In this video, we discuss the Sony 16-50mm APS-C Kit lens. this lens debuted in 2013 and has been doing a great job for the past 7 years. I go over some features of this piece of "gear" and we talk a bit about some of its benefits and also my biggest problem with this lens, and how to fix it. For that, you'll have to see the video. I feel like when I film with this kit lens, the quality isn’t there! I’m assuming I have to modify the settings?
I did research and was suggested that the Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens attached to the Sony A6100 would work magic?
The kit lens is my favourite lens from Sony, it's crazy small and versatile! I love it! (I also use it for pro paid jobs ahahah)

I’m not sure what you mean about internet controller? That is a great camera, what are you going to use it for primarily?

This is the battery grip Vello BG-S6 Battery Grip for Sony a9 and a7 III Series Cameras, and this device. Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Sony Multi-Terminal. I can't remember where but i know I saw it some place. These are from B&H photo in NYC. Thank you for taking the time to answer and respond to my questions. I have subscribed to your channel.
@@MrCameraJunkie I believe (but could be wrong) that if the camera is WiFi cable or has Bluetooth(which I know are very different things) than it can be controlled by a hand held device. Thank you again for your help.
ok,great. the A7iii has the ability to control via wifi and the Sony Edge App. this seems to be an excellent setup. Sony's AF is amazing and you'll be able to record just about anything with that Kit!

The lens continually gets stuck and I physically have to pull it out. And this is a brand new camera. Is there any way to fix this? Or should I get another lens?

Hey man, thanks for the vid. I am stuck between the sony zv1, m50 and 6100. You say the kit lens can be okay for vlogging or talking head vids ? any video with examples ? i was going to go with the sony zv1 until started seeing vids for the 6100 and the things it can do. Plus the lens change ability although the sony zv1 can do the same for a wider look. eeek. Any recommendations thanks !
I'm working on a video where I test the A6100 with various lenses to compare. But it's a bit time consuming lol. I don't know what your time frame for purchase but keep a lookout for that video coming soon.

Does Sony Alpha 6100 kit lens have telescopic lens?
No and yes, the 16 to 50 mm kit lens gives you the equivalent focal range of 24 to 75 mm.
So technically the 50 mm focal length from the kit lens is not considered telephoto. But with a 1.5 x Crop factor, a 75 mm focal length will give you a telephoto look with Sony APS-C cameras.
ive never seen any video with this lens and considered it stabilization as good. your car suspension took all the bumps. also the video felt like forever, i was surprised to find its only 5 minutes, maybe get to the point quickly, then you can add the extras later.
I appreciate the feedback, I believe my more recent videos I've gotten even more to the point. But I don't think that my car's suspension system is the best to remove all of the vibration. Not including the vibration of the vehicle itself. thanks again

Did you ever test the lens on a gimbal?
Not for this video, I have used it with a Gimbal, works great being lightweight and image stabilized 👍
