Steam railway. Dovrebanen 100 years. Part 2

The 17. of September 2021 it was exactly 100 years since the Norwegian king Haakon opened the Dovre Line, from Otta to Trondheim.This was celebrated with a steam train from Dombås to Trondheim, with an overnight stay at Oppdal, and a return train for the Norwegian Railway club the next day.
We meet the locomotive no 271 at Hamar, and Oppdal, and follow the train over the Dovre mountain plateau to Dombås. Here it was decided to keep the steam locomotive in front of the train further, through the Gudbrandsdalen valley to Ringebu.
From here, the El 13 locomotive took over and the steam locomotive was running, connected to the rear of the train, to Hamar.
We say goodbye to the steam crew at Ringebu.
The train continued with the El 13 locomotive from Hamar to Oslo.

Fantastisk! Min bestefar jobbet på de fleste stasjoner på denne ruten. Bla som stasjonsmester på Vinstra i min oppvekst. Han var læling på Hamar stasjon da krigen brøt ut og jobbet som konduktør på Dovrebanen under krigen.

Have you heard of biofuel. Margarita? A steam locomotive can run off of that and is cleaner than your car. My channel icon has a locomotive that is green and clean.

No 271 was used at the Gamle Vossebanen heritage line last summer. Otherwise it has been used only on a few rare occasions the last twenty years
