Ive owned 18 bikes, the 2002 fz1 is my last and current and favorite of them all, it's a do it all bike. Long range tank, perfect ergonomics, enough power when needed, able to swap out between stock and aftermarket exhaust unlike newer models incorporated under the tail or body, and no electronic garbage to fail straight carb one with the bike. Probably the only one out there that's capable of dual sport tires and still hitting 160 when need be.
I just bought a 2003 with a costume built exhaust on the other side and alot people said that's the first time they seen a double exhaust I get alot of compliments

Just purchased a 2001 with 17,000 miles on it and I love it.
Fz 1 is nice for long range riding .
