- Vintage Singer Sewing Machine 15-91. This is a video I made for Heather who bought this machine. At one point I mistakenly state that the bobbin should be loaded counter clockwise. The first time I show the loading of the bobbin in the case I correctly say it should be loaded clockwise. This is important. :)
The bobbin should be loaded counterclockwise. You always load bobbins in the opposite direction of the slit on the bobbin case. That is what gives your bobbin the tension it needs.
Slot to the left c.c.r. as is the model15 seriesq 11oclock bobbin case...ps don't forget the take up arm ....happy sewing!
This video saved me. My needle was front to back and it did not stitch for two days . I did not know left to right. Thank You
Simple, informative, clear and close views you have the best explanation on you tube ..thank you..

Mine was skipping stitches a lot. took the bobbin case apart cleaned it couldnt figure out the problem. Had the flat on the needle on the wrong side... Instant fix thanks.
Thank you for this video. I just bought this very same machine and did not know how to thread it or change the bobbins. Do u have a video of how to fill a bobbin?. Thanks
Sewing Machine parts online also has manuals you can order.
Mahalo for these videos. What thread do you recommend for sew leather?
I bought a Singer sewing machine model 15-90, I know nothing about using it, I am happy I found your video on CZcams. I will refer to your videos for more informations. I have difficulty with threading the needle as the eye is too small, are needles with larger eyes available and where can I get them? They were unavailable at Walmart.
Needles made for embroidery usually have larger eyes. You could also try a manual needle threader. I use one when threading my serger.
Elaine M Fisher Thank you for the information.
I have a machine that i know nothing about the serial # JC760603 can you help. I would love to use it, but am confused. I have spent hours trying to find info and nothing.
Is it a Singer and are you in the USA. I checked on Ismacs website which has a lot of information regarding vintage singers. I could not find a listing starting with serial number JC. If the number started with J only it would be a 28K from 1904. Here is a link to the manual for a 28k. www.singermachines.co.uk/sewingmachineparts/instruction-books/singer-28k-manual.html
If that is not it I suggest you join the Facebook group for vintage singers. They have a lot of knowledgeable folks. I suggest you post a picture of your machine in that group. Here is a link to the Facebook group facebook.com/groups/292073434563220/?ref=share

After watching the first few minutes of this, I don’t know whether to shoot myself or shoot you.
“ this is how you do it, no way that’s wrong I think, this is how you do it, no way that’s not right either.
You should not be making videos!
