😂. JT? Awesome, I gotta get in on this. Honey. What? I'm on CZcams. 😊
Ah Lagrange KY . One of my favorite VR cameras. I would like to see Lagrange in person ,when I go to Louisville with my brothers for the Truck show next year.
Great Video JT.. I see ya got Gambit ( Scott) with ya . I figure his Lagrange video will pop up in my subcripsons soon . 😃
Mack
Very cool! You have to stop and visit this town. It is a must see for all railfans. I love visiting here and checking out the shops
That was a fairly short auto rack train. For the fire department's sake, it was a good thing. Perhaps they should have an overpass or underpass for emergency vehicles. Good train though, because all trains are good! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Yes I agree. Thanks for watching and commenting Gary!
@@JawTooth %The pleasure is all mine JT. 😎😀
Enjoyed the video
Hello, Rick, how are you doing today.
Awesome video Jaw Tooth always fun to watch street running trains plus a fire truck WOW
Thanks 👍
Great catches and awesome video
23° F and snow flurries tonight up here in Rhinelander. I envy your weather. Enjoyed the La Grange action much. Thanks JT!
Glad you enjoyed it! Warm weather is coming soon
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
You are correct it depends on how many sections are connected together before a coupler is used
Yes, that is what makes it difficult to count the actual number of railcars. you will notice all kinds of numbers in the comments lol
Thank You Jaw Tooth, always Kool
Lagrange 🎉🎉 railfan heaven. Awesome video. Loved that intermodel. That was a long one! That case you had the one person rule😂😂🤣. You made do . That will be a nice-looking courthouse. The outside is the only part I want to see. Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Happy birth day. Many many happy returns of the day.
Yes, I hope he sees it
I imagine it isn't such a great thing to have a street runner in the way. Not much to be done about it, I feel for whoever they were responding too. That's the drawback.
Omg Brian just yesterday I was thinking how I love street running trains lol thank you 😊
You are so welcome
Good morning Jaw Tooth Bob C says great video and for your Friendship always ❤
Good morning!
I was wondering how those first responders feel about being on call and having to wait on these big trains going through town. Thanks JT
i guess they cross their fingers and hope it's a false alarm
@@25mfd or maybe is serious 😤
Good question! They probably call another dept if they get stuck but I guess it depends on how serious the emergency is
Good video, Brian.
Glad you think so! Thanks for being here so fast!
Awesome video JawTooth I seen you live on cam and knew it was you!! Keep the good stuff coming.
An action packed video JT just awesome.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, morning! I'm from Brazil. Good job.
Hello there!
A city with street-running tracks needs emergency fire and ambulance stations on both sides of the track.
The primary issue is not the tracks running along/thru the street but how many CROSS streets there are and whether there are any options such as over or underpass. Also the cost and/or ability of the locality to maintain extra fire/emt stations and where the local health care facility is located in reference to the population distribution comes into play.
Better late than never I guess. Thanks for the show JAW TOOTH
From Deb…very interesting and beautifully edited video, JT. Always love the whole vibe of your videos: consistent awesome rock music start, the rooster, start the video son, wait there’s more-course there always is, great videos and your information, the slide show, the arm swipe, same great music end…it all really uniquely sets you apart from all other channels. Please don’t ever change it…such a pleasure to watch!
I couldn't believe that delivery truck was stopped right on the track with the train coming.
JawTooth My dad will say yes to watch the video and he may cash app you anyways this a great video you upload
Wow, thanks! I appreciate the support
Nice one.
Thanks!
Hey! You should've waved at the Virtual Railfan Camera, it was right there. I hope you get a grabbag spot though!

Thanks, will do!
@JawTooth your very welcome sir 🙏 😊
Happy Birthday Dennis! Enjoy!
Yes, I hope he has a great day
It's been a long time since I've been to La Grange. I need to get back there.
I can't picture this on some streets in Massachusetts! I live along a railroad ( in my backyard) couldn't imagine it being on a main road with traffic!
😅amazing all the containers 2 floor hi.😊
That was long double stack train
Oh! Bad traffic situation!
Awesome video! This makes me want to go to LaGrange more and more, did not know they had Airbnb's right on main Street
Yes they do have at least 4 of them
@@JawTooth nice!
Nice job on catching them trains jaw tooth Keep it up please
The axle count really gets skewed with the articulated units having just eight axles for three 'cars' instead of the twelve we are accustomed to. (I know each unit in the articulated string carries the same AAR number, which could be a real headache for the maintenance crews).
Fabulous video, once again, my fiend. Thank you!
In my home area from my youth, Franklin, PA had several places where there was street running trains - 'JOY MINING AND MACHINERY' used to ship 'continuous miners' out by rail and those memories are still with me - seeing that huge locomotive, the flatcar with the miner on it.
Let God be your guide and you'll always be fine
Great video as always.😊
Thank you 🤗
Thank you
You're welcome
I belonged to a Fire Company which this happened alot but its the area which i lived plus it was a main line for the railroad.
Another great video.
