Level 90 Alarak Prestige! ALL Talents! [Starcraft II Co-Op]

A new “Prestige” system has been added that allows players to play through the level 1-15 progression up to three additional times per commander. Each time a player activates Prestige with a given commander, they will unlock a unique Prestige Talent, which can be used to change the core gameplay of the commander.
This video is a demonstration of the prestige talents Alarak currently has in Starcraft II co-op missions. The changes are LIVE, so you can try them out yourself!

I noticed that Jinara is much more polite when Alarak is in the coop mission
She knows her place.
First of course she does that it's her highlord when you're serving your leader do your best to know your place but the taldrim are powerful but extreme a$@holes to other people
If not Alarak may sacrifece her as supplicant:)

11:29 For the first prestige, Artificer of Souls, the bonus is capped at 100%, which is 10x the 10% per Supplicant, so once they're maxed, there's no use in sacking any more. If they remove the warp-in bug (which I'm sure they will), but remove the cap, that would the hotness. Even so, as it is, those Wrathwalkers deal 240 dmg at 1.09 attack speed. That's 220 dps! They 3 shot any vanilla tier 3 unit, and 1-shot most things. Would like to have seen a couple Vanguards for aoe support.
Notice how most of the destroyers were destroyed well before the second DF came out? and how you can only have one mama ship at a time
Shadow of Death gives you teleport every 60 seconds as long as your mothership survives. It's great for moving around slow ascendants.
I've noticed a lot of people underrating Alarak's P3 - it seems a bit strange but the purpose of the talent is not to provide a permanent air army to pulverize all your enemies with. It's there to provide a 60 seconds teleport that fixes one of Alarak's main issues - his mobility.
I do realize that most people would likely prefer the former though so maybe there's a missed opportunity here. Maybe instead of having the DF completely unavailable in P2, they should make it so that Alarak can build Destroyers / Mothership as a "normal" part of his army instead, which would throw players who wish for an actual Air Alarak gameplay a bit of a bone.
Agree 100% my dude, out of all of them this was my favourite prestige. Alaraks end army is one of if not the strongest imo. But its mobility was garbage. a permanent 1 minute teleport is incredible.
Well it's called the "Death Fleet" so I can guess why people want it to kill everything that comes near it.
I'm inclined to agree - the point is to give you permanent air support, which Alarak doesn't have.
I do feel, though, that they're being a little overcautious with it because it's free units. It'd probably be more elegant if the prestige added the Stargate and Death Fleet Bacon and allowed Alarak to build up a Death Fleet the old-fashioned way.
The anger generally stems from the fact that players who used Mothership (and to an extend Vanguards) have fond memories of them annihilating the enemy... This Alarak is just a watered down version of the campaign units that they were hoping to play with again.
That's why I propose officially changing the name of Death Fleet into the Taxi Fleet since that's the only usage it has.
Let's face it, this prestige sucks butt and it's not the only one. Dev team didn't think these things through.
But the perk says quite clearly: Disadvantage mothership mass teleport 60 second cooldown.
So obviously Blizzard thinks the extra mobility is a Nerf.

47:40 Daaaamn! You just got robbed, son! Using the Deathfleet again simply *replaces* the existing Deathfleet. You DON'T get a second set of units. That is some bullshit, right there. While the permanent half-usefulness Deathfleet is -almost- cool, the fact that you can't get 2 of them makes that Prestige a downright insult to the player.
Having 2 death fleets at once doesn't make sense though. It's like having 2 golden armadas. Something isn't right.

I mean you can still "cheese" the first prestige. Make a bunch of supplicant and have your army attack Alarak
Or have them step forward and attack them one by one...
The way the bug is broken is in the fact that cancelling warp ins refunds your money. If the supplicants actually finish, you don't get your money back. So killing all the supplicants manually is both more time consuming and infinitely more expensive than paying 0 minerals for extra army power.
Artificer of souls also works on alaraks stalkers it combos very well with his ascendants cuz the sacrifice ability counts towards the prestige. its very nice if your just running a gateway composition
I see why people are hating the shadow of death prestige but let’s talk about one thing. The only reason people are mad is the void rays. They are paper thin and not doing that much damage. However the mothership is still kinda tanky. And now you can taxi ur units every 60 seconds. I like the permanent death fleet. Plus it’s the only way you get to play with motherships a lot in Co Op to my knowledge

