Seeing older Eve so depressed and full of regret made me so sad. But Mark did the right thing here by not rushing. Aside from all that he suffered lately, he also needs to feel the exact same way Eve feels about him, and I don't think he is there yet. He likes Eve sure, but Eve loves him. It's understandable that Mark needs a bit more time. But it's comforting that Eve actually gets that and she knows she needs to be his best friend through the rough patches.
I just hope they have a happy ending. I just can't take another heartbreak you two 💔

Invincible is based on the comics. In the comics Mark and Eve start to date and live happily ever after. Due to Mark being a Viltrumite and Eve being able to control molecules around (She can take any type of damage in battle and get herself back at the same way it was and she cannot die of old age because she can restore her molecules or something like that) Mark and Eve are able to live happily for thousands of years

Mark did the right thing. It’s too soon for him to be in another relationship after all that he went through. Right now, he needs time to recover.
I think it goes even a tad deeper than just him not being in the right headspace for a relationship. He likely believes he doesn't deserve it.
I so glad they’re not rushing this relationship, yes they’re endgame but they both need to heal, especially mark dude has been through hell.
What makes Eve have such a natural connection with Mark is the fact that she has already seen the elephant more than once and been trampled.
She, like him, has experienced how her powers isolated her from the people around her and prevented her from living a normal life. She began her career of heroism even younger, less prepared than him, and was in a situation close to death.
She discovered terrible secrets from her past and saw how evil people could be.
She saw loved people die in front of him and was powerless to save them, trauma, that brought her close to the dark side, when she almost killed her attackers in revenge.
I never even really gave a shit about on screen relationships in any tv show or movie but I want these two together already.
This show is so fucking good.

At this moment Mark just needed a shoulder to cry on from a close companion that would understand the dangers and sacrifices of being a hero and the emotional baggage that comes with It, and he almost went to Amber, but he chose Eve Instead.
And that says all we need to know.
Even with all of the action and fighting in this show, these are the moments I love the most. The humanity, and the love in the dialog. The writing is good.
She just perfect, u can see how she accurate in this moment with him, told him exactly he must hear in this moment of personal, mental crisis.
I hope he will make her happy in a future

I know this is gonna be a great relationship down the line. Even though they didn’t rush into things here (which was definitely the right thing to do) it left the season on such a great moment. A comforting head touch… such an amazing warm feeling it gives me.
Based on the show implying that Eve knows Mark feels the same way, I’m curious to see how they handle their “get together” moment in S3 from the comics.

Marks needs a minute, idk why everyone is upset that they didn’t get together this season. Mark just went through severe trauma, after Amber and angstrom, poor guy needs some time to work things out with himself before he gets involved in another relationship

Kirkman implied in one recent interview that the path to them becoming a couple is still going to be pretty different from the comics, so they might not get a relationship upgrade until Season 4.

Well it already has been different because they didn't kiss while he was with Amber and she never went to Africa. I think next season is almost guaranteed they get together especially since Invincible war and Conquest will be next season.

Not rlly, they could not be dating during conquest. Maybe the conquest fight is what brings them together. Risking their lives for eachother and what not. I see this happening since the show likes slower pacing.

I would have never imagined either person voicing those characters when I first read the comics years back and now rereading the entire series I hear their voices with each word. I am so excited to listen to Steven and Gillian in every happy, sad, funny, and incredible moment to come later on in the series.

Reading far into the comics, they really are good for each other. Breaking up with amber is tragic but she needed to be safe. The anissa thing was too close for comfort.
Honestly kind of glad they didnt immediately jump into this. Mark went something traumatic, not to mention he broke uo with his girlfriend. I doubt he wants to start dating again, even what Future Eve told him.

i just love this scene between mark and eve. super nuanced as expected of this show, glad they're getting this treatment too. it feels natural and understandable, all the choices the characters are making, even future eve's though more understandable than natural. you'd think realistically mark would be able to easily reject or reciprocate, but not in his position, not where his head is at. he needed something else from her without threat of ruining something else in his life and eve delivered exactly that here. this moment between them can potentially be seen as telling the audience of how the writers will approach this relationship's progression and dynamic, very softly and with great consideration. it could easily end up being really disengaging and distracting so fingers crossed they make the emotional beats hit harder with these two next season - for eve in particular given her incomplete character arc in this part of the story that lacked a proper and satisfying resolution on her end which allowed obvious growth and change.

Never really been into relationships in shows in years , but my god this one feels sooo worth it. They aren’t rushing into it and are giving mark the time he needs and letting it sit with the audience. Makes the audience really appreciate and respect the decision and love the characters even more for it.

Eve and Mark scene was good but the bit at the end with Nolan was amazing. I always thought that he endured because he had his pride and wanted to look for ways to escape. But in this scene you realize that he is enduring the punishment because he feels regret and he truly believes that this is what he deserves.
Finally the ship I wanted from the start is preparing for sail!

The other Eve ordered Mark to tell her a lot about his feelings because in that other dimension Eve and Mark couldn't be together either, I think everything is leading to them not being together, even though they both want to be together , i understand Mark
I think you're wrong. Everything is building up to it, but the problem is that Mark is emotionally distraught after
- learning about his half-brother
- seeing the Viltrumites' genocide against the Thraxans
- his father's supposed demise
- the "death" of Dupli-Kate, grave injuries of Shrinking Rae and Rex
- Anissa's arrival, his later break-up with Amber
- Angstrom nearly killing his mother after much goading
- presumably killing Angstrom (which he clearly regrets)
It wasn't helped by future Eve's confession, which is a burden she didn't need to give him. He went through so much in so little time and had to come to terms with all of it. Alone.

Not sure if you've read the comics but they get married and have kids. It's a major part of the story so I can't see them changing that.
