Being in sales for 40 years, you did a good job of not biting the hand that feeds you. Don't get me wrong I love your program, I'm a subscriber.
When I return to the USA, I'll be coming to see if your 6 ft. 2 to purchase an rv. I like the geo pro. 👍
This type of comparison is extremely helpful and super informative. Its also very balanced. I really appreciate all the research you do to give us facts and figures instead of just opinions. Keep em coming. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Josh, I'd love to see more of these comparisons, frankly. IMO, you're pretty balanced in your presentations, though, I'm sure I've identified your favorite "kid(s)." You do a heck of a job in the vids and they're appreciated; know that mi amigo.
Y'all Be Safe!
TY for the input
Josh, YOU set the standard for honest, reliable, expert information! Thank you for another very helpful review. I have always depended on your crystal clear knowledgeable information.
I appreciate that!
Like knowing the differences so I can make an informed decision.
Thank you Josh - we're snowbirders between NJ and Florida/Texas (visiting the kids/grands). Looking for something to keep us self-contained instead of hotels (covid worry) as we travel. Love your information and always your sense of humor as we make our choice. Thank you for your videos.
I appreciate simple nonbiased comparisons. It all comes down to what the customer is going to do with the trailer and what their needs & wants are. Thank you
I do like this type of series. I'm in, keep em' coming
Really like your videos man. I knew nothing about RV’s and have learned a lot from watching your channel. Not close to buying one but these particular one helps me better understand the manufacturing from 2 that have become favorites for me. Thank you!
Thank you for doing the comparison, your dealership and style is very helpful and getting a comparison of campers that you carry is appreciated.
Our pleasure! Thanks for joining in :)
Really well thought out comparisons, the ceiling and shower height points I thought were important (and thanks for showing your picture for scale haha)! Would love to have the freedom of an RV or trailer someday, and videos like this are always helpful to determine the key features needed! Travel is the main driver behind my financial goals, so it'll happen some day! Great video!
Glad it was helpful!
I really like the video and it made me happy i called a week and a half ago and put my name down for the first jayco micro feather you showed in the video that y'all get. Looking forward to it!!
That's awesome!
This is a comparison that makes sense. Thanks Josh
Your one cool informative funny nerd! Kudos to be setting the standard. Your respect when touring the plants is admirable.
I try!
Well done. Lots of fair and useful information. Keep'em coming.
This is so timely, thank you Josh! I thought we had settled on the Catalina Expedition, but now......
lolol -- also in a similar class for sure, but these two brands I had received SO MANY comparison requests.
I just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate your videos. You had a HUGE influence in helping us choose our first TT...:-)
OMGosh! Thank you so much :)
What did you choose to take home?
@@JoshtheRVNerd We have chosen the Rockwood 2104S. It had some things we did not love but overall was our favorite. I wish that it was more accessible with the slide it, but I have room to put it out during load in/out and we are destination campers so it did not matter as much to us...:-)
THANK YOU, I have been hoping for these 2 units reviewed together...
Thanks for watching! We'll have full videos for both to give you some extra info!
I not only appreciate your sense of humor, I appreciate your candor, knowledge and genuine good will. Thank you for sharing this information with us, I certainly was worthwhile for me!
Thank you :)
This is a good platform for people who are shopping between a couple different brands or models. Well done Sir. Thanks
My pleasure!
Live in California now grew up on Byram lake in linden not to far from you guys definitely want to thank you for all the videos it has helped during these times of rv shortages. I made a deposit on a geo pro today thanks to the content you guys make
comparison like this is far more helpful than single product review!!! thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! I think they're best digested together really. These comparisons are *SUUUUPER* time consuming to make, so I'm glad folks are enjoying them
Thanks for the comparison! Love the video and all of the great information you put out there. Would love to see more like this.
You got it!
Love this so much! I love your reviews and appreciate you showing the differences vs better or worse.
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the comparison. I am glad that you put the video out. I learned a few differences between the two models.
Glad it was helpful!
Josh, your video's are the best, bar none! I'm coming to Coldwater to shop for our new RV because of you!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Ty for keeping it positive Josh. I've actually been getting rid of negative channels recently. We don't need negative right now. 🙂 Hagd.
This is a great informational video. This is what all customers do on their own as they find 2 or 3 trailers they like, then do their own comparing without all the knowledge you have.
Glad it was helpful!
