This also works in the Kindle app for your phone. I personally haven't been able to get it to work in Kindle app for PC though
I purchased the Scribe based on your videos and I haven't been disappointed. This latest feature is "over the moon", and I thank you. Great work keep up the super content.
is this feature no longer there?
Great found on this feature. It is handy to be able to show it on the screen through the web rather than emailing your notebook first. Thanks for this tip!
Really had no idea this existed they should for sure show this more and add to it, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Brandon for another great video and amazing interaction on Discord!
Hi Brandon. I just found this video after ordering my Kindle Scribe. I was not aware of this feature, however, I can say it does work. I had experimented with the Scribe shortly after its release last year but ultimately returned it because the updates that improved the writing experience had not come out yet. After seeing updated reviews, I'm trying it again which led me to your video.
Indeed, the few notes I made when I had the device last year are accessible via the Kindle app on my Samsung phone and tablet. That is good to know. I don't work in any way in any sensitive industry and I don't think Amazon cares about my journal writings or sketches so I will keep the feature turned on 🤣
I actually handle sensitive data and this is one of the reason I keep my Scribe for personal business purposes and use my Remarkable 2 for my work. I do hope that in the future they separate the reading and notebook in Whisper-sync. Great video.Thank you!
This is awesome! Thanks so much for pointing this out.
It works on the kindle app for android. Tested all there with easy access.
Thank you for providing the hidden link. It worked for a couple of days, but now it's redirected to a FAQ page.
;(
This is pretty cool! I just recently discovered my Scribe notebooks in the Kindle app on my phone, so it's cool to see they're also accessible from the web. I do hope they add additional privacy controls in the future, too!
Good note Maneet. I hadn’t noticed that in the app until you mentioned it. It looks like they are using the exact same tech for both experiences
to bad PDFs aren’t there too
That Idea should be one of Amazon highlights. At the same time as I see the potential of this, I easily see the risk involved with syncing notebooks. Especially If I can view those notebooks from web. It's the same situation as with Boox devices
Nice feature! Didnt think about using it in place of a screen share with the quick syncing.
That was fast
Hi,
Seems not working anymore 😢
It does not work anymore!!!!! :::(((((
Thanks! Honestly the best content on Kindle Scribe on the web
😍
Thanks for this great video. I'm loving my Kindle Scribe and the new Send to Kindle feature in Word. I don't suppose you know how to take notes on a document on the Kindle and then export the PDF back to PC and be able to see the comments inline? I can see the highlighted parts but the comments are all in a list down the bottom of the PDF, making it way harder for the person looking at the review to read, understand, and address the feedback. Hope I've explained that correctly! Anyway, good to see Amazon making big strides to improve the functionality of the device. Thanks again!
I don't know of a way to do this, unfortunately. Good luck!
I discovered that whisper sync is necessary if you want to OCR any of your notebooks.
No longer available 😢
Thank you. This was very interesting to me. But when I tried to access the page with the kindle notebooks, the page that was displayed said "Shop Kindle Scribe." Perhaps the page you showed is no longer accessible. Your video was posted in June and I am watching it now, late October. The info on syncing was very helpful, and I totally agree and hope Amazon splits the syncing for books from notebooks. Sad we have no privacy at all anymore. Even if the content is not sensitive, I would rather keep it completely private. Thank you again for the great content!
Hey Lou, someone else mentioned that it’s not there, so they may have moved or gotten rid of this in a recent update. I will take a look when I get a minute
@@BrandonKBoswell Thank you!
Question: If you have two scribes logged into the same account, and have something like whispersync? So you are working on one device, then put it down, can you go back to work where you left off on the second scribe?
Brandon - any tips on how to move my notebook files across folders?
So I was trying to get all my remarkable 2 notes onto the scribe and I emailed all of them to my kindle email. Now I'm stuck trying to organise them in folders.
What browser are you using?
Thank you very much for this insight. Curious how you came across it 😊

@@BrandonKBoswell Wow! I was surprised to receive a reply. Thank you so much! Wishing you success in all your endeavors
Splitting whisper sync for books and notebooks would be nice... but so would just fully end-to-end encrypting notes on device and servers... Long way to go for e-ink privacy and security.
Good call @McMarvin42. I'm honestly surprised they don't have e2e encryption. Seems easy enough.
This is cool, thank you. Would be better if PDF files could be saved into folders. My remarkable does this easily with a simple move. Not sure why Kindle Scribe doesn't allow this
Yeah, they treat PDFs more like books and keep them separate from Notebooks. I also like that reMarkable treats everything as a document
@@BrandonKBoswellEasiest way for Amazon to kill RM2 perhaps is copying Connect and having a Kindle Connect like for PDFs and Notes...
Which may be a matter of time...
Very cool. Any chance there is a place to find a notebook you may regret having deleted?
Hmm... Not that I'm aware of.
There isn’t any way to isolate data is there?
For instance I am the only one that has a scribe but my family all have kindles and we share the library. If I used this as a journal and someone else has a scribe or just logs into this all of my journal pages would be available to be read.
I am a fan of the device broadly. But the issues of device sharing and privacy or security are just different between books and note taking.
Even notes for work that are not “secret” or confidential I don’t really want on a website without explicit permission.
As far as I know notebooks aren’t family-shared, so as long as each person has there own account you should be okay.
@@BrandonKBoswell yes. But that requires family account with individual users. At this point there isn’t a reason to have individual accounts for amazon kindle. I can create separate accounts but you are limited with amazon to two adult and then kid accounts.
It is just another layer of work.
Are you switching to Kindle from Remarkable? If yes, why?
No, but they are improving its software, which has been the problem all along.
Does that mean if my Kindle were to break I can recover my notebook this way?
Assuming you have Whispersync turned on, then yes!
here i amwondering if brandon boswell has upload recentl, (am brandon too haha!) and I click and waht do i see. he did!
;)
