So much respect for this culture. I have quit drinking alcohol, so now I am exploring different beverages. Green tea, matcha, black tea, it’s all different and beautiful. In a world with such beautiful diversity and culture, there is no end to how much you can learn.
    Again, much respect!

There are many beautiful tea traditions around the world and so many varieties to try. Yerba maté from various South American countries is an interesting one. Pakistani noon chai and Tibetan sherpa butter tea are also very unique milk-based teas that would be interesting to experiment with!

I had to quit smoking out of respect for My family's wishes. and ive gotten into loose leaf tea and making french press coffee with whole beans. the tasking process is good for the soul and loose leaf tea is so calming to drink. and even though coffee has caffeine, hand grinding coffee and the process of french pressing makes a soothing and delicious drink. dont really miss smoking that much now

D.A Silver+ It will take longer than that. It's impossible to master any language in 2 years, especially if the language doesn't belong to even same language family.
Two years might be enough to acquire basic understanding of Japanese, so you can get by and actually use the language. It kinda depends on if you try to learn Kanji at the same time and how much you are willing/able to study. However, that's only the start and the road to mastery starts there. It will take many years, even decades, and you pretty much have to use the language everyday.

I went one year in Japan, in a high school. There, I joined the tea ceremony club
No regrets! I learned so many things, it was really interesting
    I was honestly very surprised when I saw how p r e c i s e every move is. Everything is calculated.
For example, at 1:44, the only edge where the red scarf doesn't have a sewing must be on the right side, in the right hand (if I remember correctly)
Sometimes, when you put down that thing 1:19, you have to make a sound but sometimes you mustn't
At 3:30, when you take the tea, you have to take what's on the side and not destroy the kind of pyramid you make in the middle
Every single thing has a rule
I gave those as examples, that's what I learned and I hope I remember correctly (if I made any mistake, please tell me)
But there are so many many kinds of ceremonies, depending of the season or else... Even the cups have different motifs depending on the season or the event!
There is so much to learn, I love it

I’m a ceramics artist with a deep love for raku pottery. The concept of raku is beautiful, even though most unfamiliar people look at it and think “What a lumpy and crudely made tea cup. Was this really made by an expert artist?”
But raku tea cups are made that way deliberately. The idea is to know immediately that a cup was made by hand, and made to _feel_ comfortable in one’s own hands. To feel nice against your lips as you drink from it. Just the right size, and just the right thickness of the cup, so it insulates both the tea and the drinker’s hands, without being uncomfortably thick around the lip where you drink from.
A good raku tea cup is your favorite tea cup. You love it for its simplicity, and for its tangible qualities, and for the sense of human spirit the artist made it with, even if it’s not the most elaborately decorated cup. It’s one of those things which you love for what it is.

    茶道の全行程を見るのは初めて。
    審美眼が鍛えられる気がしました。瞑想と日本の美が融合したような深い世界観ですね。

      不快でしたら申し訳ありません🙇‍♀️