Josh, you did a great job of walking a fine line there, professionally done. I had been hoping for this information, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Welp, ya nailed it again uncle Josh! 😄 Fantastic video. And yes, I would love to see more like this. Honest, fair, down to earth real talk for “comparison” shopping. Oh, and ‘50 Shades of Camping’? Maybe another video. On another media platform. 😂 Many thanks again for the vids! Be safe, stay well, live happy! 😎👍🏻
Great information! This answered questions I didn't even know I had!!!!
lol -- wow. That's awesome compliment! :)
I like these kind of videos from YOU. You don't seem to be trying to sell one over the other. Just the facts and let the customer decide what works for them. Saves a lot of time for the buyer trying to find out what you already know. Thanks.
That's the idea. They really are both great units. They're quite similar. They each have their odds and ends where they stick out. Overall they overlap more than anything
I am a fan of such comparisons, and I think you do an excellent job and that is why I subscribed to your channel.
Welcome aboard!
I've learned a lot from Uncle Josh the RV nerd... and of all things I've learned... It's Ryan, between you and me if you lightly camp, get a Rockwood, if camping is part of your lifestyle... Get a Jayco!!! Superior build quality and 2+3 year warranty.
Hoping to get into the camping life next year and your videos are great research!
We look forward to working with you when you're ready!
Love these comparison videos, especially how you do them: "Here are the differences and their implications, 'better' is subjective."
That said, Jayco came to play! A lot to ponder here, which is a great problem to have. 🤔🤔🤔
Some great info, these two are in my top 5 list, haven't purchased anything before a first time RV camper buyer and glad all this info is attainable:) Love the storage on the Jayco, but there's a lot to love on the Geo Pro as well.
I'm torn between the two ... my wife loves the Jayco 16RK And when we saw the micro ... she liked that lol .... Love this kind of vid!! great job
You did a wonderful job. I like hearing about the differences. I makes me consider more things and will halp me find a better fit for me
Thank you very much for making the comparison of these two rigs, Josh! We are in the market for a rig like this for a combination of boondocking and campground stays; most trips being 1-2 weeks at a time. Our timeframe is expected to order a rig just after the new years, when we have our last child's college paid off.
So far, the geo pro/e-pro has been our leading model. Other models considered are the Flagstaff micro lites and Rockwood's comparable model, the r-pods, and the micro minnie's. Thanks to your review, I will definitely check out the Jayco's.
We only have a Tacoma tow vehicle, so we have to be conscious of weight. And, our basic requirements are either a full time or Murphy bed with walk around access, a secondary place for 1 member to sit if the other were in bed, and a dry full service bathroom. 2 additional capabilities are them to have a lift capability for our national forest and BLM lands, as well as a level of boondockabilty.
Thank you again, sir.
Nice comparison, good job, they’re both great TTs. I own a GeoPro 19QB. I appreciated that the GeoPro came with solar and inverter right out of the box. This gives you a great deal of flexibility in picking camp sites, certainly one a reason to buy a 20’ TT and not a 30+ footer. A side benefit of solar is that you don’t need to stay connected to shore power when the TT isn’t in use, solar will keep the battery fully charged, not to mention times I’ve experienced power outages at campgrounds. I like the front window in the GeoPro, adds light to the camper, ... I doubt if you’ll notice heat loss through the window unless you’re camping in high 30’s degree weather.
Valuable worthwhile episode.
Would like to see one or two on the single axle and double axle toy hauler campers.
Great effort as usual.
Thank you.
👍I really appreciate the comparisons!
As a beginner in the travel trailer world, your videos provide me with a great deal of information. I think the comparison video is an excellent idea! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Good for you. That was nice of you.
Hi Josh, love these comparisons. These two are on my list to actually buy.
Tell ya what -- we'll get you set up with a "two for one" purchase special
It's easy as long as you aren't watching that price tag too closely *LOL*
Thanks for watching :)
Please continue your comparison video. They're very helpful. Thanks
Hey Josh, I watch a lot of CZcams RV videos and I appreciate the way you provide the specs of a unit in a light hearted way. It is easy to differentiate between facts and opinion and any of us should understand these are sales videos in their basic form. But you have a way of presenting them without the feeling of a timeshare sales. In the end, all of us should do our own research . But I find your videos very entertaining. All in all, I don't think us viewers could ask for any more. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. Keep up the good work.
Thx so much, Bruce! -JTRVN
Enjoy the humor. Keep it going.
