I could listen to your dad tell stories all day. A really good guy.
Thank you!
I watched this video several times. Really enjoyed it. I worked on my grandfather’s farm in mid-60’s when we converted from horse to tractor. Farmed 365 acres plus rental land with a John Deere 1010 and a 24T baler. Beef cattle and sheep. Three jerseys that we milked by hand for our use (grandmother made butter). Used a 49 ford stake truck to pick up bales. We had to learn a lot converting from horse to tractor and loose hay in barns to bales. Long days and hard work. I’m retired now. I still get up at 5am, watch your videos, and wonder how things would have turned out had I stayed on the farm.
Can’t have too many tractors. Your Dad’s a great storyteller. Combined with the great video and editing, it makes for a thoroughly informative and interesting video. I recently purchased a 15 year old Kubota tractor, very clean, low hours, garage kept, one owner, etc. Paid almost what it sold for new. Good tractors are a sound investment.
They hold their value!
I think i am about the same age as your father, i am farming as well and i like listen to you and your father, i love it to learn something about the american way of farming. It is so different to our european way.
Tell your younger brother he should really finish what he started. Definitely restore that tractor.
I was a John Deere mechanic for several years, and I can say the John Deere 4020 was one of the most iconic tractors ever built. I don't think John Deere ever thought that the 4020 would still be in use over 60 years after it was introduced. When you do it right, it last....... and I think that's why your farm is going to be around for a long time........a long long time.
You are correct Sir.
Never drove one but they sure have been a staple on a lot of farms!
@@GierokFarms Ever dairy in newyork where i live had or has a 4020 i love them!
Like the video, we have a 686 also one on the best tractors we have
Thank you, they are nice tractors!
That a hell of of a line up of tractors for you here size. We Got a 6120, 2955, 6430, 7410, 4440, 4760 and a 766. For 140 milking cows. Can't wait to sell the rest of the equipment. Like the stories behind all the tractors.
Thank you! Sounds like you have a nice one your self!
I like the M and Super MTA! All your tractors are nice!
They are nice thank you!
Your dad's a natural infront of the camera! Really like listening to him speak! Awesome video!
Your tractors are your life’s blood. My granddad was glued to his tractor seat except when opening gates.Your choices of brands is knowing how to care for and maintain under shelters.Your father is awsome with his story tales and history.
Roll bars on tractors are a must
A 1964 ih cub low boy comes real close to my heart.
I was really surprised to see the amount of tractors you guys have for your size of operation. Loved the story of your great grandpa and the tractor that your grandpa bought. Hearing about the other equipment would be cool too
Thank you I know I enjoy hear about my grandfather!
Every tractor has a story. Thanks for sharing your tractors story.
Thanks for watching us talk about it!
Regarding your straight M, check the front bolster for the date it came off the line. Stand on the right side, look between the 2 front wheels and it will be stamped vertically on the front of the bolster. You might have to take a wet cloth to make it more legible. The same with your SMTA; however, it should read "1954". This is the second time I have watched this video which is very well done. My dad owned 5 Farmalls and 2 ACs over his 27 year farming venture. My favorites = the Farmall 450 (with a Fast Hitch) and the AC WD-45. Thanks again for taking the time to film your stable of tractors.
This was one of your best vids. Just love hearing the story behind each machine. One develops a feel or connection with any of these creations......and the stories make it fun to hear about. Keep up the great work gentlemen.
Nice tractor line. Yes please do another video on your machinery
Thanks mike we can plan on that!
Enjoyed seeing the Arnold’s equipment sticker on the 686. I know the Arnold that owned the dealership in St. Cloud that would have sold the tractor originally
talk about a small world!
Thanks for the video! Listening to your Dad is great!
Keep the tractors simple to maintain. You know what you have. I agree they all have certain points you love, and makes them last. I still love that OLIVER. I think you shoulld restore the farmall !!!! Do it do it lol i strongly loved the history of them. Yes show the rest.
That was fascinating… I could listen to your Dad talk about tractors all day long.
I would love to see machinery video. We had Oliver and International tractors. All tillage was international. Hay equipment was New Holland . Chopper blower and unloading wagons were all Gehl. I love your shows.Don’t be afraid of showing more of the dairy cows and all the problems that can show up with higher production. I did most of the treating to save on vet expenses. Problem at the end of the day was keeping up and having the time to do it. You guys have a great channel going. Excellent videos. Keep them coming.
I love the old reliable machines. They can usually be patched up in a hurry in the field with baling wire or a bent nail. No computers to stop you. Thank you for sharing another great video.
Thank you!
I've really been enjoying your channel. I grew up on a small dairy farm in Southeastern minnesota. Now, I'm nearing retirement, but still gravitate to CZcams videos involving the family farm. Thanks, I think I just found my new favorite CZcams channel.
Equipment videos are always popular, be it tractors, pickups, trucks or implements. You both do a great job, your dad is a wealth of knowledge.
