Orlando Robinson was available and the Rockets picked him up off waivers from the Heat. The Knicks could have used him as a backup and wouldn’t have the need to trade for anyone.

Knicks play half court offense with floor spacing. Lopez is perfect as he is 36 and does not run up and down floor. However, he’s getting paid 23m per yr and Knicks need to match that salary. Giving up 1 first rounder for aging C is not ideal but maybe trade Sims and 2 second rounders plus absorbing salary from Bucks
They can sign and trade precious Achuwa like the did Shake Milton and add the picks etc for the center
