If you're curious, the lack of Tamatoa in this video is because William edited it and he made a vow to never use Tamatoa images for some reason. I respect the commitment to the bit so I left it like that
Based William
Atta boy Schaff, giving your friend respect for his creative vision even if you don't understand it
I like it. It adds a comedic element for the review of a very comedic film
william kind of fake tbh
I think it compliments the low budget charm that this movie has. I see the vision
Schaff has run out of Tamatoa images and has begun just using purple crabs
what happened to tomatoa??
@@topraktubay4223 hopefully getting ready for moana 2

Either Schaff got hit with a C&D from Disney, or his 3.2 terabyte Tamatoa images folder has been fully exhausted.
The answer is in the pinned comment
"Go rent or buy Hundreds of Beavers right now"
Me, not understanding the instructions: "Hello, wildlife sanctuary?"
"No, no, it's to support a low-budget film, not to eat em or whatever you guys are keeping all the beavers for."
"What do you mean you only have five beavers? I specifically requested hundreds!"
“Listen, all I’m telling you is if you’re letting a talking, purple crab in a CZcams video tell you what to do, I think that says plenty about your mental state. Now, with that being said, how many hundreds we talking here? Seven? Eight?”
It took me so long to actually understand that too lol
oh great heavens the beavers are plentiful
The Semiaquatic Rodents of the genus Castor are multitudinous

@@tnt_real Hello, trinitrotoluene.
Beavers! Hundreds of them?!?!?
absolutedly proposterous!
That's as many as 10 10's. Whether that stands to be an awful thing or good; We'll just have to see.
Yes. Hundreds of beavers.
IMAGINE THOUSANDS

Strangely enough, when someone at my screening asked the director what influenced him the most for this film, he said it was Super Mario Galaxy, not even an open world game like breath of the wild or anything lol
How did that game influence him?

I'm pretty sure that was a joke
if that screening was at Santa Ana, then you must've heard my older brother say that.

The film is from Wisconsin but similar energy

1:25 Instructions misread, I spent eight thousand dollars on two hundred beavers and there is now a dam in my living room
that means there was enough water in your living room to warrant a dam. id say the beavers are a win in this situation
I love that your comment admits fault on your end and not that the instructions weren't clear or anything but you simply misread them
Dam, it sounds like you should be-versed in the instructions next time.
@@starcreeper6660You speak nothing buck tooths. From now on, I’ll stick to branching out my mindset and stop knocking on wood and barking up the wrong tree to get my points across. Plank you for the advice.

I never thought I'd see the day: A schaffrillas video without Tamatoa. I hope he enjoys his vacation. Also, Ryland Tews is truly one of the greatest directors of our time.
Same, I was like "Wait, something's off about that crab.
His is. Lake Michigan Monster is one of my favorite movies ever.
This movie is directed by Mike Cheslik, and was written by him and Ryland.
“Go rent or buy hundreds of beavers!” Is hilarious taken out of context.
Anytime someone tries to even insinuate that a Looney Tunes film wouldn’t work, I can point at this film as proof of their completely lack of ambitious or imaginative thought.
I can’t believe that Elmer Fudd got a movie before Wile E. Coyote did.
Glad to see you're still sane after the Megamind 2 review!
This movie restored his sanity
Beavers?

I hope that hundreds of thousands of beavers indulge in a copy of hundreds of beavers.
Im really enjoying the random purple crab pictures
Hey Schaff, I’m not watching this video until I seee hundreds of beavers with my dad but I’d like you to know that after watching Lake Michigan monster together, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the day we watch the next project together. Thank you for having me be closer with my dad schaff
This is a quintessential Dad Movie in the best of ways
How many beavers are there? Because of the fact that Schaff there are more than 6, I conclude there are uhh around 12 beavers idk.
They don’t have proofreading where you’re from?

I work at an indie theater in ny, so I got to see this for free. My friend and I sat in the front row, and I laughed through the entire thing. This movie is a master class in escalating a joke
gee willikers that's a lot of beavers
hot dog! that's alotta beavers
Even though nearly everyone who watches this video will watch the movie on streaming services, seeing Hundreds of Beavers with a packed house at my local indie theater was one of my favorite big screen experiences post pandemic.

