In this series, I'll be playing through all 30 missions on "Brutal" difficulty and complete all mission objectives on every map, as fast as possible. Mission order and upgrades are chosen to minimize the total time for the campaign!

I try this to pick a lot of Zerg air units and I have pick a lot of mutalisk to Kerrigan
I love how your mind controlled zerg are just magically immune to the artifact nova.
they gave them magic transponders

A little late but it actually makes sense. Part of the domination of the Zerg is through this hierarchy: Amon ===> Overmind ===> Kerrigan // Once the Overmind was killed, it was only Kerrigan while under the influence of Amon. This 'void energy' that Amon exerted from beyond the void was what allowed him influence/control over the Overmind and Kerrigan. The artifact specifically targeted this energy. This same energy would later be used to bring Amon back into the physical world and into a new body.
The Psi-Disrupter hijacks that psionic link, severing the individual Zerg from Kerrigans control - also severing their connection to Amon and the void energy he exerts psionically. Without that, the artifact leaves them untouched.
Of course, this is just a theory - but I think it is sound. Amons influence / touch / void energy is what the artifact targeted. The Psi-Disrupter severs that link, leaving them unaffected by the artifact.
@@Novocane23 How it works is there is no "mind control" or taking over/overriding anything.
How it works, and you can read this in the lab, it literally just uses the same types of signals the Overmind uses to control them. So the Zerg think the tower is the Overmind.
Kerrigan: "The Zerg can never be defeated!"
Raynor, slapping his control tower: "I'm counting on it..."
This is basically how the UED beat everyone in Brood war.
Matt: There's zerg everywhere! Time to use the energy nova!
Raynor: it's all cool, They're friends!

gotta love that you can use all the fliers against the enemy. I can just imagine Warfield thinking "that mad man did it, he somehow took a tactical disadvantage and turned into our key to absolute victory"

most hilarious way to win I've seen yet. The mind control towers are very micro intensive so not everyone can do it, but using the infinite number of mutas to kill Kerrigan is absolutely priceless 😂

Yknow, this is _exactly_ what the UED would have accomplished, had Duran was not around to sabotage it.
I hope they bring the UED back sometime. Such a great opportunity to make a new campaign from. This time they should bring the full might of the UED.

The Zerg wants more territories and planets, the Tal’darim are pissed and want to purge the dominion, some Protoss are beginning to form congruency groups that are against Artanis and his leadership, while the Valerian slowly and ever so slightly is becoming the second Mengsk, all of this causes a massive war which ends with nuclear annihilation on most planets................Then the U.E.D returns being lead by Helena (Dugalle’s wife) and take over the koprulu sector, then..........we have the return of Jim Raynor one last time, he’s now a bit older blinded one eye and is with Talandar (Fenix) trying to find a way to put an end to the U.E.D one.....last.......time.
I actually did not know that the control towers had the range to control brood lords!

Those cinematic only show us how clean the places are.
Even though it's main purpose is speedrun.
It makes you wonder why Raynor didn't just mind controlled all zergs and didn't overthrown Mengsk by himself xD
That’s because Raynor would become the very thing he fought against. Mengsk used the Zerg to overthrow the Confederacy, he then abandoned Kerrigan and a lot of his own forces, Raynor then left him with his dirty Empire, If Raynor did what you say he’d do, then he’d be branded as an evil person and plus he’d become what he was fighting against.
@@memecraft3188 and later on he fighted with Zerg allies versus Mengsk anyway.
Though I get the point but SC2 lore is what it is, sadly.

Lore-wise these things bound to have limit on the number of controlled zerg, range at which zerg break control and a maintenance cost.

I found this tactic during giantgrantgames' 3coop campaign run through of it through nightmare.

Now I wonder, what are the differences between mind-controlled Zerg and Kerrigan's? Why does the Nova destroy only the enemy ones? Why does it not affect your own, even though they share the same biology? Is it the heart, or the soul? Does the artifact, probably just a powerful toy, actually discern it? Hell man, I came here to relax and have a great time, I didn't want this!
Pretty sure the artifact destroys the psi connection between the zerg so when you take control of a zerg unit they no longer have said connection.
The answer is; it’s a video game and the developers didn’t think too deeply into it. The nova kills enemy units, not just Zerg.
If it weren't for brothers in arms, I'd say the artifact cuts the connection to Amon. Violently. But since it also can be configured to harm Terrans unrelated to Amon, it's just space magic.
Don't think too hard about it, it's just science fiction.

This is the definition of a Flying Blitzkrieg, using enemys strengths in numbers againts them. Ive always invisioned someone could conquer the corners of that map. This vid is just Gamer Ambrosia for me👌

i never used control towers, used psi disruptors instead paired with lots of bunkers (i had the nydus worms one because killing the worms before they spat out zerg was a lot easier imo)
Yep, the ground version of the map is definitely easier if you don't have the mind control towers!

after mission, Jim Raynor go with a group of mutalisks (not marines) to find naked Kerrigan. then when Tychus is about to shoot her, a viper abduct and neutralize him.
Won’t save him because of the killer suit,but I can definitely picture mutalisks flying like pigeons above Raynor and Kerrigan,walking into the sunset.
Funny that when the artifact triggers, the camera shows all that nothing being destroyed... with great details
