- Woop woop new series - going to be covering years 1, 2 and 3 of a Fine Art degree to the best degree I can (what I can bloody remember and fish up from my documents).
I explain the four different units I did in my university which was the university of the arts London Wimbledon where I did a Painting BA degree (equivalent to a Fine Art degree, just more tailored for Painting students).
I hope this was helpful to those really looking to find out what a Fine Art degree is really like without hearing just straight up promotion from money grabbing universities lol.

When I went to art school, we had basic introductory art courses including World Art History, Design (basic, plus 2, 3, and 4 dimensional) and color theory, and Studio practices. Each discipline had introductory classes: painting (acrylic and oil), watercolor, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography, film, and writing/ criticism. After two years of full time work accomplished, a portfolio is submitted, and reviewed for acceptance to 3rd year level. A similar process is used for senior level acceptance. A final show/thesis is expected a nd plans for that is reviewed and approved before entering senior level studies.
Consequently one is prepared to enter the next step once graduation comes.
Great insight, thankyou.
