This is pretty much what I do everytime I play alarak:
A couple wrathwalkers and havocs
A couple stalkers
And a ton of supplicants so alarak becomes immortal

I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I just started playing coop and it's hard to find guides that aren't annoying. Most people out there are trying too hard to be funny or just don't plan what they're going to say so they keep losing their train of thought. This was easy to follow and very helpful. Do you ever live stream coop games?

I find these videos so endearing. A newer player who usually doesn’t try to get fancy, but with such infectious enthusiasm and energy for the subject. A great intro for new players to get them as excited as you are.
Ah alarak, currently my only hero with all 3 prest... cause i enjoyed him so much. Fast expand and a hero. Honestly, my issue was affordable anti air, until i got the ascendent ugrade, at which point i only made supplicants and ascendents with some havocs and warp prism for support. The ascendents are just crazy
They are stupidly broken, it's crazy. I know right! Too much Mirco managing for me, yet still powerful.
Detectors, like Havocs, are underrated you say? Well, they are actually a must for Alarak's Army cause they are the only source of detection. Emphasis on Detection. Brutal really tests your skills in SC2. More Enemies in their attack waves, then they have burrow and invisible units, so always bring a detector...
Not for the detection side of them but there main use to increased damage taken by enemies

I love alarack. He's so over the top it's wonderful
He hilariously prideful but not entitled. He learned the magic, worked up the culture, and fought for the place of highlord. He swings around his title of highlord around everyone but he's earned it.

Love your videos on SC2 CO-OP! I'm surprised you don't give more love to the WraithWalkers! Long range, heavy damage, air and ground, and best of all they fire while moving (that you didn't mention)! You can actually get them out very quick, and just walking them in and out of the enemy base line you take out defenses then walking away mows down the enemy units coming to attack, even hybrids don't last long!

Alarak is such an enjoyable monster. He is so deeply evil, and as you said, the most entitled person in existence. And he absolutely loves it. He is so entertaining, so fun… and I am SO happy he doesn’t actually exist because he would enslave and sacrifice all of humanity…

I really like this commander, not the one that you would main, but one to play fairly often.
12:42 Oh boi, you're going to like Prestige 2, that 50% cd reduction on empower me is very fun, not the most powerfull prestige, but you can't go wrong with it. Death fleet is either to push into bases but his real use it to be your taxi, but as you may already know, structure overcharge is already super good.
13:03 I used have chrono mastery as well, but as you get used to Alarak, you actually want to use structure overcharge offensivelly for the early-game until you get your army, it really offsets the chrono as this is also your defense.
Lets be honest here, all of his troops are just a battery to charge Alarak's true power
@@ToxicSpilll Not much for his mech units, but supplicants+ Ascendants tho, full ability spam.
About ascendants. “They’re always going to be weak, and they’re always going to need protection”. Meanwhile 10 overwhelming stack ascendant with twice the hp of an ultra, and can wipe entire army by itself.
Seeing those ascendants get absorbed is painful.

Great Guide! I haven't tried Alarak myself, I'm mostly Karax and Vorazun main, most random boys with Alarak I saw can deal on their own (they are mostly really aggressive on expanding and clearing missions too). When I'm Vorazun an Alarak is pretty good early defender so I can prep up my Dark Templars/Corsair or Mass Void ray combo if some missions ask for it.
Btw I wanted to ask you on which Server do you play on?

@@ToxicSpilll Ahaha, You don't need to I checked it myself, We can't really since if you switch regions your ingame progress will dissapear in the different regions other than your main one.
And by that I mean you begin your Co-op from Lvl 1 with mastery lvl 0
Shadow of Death and Tyrant Ascendant are such broken Prestiges. It all depends on which ability you favor.
Alarak has three most powerful things:Ascendants , wrath walkers , and No cool down Alarak.
so think you can talk about No cooldown Alarak

Something you also could address is the enemies you get by picking each hero. For example if you play dehaka you get atleast 40% of the time air terrans XD

From Germany, WOW! O know that spamming is not a great strategy... at all. But to me as a casual player with an ape-like mind. It is the only one I am capable of using effectively. LOL
Whilst I had the brain deficiency of a special needs kid I didn't know what a unit composition was and supplicant spamming pretty much just allowed me to focus on alarak surviving forever and dealing all the damage as that is where most of the damage in his army comes from works pretty well on brutal even against tough enemy compositions
supplicats are surprisingly affordable despite them being protoss though

am i the only one who can't take alarak seriously because of his voice?
This is wrong. Shadow of death is a completely different play style. You make 2 havocs, everything else is destroyers. 198 supply of destroyers en mass.
I typically do 3 forges for upgrades and build an extra nexus so i can cronoboost all 3. I don't build any combat units except for the 2 havocs, ms, alarak and mass destroyers. Its very devastating to cover an enemy base in chain beams.
Hate aoe air tho, its nasty
Any particular reason why you're making guides on Hard difficulty?
Trying to make it understandable for new players as well, normally I would play on Brutal difficulty.
