What is matcha? Matcha is a type of green tea with that is made by grinding the tea leaves into a fine powder. It has many benefits and a long history in Japan, where it was originally consumed by monks in Kozanji temple during meditation. In the 1100s. It was prepared by mixing the ground powder with water. In Uji, Japan, tea culture and the use of matcha in tea ceremonies became popular and helped to establish matcha as a revered beverage. The production of high-quality matcha involves a labor-intensive process that results in a vibrant green color and smooth, naturally sweet flavor. It is now consumed and appreciated worldwide for its unique flavor and health benefits.

2:34 Also, the reason why the entrance to the tea room (Nijiriguchi) is so small like the rabbit hole in "Alice in Wonderland" is that everyone goes into the tea room, sits down, and has tea in the same way, ignoring their status. Merchants, samurai, peasants, and even Kampaku and Shogun, all as one person, enter the tea room and have tea ... In fact, there was a "sword rack" outside the old tea room. If the samurai wears a long sword on his waist and tries to enter from Nijiriguchi, the sword will be caught in the small entrance and he cannot enter. In the world of the Warring States period, was the tea room the only space where there was true contact between people without any social status?

    • @Nioteas