Thanks Josh 👌 very informative video. Keep up the good work 👍
Great video. I just purchased my geo pro 20bhs. Absolutely love it. My biggest concern with jayco is build quality. They got alot of bad user reviews. That was main reason I liked the geo pro. Seems alot higher percentage of good reviews. Warranty in the rv world not really usable with the major back logs at dealers to get work performed so rather less warranty but less need for warranty
Competitive options are always to be considered when buying anything you care about. It's healthy to have it Josh.
Love all your videos! I do like the comparison video. Would like to see more.
Thank you! Will do!
I know this is an older video but really great comparison. Thanks for sharing
Good & Fair Assessment! Great Job!
Thanks for the vid. Appreciate all the info...
Glad to help
Good comparison Josh! Thanks for the video! We are close to the same height, would appreciate seeing you standing in a Geo pro shower for comparison.
Enjoyed the video, very informative. Would really like to see more of the comparison type.
More to come!
Love your input. You are the best
TY
You rock!
Ty for such an informed video. Great work!
Always a pleasure
I love your comparison videos
This was super helpful, thank you!
Our pleasure!!
I liked the comparison video. It was respectable to both manufacturers and it could lead them to further improve their products by such comparisons. Competition is always good for the customer. Good job Josh, looking forward to a hands on side by side video like this. Also, construction details behind the walls is always welcome! Not everyone can tour the factories. 👍🏻
Great point!
This is exactly what i was hoping it would be. Y'all don't offer inferior builders (you have said so lol). So, the minute differences really help! For instance, i could use oven, interior height and load bearing roof the most of what you covered. Decision easier without having to run between two models on buy day or realizing later I missed out on a feature. Thank you and yes yes, more like this as you havr (lol "free") time.
I love you vlogs there are awesome and do informative.
TY Maik!
Comparisons are very helpful - thanks
My pleasure!
I like this idea. It is easier to norrow done the models, before you even get there.
Great video. I just purchased the Jay Feather Micro 171BH. Can’t wait to take it out.
NICE! Congratulations!!
This was very helpful even though it’s several years old! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! It still mostly holds up, though some things have changed
Looking forward to the 199mbs review. Might consider selling my 17bh, for the 199mbs. Thank you for all your hard work. Your videos are the best. 😁👍
Can't wait for them to land. I'm going to be buzzing :)
Thank you very informative! For some reason I’m drawn to the Jayco maybe it’s the fact that I can bring all my toys with me when I go camping ie. My kayaks and bikes or just they way the Jayco looks.
I ‘liked’ this, but I doubt that I will be watching any other comparison videos because, having done quite a bit of research, these are the two models that I think will most meet our needs. However, it’s a great service, thanks, keep doing what you do.
I appreciate that!
Really well done and respectful of both products.
TY. They're both great I think. Oddly the feather micros ended being an interesting "in between" a Geo and a Mini Lite
*WOW* !! *LOVE this comparison video* !! *Would like to see MORE comparison videos on bunkhouse trailers* !! *BOTH the Geo Pro and the Jay Feather Micro are great trailers* !! #HaylettRV
Great idea Josh , and these are the 2 I'm interested in , curious about the suspension in them , great report
Same stuff there as I understand it. I'll know for sure once production models roll in here.
Great video. I’m not in the market right now but if I was this is the kind of video that I would want to see.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Josh! You answered all of my questions I had comparing these two. Cannot wait to buy the Jayco!
Awesome! Thank you! From Haylett RV of course, right? :)
Haylett RV As long as y’all deliver to Texas!
@@Westerntrailboss We sure do! And we'll include a free 2 liter of Pepsi for you to throw away as well. Coke is categorically the superior cola of course lol
Excellent comparison! Very informative 👏
TY!
Love the comparison. I’m in Texas and plan on traveling full time and wanting one that is equipped for cold weather so thinking I will have to travel north to purchase so helps so much helps to start shopping from home
Glad it was helpful!
Timely review. I just viewed hot springs AR RV show. Loved both TT and wanted a side by side review. Perfect. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Which one was the "Winner" for you btw?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Jayco! More storage and I liked the floor plan better.
Josh, Some of the best videos I’ve seen are side-by-side comparisons. Often there just isn’t opportunity to do these due to dealer inventory or the sales person trying to push one brand over the other. Please keep doing these. Not just for towable, but motorized too!
