The knicks are making all the right moves
We have real grown-ups running the Knicks team now, not a bunch of impatient knuckle-heads who throw the bag at stars who are well beyond their prime. Leon and company definitely playing chess. Beyond being a cerebral player, many people don't even realize the significance of drafting a left-handed point to integrate as the backup and understudy to Brunson. Running sets for your offense and the way picks are set, screen and roll and off-ball motion - there will be so much continuity with how the second unit is run when compared with the starters.
and people were saying these rookies won’t get signed and won’t get any playing time. Wait until they see what Ariel Hukporti has to offer in the Summer League. Haven’t been hearing much about Kevin McCullar Jr since the draft though.
Hukporti is a beast, we stole him at pick 58. He's better than Sims already lol
McCullar is going to be a great addition to Knicks tough hard nosed gritty defense minded player

@@dorkasaurus_rex yeah man, Knick fans just saw that he was picked last in the 2nd round so they judging by that. Not knowing that Ariel Hukporti was supposed to get drafted early in the first round 2 years ago but got injured. so many wrote him off. Knick Scouts kept watching him and he made a full recovery.

Nobody said they won’t get signed. Number one any player in the first round is guaranteed a contract. So Dadiet was getting a contract. But neither one of them is gonna play. They will be developed in the GLeague.

@@WillyKillya The second part of my comment didn’t post. I was saying that we let most of our players go before they actually become something or they hit a ceiling. Quickley and Grimes were traded and I wouldn’t be surprised if McBride doesn’t make it to the beginning of the season. We did the same with RJ, KP, Frye, Ariza, Knox, Shumpert, Hardaway Jr., and Ntilikina. I can give a laundry list of draft picks who either hit a ceiling or get traded too soon. Hope this is different though.

@@Bottles93145 I mean I personally don't count most of the pre Leon Rose moves as part of this Knick's era. Most of the guys you listed are still not doing much, and the ones Rose traded got back better value. BTWYou forgot obi toppin, who does seem to be coming up, I wish we would have kept him.
I mean I guess your point still stands that the Knicks haven't necessarily developed a lot of their draft picks, but they have a young championship team, and now the draft picks don't have to contribute right away and that along with a different coaching staff will be good I think.
Relax peaple….in most cases guys that are drafted late is cause nobody sees what you think you do.

IMO, McBride never had the chance to be a "playmaker." !!! He plays impossibly good defense and I don't care about the rest. Kolek with get the crap beat out of him. His going to be a hole on defense, a burden. OVER-RATED.

Absolutely not! He disappeared when his Duke team needed him. He seemed fine when they were winning when they were down see (NCAA TOURNEY) he did not play well. Plus we don't need his off the court headaches as it pertains to his gf and his disconnection with his family as a direct result of the gf shenanigans. Our front office is smarter than that!
