I actually stopped wearing and using my Apple Watch some months ago now. I got fed up with all the notifications and such that I was getting from it. So an alternative such as this non-interrupting ring, that fully integrates into Apple’s ecosystem, would be a great alternative…from my point of view anyway.
Just think, if it comes with a screen you may be able to watch CZcams on it😂😂😂😂.

Just put it on airplane mode. Safer anyway with no EMF and it turns into just a watch, health tracker, activity tracker and sleep tracker. You won’t get bothered anymore.

I just got an Oura ring yesterday (3/16/2024) & so far I love it. It is light & I don't have to wear my AW Ultra all the time. Lets see how long the battery last for me.

Be careful with whoop. We had them for two years and after one of the later updates the heart rate start to misbehave significantly like just a few arm swings while sittting bumped to 150 hr

I am unsure if I would use the ring for exercise since I would worry about getting my finger jammed and needing to have the ring cut off. But I would definitely be interested in wearing this when I sleep.
Next thing you know they’ll develop a microchip all you’ll have to do is think and they’ll do whatever you ask thinking about. I always thought it would be cool if you could project a hologram on the wall of FaceTime, for example for example, instead of having FaceTime on your phone project sit on the wall and you’ll be able to talk to the person and they can see you and you can see them. Kind of thing. I think that would be a cool idea.

I have an Apple Watch Ultra and has served me well for tracking most of my health information except for sleep. For me it is too bulky to use for sleep tracking unless I was backpacking or something, I usually charge it overnight anyhow. I then bought an Ōura ring,it is excellent in tracking my sleep which I exclusively use it for. It is laking in the fact that it doesn’t completely transfer data between all three devices(ring,watch and iphone) seamlessly using the Health app. My “Previous Day Activity” is not logged into my Ōura Ring app. at all. I have to ware my Ōura Ring wile working out for it to register. I usually wear another ring on my finger during the day and never were any rings when I workout with weights. So I think an “iRing” if fully integratabtle with the Apple Watch and iPhone would be something I would definitely be interested in. I also believe there would be no membership plan ether. You don’t have one for the Apple Watch or the iPhone do you? Just good business sense I think .
This will be the game changer apple needs. Especially if they do a Hermes collab collection.

Love the idea to assist working with other Apple devices. That is a very cool, minimalist way to operate through the Apple ecosystem
Though I suspect that since Apple is really wants to be a major healthcare player, the Ring might be part of a suite in its ecosystem: iPhone, Watch, Ring, coming sensors in AirPods, coming sensors in Visions--Pro and Air--and Glasses.

We don't have a Mac version yet. So for now, to use WallpaperZ on Mac, you'll need to use the iOS version and download the original 8K files from it. Then you can send them to your Mac.

I've had an Oura ring for several years. The battery now barely lasts one sleep cycle and I need to replace it. I've been holding out to see if Apple will announce a ring soon.

i would get this alongside my apple watch
why would you want both?
I have no problem wearing the Apple Watch to bed (my series 6 or my Ultra 1).
However, a ring with the same sleep monitoring function would be a good backup for the times I find I don't have enough charge and might need to wait an hour to wear it to bed.
But my option now is to use my other watch while the low battery one charges. And I use a third party app on my iPhone to get more granular detail on my sleeping, so this ring would need to be compatible with that app for me to consider it.
I hope this is true. I am so sick of my Oura ring having a different activity measurement than my watch. LOL!
I bought the Oura ring, Gucci edition, which happens to have lifetime subscription, so no monthly fees! Had it two years now, just about, so that's about $240 I've 'saved' towards the extra cost of that version... I love it, I hated wearing an Apple Watch, and also a Tag Heuer Connected Smart watch, which was gorgeous, but I prefer regular watches, and the Oura Ring gives me all the health data I need.

Hey Daniel, preferably I would choose the Apple Ring rather than the Apple Watch! But generally said! I am not as enthusiastic for a Smartwatch at all! I am more in for a analog watch but here specially for a „Radio Controlled“, such as the Solar powered Citizen Radio Controlled“! Therefore I would choose most definitely the „Apple Ring“! But only an Apple Ring with a Battery-life for 7+ days!

Its not for the purpose people think it is for. It was developed exclusively like a controller for apple vision. Think about it. Now in vision pro, for a single touch and some gesture, it has so many cameras, sensors, machine learning. Also because its not direct touch its not fully reliable and it doesn’t work if vision pro cant see your hand.

The Apple ring probably focus on the health benefits like check glucose, oxygen saturation, heart&breathing rate and sleeping even blood pressure. This will be very useful device to benefit all of the people who have health problems or concern, or patients. It’s hard to add these functions to Apple Watch duo to the ring is more close to your finger to better detect your health data like hospital device to check your glucose and oxygen saturation. I think the Apple Watch is unable to have all the functions on your wrist.
The only thing to replace my Apple Watch would be a newer Apple Watch. I would purchase a ring though as part of my eco.
I think the 2015 patent filing was really for the watch. Apple is careful not to give too much away when the file.

One word SIZING. A watch can have an adaptable and changeable strap to fit individual wrist sizes. Are they going to supply a ring in 10 different sizes for different sized fingers…. (age and sex of the wearer aside)? Obviously not!