As I have opportunities I will try to do more "break downs" -- which I think is a better what to describe this
I like the comparisons
I really appreciate the info!
Glad it was helpful!
Loved this. Do wish you were able to have a walk thru when talking about them.
When I recorded this the Feathers weren't actually physically built yet. I always to compare things on hand
Could you also throw in Cougar and Freedom Express to the mix? This was great. Exactly what I was looking for.
I saw that. Right after I posted my comment. Sorry! I agree with Aloholara about the nets in the Geo Pro. You spend all that $$$$ for nets. Really! Keep up the fantastic information your awesome!!!
No worries! Thanks for watching and joining in the discussion!!
would love to see and hear your comparison on Geo Pro 15TB to other trailers of this size..
Very, very, useful. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful! We should have our first feather micros at the end of this month from what I see on my inventory reports from Jayco!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Can't wait to see the one with the Murphy Bed. My only complaint about the Geo-Pro 19FD is that the Murphy Bed is a full, and not a queen. If the weight is too high on the Jayco, however, we may have to figure something else out. We are one of those on the edge with the tow vehicle and want to stay somewhere around 3000 dry just for towing comfort.
I like the comparison 😎👍🏻
I love your reviews.
Glad you like them!
Like the comparisons
Nice work Josh. Please do more of these comparisons. Great presentation.
PS. keep the jokes
Plenty coming! We have the start of a playlist of them here: czcams.com/play/PLUT5NkY-l88zukyiKhrCNqdwawrbltxl4.html with more on the way!
i love this kind of objective comparison
TY. I plan to do more stuff like this, but I need to get actual trailers in stock. I don't like 100% of all this being "classroom style"
Much prefer to get my hands on some campers.
Thank you for the comparison. We need more of them.
I have been trying to compare various brands and models using what the manufacturers put on their web page. I am looking for what fits my needs going forward. Only one manufacturer even lists the 2021 models. That makes comparing even harder. Then, when you compare the various models within the various manufacturers it gets even harder to compare apples and oranges. I know the limits of my truck and bank account, but applying that to what is available is mind boggling. Henry Ford once said, you have a choice of colors - black, black or black. Get my point? Keep up the good work. Keep the comparisons coming.
Thx Ronald! Jayco is usually one of the last to update their site, but seems to be one of the first to get it done this year. Drives me nuts how MFG sites are always out of date.
Love your approach.... would be very interested in doing business with you some day !!
Good work here, Uncle Josh. I think you’ve talked me into the Feather micro. Great job brother!
This video is a little aged but still has some good comparison points. Glad it helped!
@@JoshtheRVNerd yeah I looked at the date of it and discovered that. However, I just wanted to advocate for your thorough comparison. You do a great job uncle Josh
I love this video and I hope it becomes a series.
Also love the good news about Rockwood getting into the 12V fridges. At least GeoPro, assume NoBo will follow soon. Please make it happen with the Mini Lites and Freedom Express.
For future video, what about bunkhouses with bike doors and outside kitchen. Preferably 25ft long, 30ft max. My SUV can tow 9,000 lbs and 705 lbs of tongue weight.
I won't be able to make videos for specific towing requests like this as it's a bit too narrow focused for now. Perhaps in the future. As I have time I hope to record a few more "Let's compare these things" sort of videos
These two RVs made my short list, so I am really excited to see the final specs on the Jayco. One significant difference between the two models we are comparing (Geo-Pro 20BHS and Jayco Jay Feather 199MBS) is the size of the main bed. Geo-Pro is 54 x 74" and Jayco is 60x75", basically a full vs. a short queen. I’m 6'6", so every bit helps. Plus, the Jayco has the Murphy bed option. Hoping the Jayco ends up staying under 4,200lbs in dry weight!
Great point! Thanks.
If you don’t need the bunks the Geo Pro 19FBS has a 60” by 80” bed. I’ve seen easy ways to make it bigger by not sleeping east west and sleeping north south and using a piece of plywood and some cushions for your feet.
Me too I had scratched Jayco of my list.
The one pictured in the video is the 166FBS, not the 199MBS
Good to compare. Could even talk ground clearance, floor material, cabinet construction, counters, sink size.
Late to the party but I love the format. No need to trash one brand or the other. Simply point out the differences… because when one brand introduces a new feature that turns out to be popular, other brands follow suit.
I always feel like if you (or a brand) has to tear down another, then you’re likely lacking in value yourself
