I've always wondered about whether it would be worth it to study photograhy or go to film school or you should give it a go and teach yourself (which is what I do). I agree, I think people don't care that much about your degree. I mean, you can get a degree and still be rubbish at it. I do think you will learn a ton about all the more technical aspects and get great feedback from experts. But especially in the U.S. it's very questionable whether you should go to school for something, because your tuition fees are HIGH. When it comes to photography/videography, I think it also depends on your creative eye. If you're very creative and talented, maybe you can make it and succeed without going to school. If you're interested in the field but you don't have a lot of talent, maybe going to film school or attending a photography study is a great idea. Thanks for sharing your opinion!
