The key different between the 2 teams is that the moment MCI has the ball, the entire mid field and forward players 4 + 3, establish the formation to attack by running forward at the same time to get open to receive the ball. MU had the ball also, but the player who had the ball couldn't find any team mate open to receive the passes.
MCI has organized themselves into attack formation every time they intercept the ball. Not the case with MU. They could not string more than 3 passes at large.
They is no team attack formation for MU at large. The MU players can't get themselves open to receive passes when they intercept the ball.
They play sitting ducks. As soon as they have the ball, they gave it to MCI to mount another attack again and again.
Only 6 goals from MCI is a good fortune for MU. I was expecting 10 just after 23 minutes into the game with 3 goals.

@@WICKEDMAN85 Man United played terrible defense. Gave City ridiculous amounts of space (just look at the goals). No need to disrespect other leagues like people disrespected the Bundesliga. He was not seeing the space in the Bundesliga that he is getting in the EPL so far. He also saw a little more physical play in Germany, which may have led to some of his injuries. Maybe the EPL will adjust. I remember all the talk about how he and Lewandowski were stat padding in the Bundesliga.
