    Just discovered this channel, some incredible, incredible advice and very well explained.
    I'd picked up the front blocking technique fairly naturally when learning double fronts once told to jump with my feet a little ahead. I hadn't clocked to apply it to backwards tumbles as well - no wonder they travel so far back.
    I'd been thinking about quitting gym for good recently & it's quite difficult without a proper coach but I'm excited now to try out all the techniques from your videos. Thanks Nath

    Thanks for the tutorial. I'm somewhat familiar with it, but you demonstrated and explained it very well.

      There is no right or wrong in terms of the timing of the open it depends on how much height and rotation you have; if I hold it for longer I often over rotate!

    Hey question, I feel like it really hurts my ankles when block due to the angle I land my roundoff. is there a way to fix this or just let my ankles adjust?

    • @learngymnasticsonline5341
      @learngymnasticsonline5341  Před 7 lety

      Yep that's fairly common; lots of stretching and strengthening of the surrounding muscles and eventually your ankles will get accustomed to it!

      +steve rodgers it's not considered good form but it probably doesn't have a massive effect on the efficiency of the somersault