Thank you Todd!
Thank You for the tour. Your videos are like setting down to talk with a Good neighbor. God Bless you all 🇺🇸👍🚜
Thank you Jack that's a really nice compliment!
I am surprised by all the narrow fronts on such hilly ground. U must all be A+ operators! New fan down by Sparta!
Nice equipment, I might be biased but that 1066 is the best one you have! Lol
Thank you!
Thanks for this video. As a former farm boy, it is interesting to see what you have and how it works in today's farming world. Grew up on a JD centric farm in the 1950s and 60s. Remember one (maybe two) Bs, a 50 a G and a 730. There had also been a Case 10-30 which was a belt tractor for the Allis blower. We also had a Ford 8N which I probably spent 100s of hours operating. We worked with two brother neighbors who were IH Farmall guys. I spent considerable time on their H, M and 300 during silage season running wagons to the silos. Sorry for all the reminiscing. Watching the farming and tractor videos on YT has me wishing I could get some tractor time again.
Thank you for the machinery tour.
I love tools video and tractor videos will we get to see all the equipment still thank you guys for awesome video
Thanks again for watching them!
Great lineup, and I really like how you guys keep everything inside out of the weather. Your whole farm is kept up just the way I like to see it. Reminds me of how it was when I grew up on the farm. We were a lot smaller scale with Farmall's and Oliver's. I like listening to your dad and how knowledgeable he is of everything. Great video as always!
Thank you Paul!
Great idea to have the drone footage of the tractors working, especially the Hay cutting footage.
Great video guy's.
My 1947 M has that’s some “weld” spot behind the carb as your MTA.
It has lasted talk about weird!
Another great video. Thanks .
I would love to watch another equipment tour. By far my favorite channel, always looking forward to the next video. As for the M,would love to see her get a makeover.
Thank you that means a lot!
My 1951 John Deere A , same age as me, mows grass all day long, stored dry, oil changes every year. Quality! It lived in Ohio before I had it shipped to me in New Hampshire 5 years ago.
Your correct about not storing everything in one bldg.
Never park your bombers together out on the air field.
Remember Pearl Harbor 🇺🇲✌️
Love how you and you're dad can tell a story about everything. Many other farming channels don't do that. Like you we have always ran different brands over the years. Now we run Ford and Oliver's, before we ran minneapolis Molines and Oliver's. We have had an odd deere and Allis in the herd too.
Thank you Bill they all have their pros and cons!
Great video yes show your implaments always loved Farmalls H and M and cubs only have a Ford 1520 now tractors are great 👍 George
Those are solid old tractors thanks for watching!
My uncle always farmed with red and my Dad always kidded him. Dad was a mechanic for John Deere before he went to farming. Guess what color I grew up with. Nice video I really enjoyed it
I'm a new subscriber and I really enjoy your Dads input. It's a great thing to be a ble to listen to him. Thanks.
Love them all…! I grew up with a Farmall H and M….
Thanks!
All I can say is you fellas make some of the best videos I've seen, outstanding job !
good to see how your father looked at you in the last few minutes
Thanks Rob I didn't even notice that!
The 1066 blackstripe is an absolute stud. RED POWER!! Love those tractors and George is correct - an open station is much better. That's my favorite among your tractors. The Ms come in second and third. :)
Nice iron, your dads equipment is spot less. I love the log winch video.
Thank you Troy!
Great video!!
Wow, now that was an interesting video. You and your Dad sure know your equipment. Yes to more equipment tours. Also maybe an overview of your farm acerage sometime? I grew up on the farm, northern Iowa, with Farmalls H and M and Olivers, row crop 77 and a 1750. I never miss one of your videos, thanks for making them.
Thanks for watching them!
Here I had been watching the channel and for whatever reason I had no idea how close you were to me. Hello from Hampton, MN. I go boating on lake pepin all the time. Had no idea you're so close! I enjoyed seeing that 686. I agree, about as nice as you'll find!!
Do what you want with your videos. All your tractors look in good working order. Very conservative in my opinion. John T.
My dad started with a Steel wheeled Farmall Regular and horses (He hated horses) in 1946. He bought an H and later on an M.
It's crazy the amount of H and M s sold back in the day!
Definitely want to see the rest of equipment and restore the farmall I also want to see more corn picking with the beautiful 686 I am from Pennsylvania me and my cousin are making our you tube about our farm
Thank you for the tour and history of your Tractors I find your videos very intertwining best wishes from limerick city lreland
Great watch from Steve in New Zealand. Farmer
Wow that's quite the story about the 1650. Maybe the original owner is riding along with you guys all the time looking after you
That could be!
Yes more equipment thank you. John Humphrey
My favorite tractor has always been a restored Farmall M especially those with a narrow front end.
I like the narrow fronts too.
I'm loving this tour
Thank you!
Cool stuff, cheers.