So it basically means that u can only have 1, and another as a back-up I guess
no offence, but it feels super bad :( A bit like a joke even
this is stupid, because you will proably only have a single mothership, and a really nerfed one (since the destroyers almost always dies)
When I play Alarak I usually go for mech since my Ascendent aare like "I've decide I want to die" and charges next to Alarak into battle. Gotta give them the points for courage I guess
Now there is a reason to make other units when doing mass asscendants for the first prestige
usually i work with about 16 ascendants but with this prestige i go 8 and go mass wrathwalkers, so strong! or i just go mass wrathwalkers with supplicants and just shoot Alarak every now and then
Really you just need the Ascendants for sacrifices and AOE damage to protect your WWs.
I think in an ideal World you wanna trigger the sacs on the secound prestige with abilities from the ascendents not just sacs in order to maximize dmg

i think that the most good prestige with alarak is the impower me, this is so powerful. 50 seconds of impower me and after this ennds we must to wait only 70 seconds for another one. insane.
The death fleet had a cool concept, but to be stuck with only one death fleet, an extreme cooldown and reduction of life and attack makes this one useless, they should let the atk/hp normal and make the other units expensive, but this one like this is not good
In ptr they were multiple, but they still sucked lol

it gives Alarak the much need mobility his army lacks by giving him a 1 minute teleport cooldown. People are relying too much on the Deaths Fleet power imo. Mass Ascendants being teleported is amazing.
@@DarthStalkers it's just that the Mothership that players encountered in the campaign was wildly more powerful, Alarak's units are just watered down version of the good units players played with in the campaign and I think that's the primary reason why people are mad.
It seems that they fixed p1 warp-in - cancel bug. I tried today and nothing change, have to kill Supplicant manually.
Do you know if the P1 got patched?

how to build many pylons in one go?
Not sure why you would not use p3 tho its literally an upgrade over base alarak the only thing you use death fleet for is teleporting around and now you can have one permanently its a pretty decent buff for alarak.
can u tell how u set several pylons with a single probe? it is a kind of command key?

I got all of them. Shadow of Death is my best one. But an update fixed that part of redusing Heath and damage rate However And you can only use one. But that’s fine one is more then enough

lock and load & void trashing is good for swift exp. Otherwise, get a war chest, that helps out alot

I did not think of that. prestige 1. Canceling the Supplicant summon and it counts as sacrfice for your mech units.
I just hope they dont decide to be party poopers and remove that

It's clear that the dev didn't think some of these prestige through. Shadow of Death is another prestige example that has its advantage disadvantage cancel each other out.

i think p3 should be reworked, give alarak an ability to make stargates with destroyers and a single mothership (at a reduced cost of course, not the 1k 1k cost of campaign) and as a tradeoff maybe remove his topbar and nerf mothership's lance a bit?

"Why would anyone choose shadow of death?" Because it's fun, you get a permanent Mothership to annihilate your enemies with, granted it won't be as strong as the timed one but still. Fun concepts don't have to be meta concepts.

@@pg8971 you'd be surprised how many people would choose fun over the meta. I am one of those people, but don't say I'm dumb. I'm an average player in the game.

I just think you could still have some fun with the prestige, just on lower difficulties, but yeah 50% lower vitals and weapon dmg is excessive, the devs could have gone either route instead, either less damage or less vitals. That or lower vitals and weapon damage by 20-25 percent.

He gets like, 1.4mil xp per game on PTR with all the bonuses. In a previous video, his ally went from Commander lvl 1 to lvl 15 in one game. So it's just a matter of grinding 4 games per commander to get all Prestiges.

Hmm i disagreed with your thinking of the Death Fleets, as it's written you can't invoke more than 1 Mothership. So i was surprised when you tried to use another one ^^
But i don't play the same way like you do with Death Fleets. I play ONLY air and have some disciples with me and mass Destroyeurs to have a large effects permanent destructions and it works well but i'm OK, mobility is one issue.
But in Brutal, doesn't matter as we don't have to back often and we can TP to any ally buildings after 60 sec.
That's why on "points", i don't choose reduce cooldown of creating Mothership because it's useless once you got one, you rarely loose it unless you play it extremely badly :)

@@aaronwilliams8887 Starcraft 2, like it's predecessor Brood War, is a game with bugs. And occasionally the bugs go through and simply become a feature that the players learn to play with and against. This is why there's no hesitation to use a bug or exploit, as it's up to the devs to balance the game, not us. We simply play it.
