    Canada In Africa
Cameroon is both an Anglophone and Francophone country. This makes it the only country that has had both languages considered as official languages since achieving her independence. English is spoken in the South West and North west regions whereas French is spoken in the rest of the country.
    Wettest Country
Debundscha Point on Mount Cameroon (along with the nearby village of Debundscha) is one of wettest places on Earth. It has mean annual precipitation of more than 10,000mm - an average rarely seen elsewhere in the world.
    African Soccer Kings
Cameroon has the second most successful African football team after Egypt. They have won the Africa Cup of Nations championship five times and have been runners up twice.
Home To The World's Giant Frog
The world’s largest frog can be found in Cameroon. The goliath frog (Conraua goliath) can grow up to 34cm long, weigh over 3.2kg and builds their own ponds using heavy rocks.
    Second Longest-Serving President
In 2018, President Paul Biya was elected for a seventh term. Biya has been president since 1982, making him Africa’s second-longest serving leader and, at 88 in 2021, he is the oldest leader in Africa.
    Second Most Linguistic Country
There are as many as 275 local languages spoken in Cameroon, making it one of the most linguistically diverse countries.
    Girls Marry at 15 Years
In cameroon, the legal age for mariage for girls is 15 years. This has received alo of cristism from the international community
    Triangular Map
If you look attentively at a map of the country, it looks like an elongated triangle.
    World's Most Dangerous Lake
In 1986, poisonous gas was discharged from Lake Nyos killing around 1,800 people and 3,500 livestock as well as innumerable birds and insects. Carbon dioxide from a pocket of volcanic magma below the Earth’s crust slowly accumulates on the bottom of the lake before eventually discharging. Scientists have now installed pipes to safely vent the gas.
    The Best Flora & Fauna

One cannot walk with the Message or the book of a prophet who died before he was born and go to heaven. It is impossible! All the priests of Israel, the pastors, imams, monks and Ephesians 4 and religious leaders that you see on the earth, they are volunteers in the harvest of God. Anyone who is not established by a living prophet messenger is a volunteer and it is the same today with all your religious leaders in all the religions.

52 All of you inhabitants of the earth, in the name of the Almighty God, I beg you to lift up your head. In regard to Salvation, God who is just did not favour one people over another people. God did not favour the Jew over the Arab or the Hindu over the Christian. You the Arab, the religion of your birth family could have been Hinduism. You the Christian, the religion of your birth family could have been Islam. You the Hindu, the religion of your birth family could have been Christianity. Whether Moses, Jesus, Mahomet, Krishna or Buddha is a messenger of God or not; whether the Torah, the Bible, the Quran, the Veda is a book that came down from heaven or not, that is not important for you who are alive today. The will of God for your salvation is not what your family or everyone else does around you, but it is what the living prophet of your time tells you. You were born alone and be aware that one day, you will die alone and also, you will go to judgment before God alone. Neither your father nor an imam, or anyone else will answer for you. But God who is just will send a prophet in your lifetime, to show you the way to heaven, just as before you, He also sent prophets to show the way to heaven to generations before you.

The third wettest place on earth Debunscha is pronounced "D boon sha". I am Cameroonian from the specific region in the South West. So many more interesting facts about Cameroon...
-Commonly known as Africa in miniature because of the diversity of culture and geography. Apart from French and English as official languages you have over 250 ethnic groups with various cultural identities in food, dressing, dances, language, practices etc.
    - The Bamum Scripts are a written language of the Bamum peoples of the Western region of Cameroon first publicly written by a Bamum King in the early 19th century.
There are rainforest, mountains, plateaus, semi arid, coastal regions and grassfield regions.
-Cameroon ranks 15th in literacy rates in Africa at just over 77% and identical to that of India.
-Cameroon is a former colony of Germany, France and Britain though the actual history is more complex.
-There's an ongoing conflict dating from 2017 in Cameroon in the minority English speaking regions due to a cultural/language divide in the country.
-Cameroon has the largest active volcano in Africa. Known as mount Cameroon, 4095 meters high, the last recorded volcanic activity was in 2012. No lives have been recorded lost in the history of it's activity though property has been damaged.
-Cameroon is accessible by road to most of it's neighboring countries like Chad, Nigeria, Gabon, Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
-Cameroon is home to the mysterious Manenguba twin lakes in the SouthWest region. Also known as the male and female lakes, they are blue and green colored respectively. The blue female lake which is shaped like an African map is the " friendly lake and inhabitants fish and swim in it while no one goes into the green lake.
    - The Northern region of Cameroon has many national wildlife parks like the famous Waza park but tourism in the region was reduced due to the Boko Haram insurgency in recent years. There are beautiful and unique rock formations in the area like Gorges de Kola and ancient styled huts known as Musgum huts, found only in Cameroon.
-Chutes de Lobe is one of a few known water falls that empty directly into the ocean ( Atlantic ) but there are many waterfalls around the country like the Menchum falls and the Eko Nkam falls which was Tarzan's home in the 1984 Movie Greystroke.
-There are white sand beaches in the central region and black sand beaches in the South West.
-You can still find remnants of the Bimbia slave port in Cameroon and the unfortunate history of slave trade.
-Although it's still debatable where they originated from, the migration of Bantu speaking peoples is thought to have started in Cameroon and parts of Nigeria and spread to Southern and Eastern Africa between 2000BCE and 1000CE introducing new skills in farming and industry as well as metal weapons.
-These are just a few interesting facts about Cameroon 🇨🇲

I would like to add that, Cameroon is sometimes called Africa in miniature, both in the diversity of its landscape and the diversity of the people.
It has all forms of landscape you can find in Africa: desert in the north, plateau in the mid-north, grassland in the west. third largest mountain in the world (Mt Cameroon) in the southwest, dense tropical forest in the east, and the sea & ocean in the south.
Diversity of ethnic groups include: the Fulani, bantus, semi-bantus, pigmy and more.

This is a beautiful film about a beautiful country! But it shows only a part of the truth. Why doesn't it say anything about the "almost" civil war going on in Anglophone Cameroon since more than 5 years? About innocent civilians and soldiers getting killed every day? About villages being burned down and children prevented from going to school. About the lack of democracy and the francophone government not being able to solve "the Anglophone problem" after more than 50 years. These are some of the wounds plagueing this wonderful people. I wish Cameroonians a better new year 2022 of all my heart!

@@TheAfricanScript Yeah! I've been living there for 4 years, and am still in daily contact with people living there.
And what I'm writing is not just my opinion but are facts you can read about in many international news sites.
But as I said, I love Cameroon and its people. That's wee6kly I'm praying that justice and peace will prevail!

just completed my ancestry DNA and the top 3 were Nigeria Cameroon Congo Benin & Togo. My people were sold off to the Americas during the slave trade and ended up in the southern part of the United States...we didn't ask to be brought here so we look back to find out about our African ancestors who made us who we are today.

Thank you for sharing this video. As others have indicated in the chat, I have recently taken the African Ancestry and found out that on my mother's side we are of the Tikar people in Cameroon and on my father's side we are of the Mafa people of Cameroon. Again thank you so much for sharing and hopefully, we will be taking a trip to see our homeland soon.

As a Cameroonian, I am here to say this country is one of the most stagnant countries in entire Africa. When you look at countries like Ghana, Rwanda, etc Cameroon has no reason to be where it still is today because God blessed it with a lot of natural resources. A lot.
