Who Am I?
I am a Management Consultant in real life but in my Bootlosophy channel, I make videos about boots and all things boot related. This channel posts reviews of boots, unboxing of new boots, and follow-up reviews, and in doing so, may explore the philosophy of the brands from time to time!
I have owned boots for decades, but to be honest I have owned them as functional pieces of footwear. It wasn't until early 2020 when COVID struck that I started online shopping for boots to an obsessive degree. I love the aesthetic of boots and I love finding out more about how they are made. I now own an insane number of boots, and one day I may sell some of them (just not right now).

Having a boot obsession is so weird to me and once I picked it up and can't put it down. It's a strange subculture but I love collecting boots. Thank you Teik for indulging us with our weird obsession few can understand. ;)
Bordon fan here. IMHO, the Bordon last is at the heart of excellent comfort and fit across their entire range. Outstanding. Tukano, Wanes and Isidro all benefit. I'd also point to the leather shank and heel counter enhancements as indicative of their dedication to the bootmaking craft. A real step up. Finally, the wider range of leather options is getting very interesting. The promised W&C tan latigo in the upgraded Tukano in the next batch looks amazing. Oh and by the way, Bordon makes my left and right boots in different sizes to fit my funny feet.
I’m still breaking my first pair of Bordons in that I got mainly from your recommendation along with aerosurfer’s interview with Andres. I have a few pairs of GYW boots, but the Bordon Tukanos are the most comfortable out of the box and they break in quality footwear that I’ve ever had. The last in wide sizes and using Grayle’s sizing suggestions is spot on for me. Thanks for the great content and suggestions!
Thanks for another great video, Teik!
I'm waiting for a pair of burgundy Tukano from the October MTO - very excited to see them!
Fantastic review that helped me greatly. Thank you!
Love those wedge soled chelseas! Good find, thanks for sharing
Thank You for sharing!
Great video. Definitely interested in supporting this newer boot company, seems like a great value for money.
Very cool Chelseas! Look super comfortable
I really like these boots. I just watched Denim Darlin reviewing her Bordon Tukano boots, they looked great quality. I think they must be on top of their QC now. Just love that orange lining. 😁👍
I don’t usually like Chelsea boots but those look pretty badass. Thanks for the video!
Just ordered the new batch! Tukano V2 in Wickett and Craig Tan with a studded itshide sole love the look and the new construction build sounds amazing! 3-4 month lead time no big deal
I have a pair of Wanes boots on order in burgundy. It takes a long time for them to produce the boots, but I am hopeful that they will be good, and worth the wait.
Really nice shoes
Chelsea boots are by far my favorite style.
That’s crazy. Chelsea’s are by far my least favorite style (for me). I mean I think they look good, just not for me 🤷🏽♂️
@@aradoran I didn't like the first couple pairs I tried. I had to find the right size and brands for my foot. Chelsea's have to fit perfectly! If not then it will be a miserable experience.
one small regional boot-maker that i support is Adelante out of Antigua Guatemala.
Must try them
Sir, I really enjoy your videos. Very informative and well balanced. If I may, how does the Tukano last compare to the Elston last on your Oakstreet Bootmakers Trench boot? The Elston is a perfect last for my feet. I’m interested on jumping on the mext Bordon MTO, but I don’t have a frame of reference. Thank you so much!
Quite close, but the Tukano can be more snug in the instep because of the Chelsea (no laces) cut
I see on Bordon's web site that they upgraded the Tukano to 2.0...
He eliminated the double midsole at the front. It’s now only on the back half of the boot
My Nicks had very janky stitching on the lug side with a few threads skipping the gaps. By now they’re worn away, though
Hi are bodon boots on the same level as grant stone? Value and quality wise?
Very nice and good looking boots! I would love to see you talk about a pair from Brian The Bootmaker (Role Club).
Kinda pricey!
@@Bootlosophy 😂...yeah. A bit out of my price range for sure.
Hi Teik, what size is your Bordon Chelsea? I’m thinking about ordering a pair of their Chelsea. Thanks
I took a 41
Nice review, and I especially like the jump boots,do you happen to know if there is a company out there somewhere that makes a boot from the last that was used on the original Corcoran jump boot?
Sorry I don’t, but I thought Corcoran still make them as reproductions
@@Bootlosophy oh yes they do,but I was just meaning any other type of boot, from that last, thank you for replying.
The Genuine Leather is my only issue at least they are being Honest about the lower quality leather. I like the Chelsi wedge sole if they were 200$ - 250$ I would try them.
Not sure what you mean by "Genuine Leather". These are waxed suede same as Charles F Stead but from an Italian tannery. It's not imprinted "Genuine Leather" you get on cheap handbags.
