Take the Guess Work Out of Natural Hair Care. ~ Facts and, "Not So" Common Sense to Longer, Thicker, Healthier Hair. - Jak na to + styl
OMG THE BABY WITH THE BONNETTTTTTT 💕💕😩💜
Yeah that got me too, so cute 🥰
Ikr 😊
So that people dont panic, shampoos are usually alkaline, so don't be afraid of that result, however your leave in conditioner or styling product should be in the weak acidic range. Aloe vera juice (weak acid) in a spray bottle is a perfect liquid to spritz after shampooing your hair or visiting the pool and a better alternative to hard water which is alkaline.
This 😊
Jay Jee, 1 teaspoon of ACV to 8 oz. of distilled water. I learned this from one of Green Beauty's videos. So far, that combination has been the perfect PH balance for my high porosity hair.
@@paradiseawaits821 yeah ACV works as a weak acid, however if you don't care for the smell Aloe vera juice is perfect too
My hair absolutely hates aloe vera 😩. It responds horribly to it. And not just pure aloe but also every product that contains high amounts of it.
@@brittany.381 shame, ACV for you then
Thank you for breaking it down to the bare bones because some people on CZcams make it more complicated than it needs to be when it comes to natural hair care. And thank you for not speaking in a condescending manner for those who may not have fully understood this information beforehand.
Amen to this comment. ❤️
The education you provide is unmatched 🙌🏽❤️ Every video I know you're dropping gems
I'm shocked to find out Cetyl alcohol and Stearyl alcohol are the number 2 and 3 ingredients in my Giovanni deep moisture conditioner. After wash, my hair get dry and stiff, now I know why. SMH. What conditioner do you recommend?
Amen
@@kinnyp.2095 right now I’ve been loving curlmix.. their fresh collection is life 😍

Yes💛
"If your gossiping and throwing curses at someone, please pray for them also, Because we want to be perfect just like you"!!! (Let us seek to build others up not tear them down):
Who in the world is giving thumbs down! Honestly, STOP IT!!! Now, back to my comment....I love all of this, especially the scienitic explanation! Learning sooo much from this! Thank you, Green Beauty & congrats on your little cutie!!!
It's most likely the fully baldheaded chicks giving thumbs down😂😂.
A very unhappy person!
A very unhappy person!
People who benifits from our ignorance

Emulsifiers are in practically EVERY product for hair so I’m so glad you shared that.
I just love the animation of your videos sis. And the fact that you give tips that are scientifically proven ✊🏾✨
Green Beauty, you make me feel like I just attended a chemistry lesson whenever I watch your videos 😎😎
Ikr. But a lesson where I'm actually paying attention and don't leave class crying from being confused 🤣
Sending you love all the way from South Africa 🤗♥️🇿🇦
I love my South African brothers and sisters. I’ll be coming soon! 😘😘😘
@@GreenBeauty we can't wait, been a silent South African follower for a while now ☺️🥰
@@GreenBeauty can't wait either. I've always been interested in your hair products but the shipping to SA is quite expensive
Another awesome video that teaches the importance of WASHING your hair. I legit don’t understand this whole ‘no shampoo’ movement in the natural hair community.
You can definitely use different methods and products to cleanse your scalp and hair that are safer for your hair. First example using a clay mask and diluted apple cider vinegar. I personally do not use a lot of products in my hair and I rarely have build up, using conventional shampoo, even the non sulfate ones. So I dont use "shampoo" but I do cleanse my hair. So that's what people should understand. It is IMPORTANT TO CLEANSE YOUR HAIR AND SCALP REGULARLY.
People tend to listen to the part of the advice they want to hear. A CZcamsr says they only shampoo their hair once a month. But people ignore that that CZcamsr doesn’t use many products, co-washes weekly and wets it regularly. They just stop washing their hair while dumping everything on their head.
There's just not a lot of research into naturally curly hair
For a century most of the funding for research to create products for our hair went into straightening it. You still see that today in cosmetology schools.
IMO I think this is why there's so much confusion on shampoos, build up and oils. Because there's hardly any thorough scientific studies on what _truly_ works to keep our curls healthy and beautiful.
We're all just experimenting
@@starcherry6814 Great response and so true.
@@afisanaa good for you...I'm sure you probably inherited some of those growth genes from your parents...Everyone (regardless of race or haircare regimen) will not grow waist length hair...
Your video proves that everyone with a hair tutorial is not a teacher. So clear and very easily understood . You took your time in a calm and loving manner all in an effort to help. Excellent. A job well done as you shared much needed knowledge. Appreciate you!!!!!
I'm waiting on your book lady? I need all your facts in one place at my fingertips! 📖 😉
👏👏👏👏
I agree 😀
Yes please write a book!
It's the details and the voice for me!! Thanks for always bringing information that's usable and consistent pertaining to hair🧡
been on natural hair youtube for YEARS and i just found your channel a few days ago. The level of education you provide is OUTSTANDING. I genuinely feel like i'm in a class and should be taking notes.
Thank you for these informational videos! The best way to grow our hair to take good care of it. People hype up and buy "fast growing" hair oils but before they even bought the oil they rarely took care of their hair. The oils advertised are like a placebo effect to encourage naturals to take care of their hair while making a profit, more power to the black owned businesses that market them
This is the truth and when you tell the consumers this, they'll argue with you.
@@stefanie3star oof lol, they'll learn
Hope mommy and little Iko are doing well! You're amazing for even posting right now, hope you're getting some good rest! xoxo 🌸🌸🌸

What an excellent video!! Thank you so much for this.
Omg this is so me!!! I have debated giving up so many times because my hair would be great for a while then all of a sudden my routine would stop working. I am thinking it’s due to multiple things after watching this video. Anyhow, thanks so much for posting!! FYI I did take advantage of that sale but am kicking myself because I didn’t get to ph test strips…. Next time.

Any chance we could get that clumping video this weekend?🤣 I need to reset my wash and go and your clumped hair looks out of this world!😍

@GeenBeauty, PLEASE make a video about a green-tea hairmask for optimal absorption of the chemical EGCG for men with baldness (similar to your excellent video on Onion-juice hairmask), please.
I remember getting severe scalp itch about 4 years ago due to over wearing bonnet during the day and obviously the night

Again a very good video. Thank u. But I cut of nearly all my hair in April. Might grow it back after 2 years. For now I am content with keeping it very short and just watching hair regiment videos
I got locs once I realized clumping the hair retains moisture. Awesome video as usual!
Locs don't look moisturized at all.
@@ASmith-jn7kf lol moisture isn’t a look necessarily! Somebody can have dry shiny hair while someone’s hair who isn’t as shiny is moisturized. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@ASmith-jn7kf your comment is the reason why people automatically think shiny hair= moisturized. pure ignorance
Looking forward to your clumping video.

Sis can you do a video on your nailcare? I know it isn't hair related but your fingernails are definitely goals. I am wondering do you rub oils on them? Shape them? I just need some natural nail care tips on keeping them strong and healthy. Thank you!
