I picked up a project FZ1 last spring. It's been dyno tuned it has all the power you want right off idle. It's so fast it's scares me. It's fully uncorked man.
Hi , Great video, just saw it now , bought my FZ1 two months back ,very same as your one, top end power is ensane but so comfortable cruising at 80k/50mph , bought mine here in Ireland for dust + two stock cans, stock mud gaurd, turn signals. The sound and power, handling on this old reliable bike is better than a lot of de newer machines on the market now, this quality is hard to find it took me a year to get de one I bought ,big 😀 face and thumbs up for FZ1000
Beautiful bike. Had a hot rod Camaro jump on my butt. That was the first time I went past 7000, ran it up to about 11000 and had to pull into the neighborhood. Stopped and my hands were shaking. Warp drive to say the least. Once again, beautiful bike. Be careful sir. 😀
I just picked up a 2006 fz1 and I`m getting ready to turn 60....I`ve only had it for a few months..Got it reflashed by Vcyclenut and WOW....Going from 3 ZRX1200 bikes to this was a big difference...Good job on your bike...I may copy a few of the mods...
I have one a black Fazer from 2009 and it's comfortable on long trips. I am 167cm tall and weigh 67kg maybe that makes a the difference with you. I installed a LED tail light and a screen from Ermax, that is around 100mmm longer but now all the wind hits my head and because of that I have a lot of wind noise. I was looking to go back to the original but Puig seems to be good. I have a Puig on my Triumph Trident 660 and that's good as well. Two days ago I was sideswiped by a woman that had no patience for a short traffic jam, right arm bruised and bike is now by the towing company. It's a great bike the Fazer and I will repair it.
Consider steel braided brake lines. I have 90,000 on my 2006 FZ1. Been a great bike, only owner. Watch your rotor, had to replace it and stator at 70,000.
I was unsure about buying an 08 that I came across, but saw this video and as of yesterday I am a proud owner of a 08 fz1! Same beautiful red color. Where did you get your rear fender Delete?

I have a 2006 FZ1 . It has no fairing when I bought it . It’s a naked bike. Do you know where I could find the fairing to get put back on? Where do I get those handle bar end mirrors. The stock mirrors suck. I can only see my shoulders . Have to duck down to see over my shoulder. Other that that the bike is great and hella fast!!!! I love it.

2008 FZ1 here with 71000 Kms replaced the rotor by de "redesigned" one just to be safe and its an awesome reliable bike, runs like new😃👍

Some people say 1st and 2nd gen have the same horse power and top speed but other people say different, does anyone now for sure
Gen 2 defintly better. Better motor..better frame..forks etc. Way more like an R1 than the first gen.
In my mind no bike looks better. I just dont know why Yamaha did away with the red color after 2008.