Fascinating stories. Buying a tractor that was the demise of a person's life. I don't know if I could get on it right away but once you have it, you use it. It is a great reminder to remember to be careful whenever you operate any tractor. I'm in the group that would opt to restore the M. I also like that you have tractors of every flavor. They all are useful.
Glad you enjoyed the stories!
cheers from Prince Edward Island .. Canada ... just found your channel and love it
Restore that M, you will be so happy! Green and red go together very nice, thanks for sharing!
7810 with the duals on looks sweet
Seeing the tractors and equipment you have on the farm is great but the stories behind them is the best part!!!
Thank you Bryan!
Love the mix of iron, gotta do what makes sense for your farm
Hey, I enjoyed your tractor tour and learned a lot. Your father is a great storyteller! When I was a kid helping on the farm. It was Ford tractors and New Holland everything else. That was a loooong time ago. I miss it everyday! I’m from North Carolina and it seems most everyone nowadays use round balers. I don’t think I have ever used a round baler. All your shows are GREAT! Thanks!
I'm not a farmer but I really enjoy these videos. Enjoyed hearing about each of these tractors. I can see why this is a successful farm.
Great videos! Thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks for the tour. I’ve watched every one of your videos and never realized you had the 7510
It's one of the main tractors on the farm!
Really enjoyed this video, loved the history of everything. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I the IH's are still original paint most like to leave as is, myself I like fresh paint. I have a 300U and a 504 wide front and I repainted them both.
I've been waiting for this video! Thanks!
Awesome to see the line up! I think our farm is up to 8-9 tractors to with about as many different makes as well. Like your dad and your self say, it’s not the colour that matters, but the serviceability and parts available to keep them going. Great video thanks for taking the time to make it!
Thank you!
I bought two low hour 10 series tractors sight unseen from Kuhl Eq and love them both. They do know tractors
Dad's a walking encyclopedia about each tractor's history; great to hear! Yes to the machinery tour!
Well here I am to help spend your $$. All the parts your dad was talking about needing if you took the cab off the 1066 - steps, battery trays and covers, and flat top 2 and 1 light fenders are all available newly manufactured by a company out of Mich. called Steiner tractors". I and my cousins have used their parts many times when restoring our old Farmall's H,M,SM-ta, 400, and 450D. Found their quality very high and the prices while not cheap they are reasonable. Some of the fender parts may only be primed /unpainted, but a few rattle cans from your local Case-IH dealer should do the trick. Also I believe the black stripes were '76 models but that not important.
Great line up of tractors, not sure why you would start sanding on a tractor and stop can’t believe your dad would stand for that 🤷♂️🤣🤣
I would have loved to have the tractors you have when my dad was Dairy farming. We were milking around 65 cows and had 250 or so acres and never had a 4wd and until we started chopping haylage we farmed with (2) 674's and a 544 gas. We then bought a case 1410 and then a IH 886 for chopping. We did rake for some time with an Oliver 60.
Thank you for the tractor tour and explanations. Nice set of Farmalls ! ,that 686 is an absolute jem !!
Just found your channel. Gotta say I love the videos with your dad showing all his gear and the stories along with them. Especially the barn he built. Thanks for sharing !
Great video! Love hearing your dad talk about the past. Nice collection.
Yes to a video of full equipment lineup. Great channel. Great people on it
I drove the first 7800 Deere that came into our dealer. I was in high school and they let us use it for our homecoming parade. It sure turned heads because they just came out!
They are nice tractors!
Love your guys videos very nice farm
And equipment
Well done, your dad does a great job of telling all about each piece. Our farm followed along really close to yours until you went green, lol. We switched to all case IH back in 83 and have really good luck with all of them so far. We have 5 maxums and pumas currently, most have over 5 thousand hours. Thanks for sharing.
Great video! I was drooling over your 7810, that tractor is in such nice shape!
Thanks ; Nicely done !
Hi guys, very interesting video. I really like how your dad explains everything. Yes I look forward to hearing about the rest of your equipment.
Would love to see every thing on this farm! What ever you make a video of I watch. Really nice farm your family runs!
Thank you for the farm tour !!! You have some awesome tractors on the farm.. very cool and knowledge
Enjoyed seeing this video of your equipment tour and some stories behind the tractors. With all the pollution control on the new tractors sometimes the old tractors are more reliable and less headaches.
That hillside hitch is for plowing, on hillside the plows drop down
Great video as always he have great tractor
Agree with everyone, you and your dad make a great team.
Great video
You guys should restore the Farmall M. My dad has a 1974 1066 that is are mane work horse and when we did tillage we had it Dinoed up to 210hp for tillage. And I'm also a proud owner of a 1948 Farmall M.
They are nice tractors!
i grew up on a farm in wisconsin and i was not a farmer myself but i still like to see the farms going and equipment. very nice video.
Keep them videos coming please, always enjoyable and very informative
Thank you John!
Love watching your videos. I grew up on a small farm and love seeing it still done like we did.
Thank you!
