    Been a pro game dev using Maya for about 18 of my 20 years in the industry, and still learn something new from all your videos. Thanks!

    Interesting technique with the shrink wrap. Never done that before, good idea.

      @@jlmussi I have it on my list to create a stamping tool where you can easily shrink wrap an object or stamp down a transform, but I'll work on your suggestion of UV transfer multiple first.

    Very nice 👍
    You probably already know this, but it's worth pointing it out nonetheless.
    You can copy and paste objects from one Maya to another session of Maya by simply selecting your object in the first one, pressing CTRL+C and then CRTL+V in the second one.

    Good to see you back on CZcams man! Nice tut as always, i recently discovered shrink wrap for the purpose of conforming objects to other objects like in this video. Miss the Facebook group but i just had to delete Facebook tbh. Is there also a Discord?

    • @jlmussi
      @jlmussi  Před 3 lety +1

      What's up brother! Yea I'm planning a bit more consistency going forward. As far as the groups, I only have a general FB group and a discord group for my courses.

    Amazing! Thank you very much. But I do have a question. Would't be easier or faster with NURBS? Like making only curves and projecting them on the curved surface, applying the Loft or birail and after converting them into Polygons?
    Thank you and keep the great content :D

    • @michaell1473
      @michaell1473 Před 3 lety +1

      Might be easier to make the shape with nurbs but subdiv topology is almost always easier to work with after the projection. Having nice clean quad geometry like this should always be your goal.

      @@michaell1473
      You can convert nurbs to subdivs very easily.
      Also nurbs give you the level of precision that poly/subdivs just can't when it comes to hard surface modeling.

    How do you control the values of the bevel with your mouse? Do you still use the little bevel popup?

    How can I do the same thing in 3ds max?

    • @professionalgambling6783
      @professionalgambling6783 Před 3 lety +1

      In compound objects there should be conform, then change some settings. Try along the normals, and also there might be wrap to the center. However, maya conform, live objects snaps and shrink wrap are just better, and easier to use. Still you can do it in max.
