    Thank you. It took 16 years for my lymphedema to become bad. I felt like a time bomb. So grateful for this information.

    Thank-you. I have a feeling of soreness under my left armpit and down my left arm. My left chest feels a bit sore when I touch it. Even when my shirt touch the skin on my chest it feels tender. I am convinced that this due to lymph nodes working hard to rid me of an infection
    I came up in a small rash on the upper back (only on the left side).
    I am truly grateful for your demo because at least I can do something to heal myself. Thank-you. Thank-you Thank-you.

    Thanks for such a helpful video instruction. Much appreciated! Two quick comments. 1. This process is a little complicated or involved. It would help if you could just review the massage points and order once more at the end as a review it would be great. 2. Please give modifications for those of us who have both sides affected. Thanks again!

    My left underarm is so swollen even with PT every week. I had 19 lymph nodes removed that were cancerous. One breast was removed. I had IDC BRCA. I exercise it like they told me to everyday, but it still feels very painful under the armpit. Feels like something stabbing me under my arm with a stick lol.😂 It hurts so much I cant lay on my left side. My what a deal. 😟

      What type of PT are you doing? After my mastectomy, I was sent to a regular pt for muscles and a therapist who specializes in lymphatic drainage. I feel your pain (every day) . Best wishes

    Is this technique can be use for dvt patients with lympedema?

    • @MSURehabMed
      @MSURehabMed  Před 4 lety +1

      DVT's are a contraindication for performing Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) or using compression pumps because of the risk of developing a pulmonary embolism. Please consult with a physician if you have concerns regarding lymphededma for patients with DVT.

      I am not necessarily qualified but this is so important in other cultures massages are so essential and that also helps the most important part is to go lightly and the directions she says specially when referring to the affected side

    How do you know what side is "affected?"

    • @MSURehabMed
      @MSURehabMed  Před 4 lety

      The affected side is normally larger in size indicating lymphedema. Please consult with a physician or a certified lymphedema therapist for further direction/diagnosis if you have concerns one side might be affected.

      @@lalitahalawar2198 no it isn't. However, lymphedema is one way the body may react to cancer surgery. Specifically, breast cancer surgery can affect the arms. So that's why this demonstration of arm massage is useful for cancer patients who have developed lymphedema after their surgery.