NO WAY THIS IS FROM MY UNIVERSITY!!!
I watched this with friends on Discord and I was not prepared to laugh as hard as I did. I knew it would be ridiculous, but I was caught off guard at how masterful the classic cartoony comedy was. It was impressively well-made with what they had and I commend Mike and Ryland for pulling it off.
Me and my friends got the pleasure of singing the back-up vocals for the opening song in the film and I could not be happier that my first movie feature credit is in a film of this passion and craft!
I saw this on its roadshow tour and it's seriously worth watching any way you can. Extremely creative and hilarious. Video game enthusiasts will recognize a lot of "game" logic in the gags and overall story structure
The greatest plot twist in this movie is that there is ACTUALLY 100 BEAVERS. AND IT WAS BUILD UP SINCE THE FIRST SCENE OF THE MOVIE
take notes, disney
Got to see this in a theater with a Q&A after where Ryland beat up a Beaver after the screening 10/10
I was caught so off guard when he just started talking and there was no “funding for Schafrillas-“
Instructions unclear, bought hundreds of beavers.
They’re destroying my house please send help…
Thanks for covering this. It needs all the exposure it can get!
I'm looking forward to the sequel, thousands of beavers.
*”USE THE DEHYDRATION GUN!!!”*
Honey come quick he's reviewing thousand of beavers
honestly, just from the few clips in the beginning youve convinced me. ill still watch the video to learn abit more🎉
I saw this in a theater with 400 people packed in and haven’t been in theater where the whole room was dying the whole time
1:25 I bought hundreds of beavers now, and they are chewing on my furniture.
Beaver vs Ghost Army
Did you eat Tamatoa, Chazington?
I'd honestly love to see more videos with the whole team saying how they feel about a specific movie! It's interesting to see you all have such similar opinions on this one movie that it makes me wonder how similar your opinions would be on other movies. Great work, guys! I'll check out Hundreds of Beavers a little later.
the shoutout to lake michigan monster at the beginning reminded me: your video is how i started dating my boyfriend. it made me suggest it as a movie and we had such a good time we've been together since :)
It’s a good day when Schaffrillas Productions posts
I appreciate the fact Schaff finally discovered the purple clawed Vampire Crab. (I kept them as pets for years, especially during the period when I first started watching Scaffrillas in High school!)
Warning this contains spoilers
I'm going to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by fur trapping... Space
As a Canadian, this movie sings to my soul.
Hundreds of beavers, yet not one Tamatoa
I found this movie by accident because I wanted my friends and I to go to a cinema. Went in blind, loved it, and now we're just as obsessed as you are
They put more effort, passion and love into this than Dreamworks did in Megamind 2
Is the sky blue?
That's a low bar
*Insert obligatory “no views in 32 seconds” post here*
Surely, there can't really be hundreds?!
Edit: OH GREAT HEAVENS!!!
I really hope I can be able to legally watch this. It seems like it’s not available on Apple TV, nor CZcams in my country.
I really don’t want to resort to unofficial means with indie films like this. Is there any confirmation of an international release, at least to rent/purchase on digital platforms?
Have the same problem and my vpn won´t let my bypass this either. Kind of stupid that it is region locked.
@@supperwolf indeed. It’s not like it needs to be localized. It’s a digital product, that doesn’t need to be dubbed, and which I can just watch with English subtitles. It’s really annoying there is no legal way to be able to watch it.

I saw this movie at the 2023 Omaha Film Festival and got to talk with one of the filmmakers. I cannot believe the amount of work they must have put into the making of this absurdly fun movie.

This video is more important that the brain rot shorts I was viewing previously
"Go rent or buy hundreds of beavers now" You got it! I'll probably get better prices in Canada though.
Saw this in a local theater with some friends. One of the funniest films I have ever seen, we were guffawing the whole time. So, so good
I'm glad you made a video about this, this film deserves the recognition and I'm lucky to have seen it in theaters
I saw this at IFC a few months ago and it was genuinely one of the funniest things I’ve ever watched, they even had Ryland come out at the end (clearly drunk, but in a good mood) and wrestle a bunch of people in beaver costumes. So happy you’re making more people aware of this masterpiece!
That sure is a lot of beavers
21 seconds ago is crazy
I just watched and men, i love the use of running gags is genuily the best part xD
The creatvie ways of how he used on his advance is magnificent
Happy belated birthday, Patrick. We miss you and Chris. ❤
I met this director at a festival my film screened at. Super cool seeing you review this!
When I saw Letterboxd themselves sing the praises of this film in their Watchlist This column (for under-the-radar releases) I knew this movie was gonna be special. Haven't seen it yet but I hope to soon!
Also since this premiered at a festival in 2022 but went into wide release in 2024, this is eligible for 2024 Year in Review lists.
hell ye haven't shown up to a schaff video so early ever
I had the pleasure of seeing this in an independent theater. At the end of the screening, I was laughing so hard I literally could not stand up
I want to see a like for every beaver in this video, also I literally have a nickname Beaver (in slovakia it's Bobor)
Why for a second did I think it was called "101 Beavers"? xD
Hundreds of Dalmatians?!
9:45 preciated seeing and hearing from the team🙏🏾👏🏾 great touch
Really shows how independent films sadly don’t get a lot of media attention in comparison to more mainstream blockbusters that come out around the same year.
theyre screening this in Philly tonight. i think im gonna go see it
Schaff, have you watched Robot Dreams yet? I would love to hear your take on it
Please tell your first friend he needs to breathe through his nose or get a tissue before he starts recording. He sounds as if his nose is pinched or has a throat full of mucus.
That's your takeaway from this video? Dude, some people just have a nasally voice. He sounds fine. Why so needlessly and pointlessly negative?
@@artyb27 Dude, I'm not being negative. I'm leaving a critic, dude. That is the purpose of the comment section, dude.
you showed a scene of what looks like beaver sherlok holmes and I think I know what they were going for in that scene.
I haven't watched the movie but it rang alarm bells for me.
I would be willing to bet 5 bucks that this scene was inspired by Monty Python and the search for the Holy Grail.
It makes too much sense.
The pose is heavily reminicent of what the police do in that film, when 'investigating' the murders. The fact that we see a 'modern' detective in a setting that he doesn't belong into.
And while Monthy Python was very heavily baesd on oral comedy, like the loony toons in their early years, they dominated the scene of whacky life action films.
You know, my first thought whenever I watch a movie is: "I wonder how many beavers are in this movie?". Luckily, this movie answered that question right in the title!
@SchaffrillasProductions Yoooo thank you for introducing me to these movies! I can't wait to sit dow with friends and watch them :) As thanks I come with a recommendation: Sam Raimi's "Crimewave" (1985)- lesser known movie that needs to be seen by more people. It fits into the "live action cartoon" category perfectly and it just absolute insanity from start to finish in the best way
The title is amazing and very intriguing. It’s also a setup and punchline in one. Dare I say, it’s a perfect title.
R.I.P. Tamatoa.
Oh shit, it's William. Damn.
I just finished the video and just realized that I never questioned the purple crab once
Instructions unclear, im now in a very mr poppers penguins situation, except,,, with beavers
Saw this movie a few days ago!!! It was transcendent in a way I can't really describe, so glad you decided to cover it
Guys, I think there's hundreds of beavers!
