- So, I am a big fan of the Harry Potter oldschool video games that were released during the early 2000s era. I specially love the first three harry potter games and the fifth one. I am game developer and I thought that it would be a good ideia to remake some game mechanics from those games so that we can get a taste of what it would look like a remade version.
I am using Unreal Engine 5 with pre-made assets to boost the development.

how do you make broom flight
I think I used the custom fly movement in the Unreal Engine and did some basic vector math to make the broom move

Game companies today are so unimaginative. Here is a fan, one fan, able to produce a beautiful remake concept like this all on their lonesome. Yet companies will leave great games like this in the dustbin over time due to legal reasons or if it can be monetized long enough or not.
The OG Harry Potter games would be great for all new consoles but specifically I believe they would be a smash hit on the Switch console. I would love to play this game on my Switch lite. Thankfully Tomb Raider I-III received this proper remake treatment on the switch this month, so I don't see why HP cant get this chance especially after it's success with Legacy?!!
I liked Hogwarts Legacy, bought it physically on PS4, physically for series x, physically for Switch and even digitally for switch since I traded it in because I wanted to support the game as much as I could. Honestly it just does not satisfy my HP itch as much as the old ones do. I prefer the setting, time and place during the books. Its cool that Legacy is "unwritten" so its suppose to be your own thing. But sorry none of the characters in it really did it for me like J.K Rowling's fleshed out characters and world.
Anyway, if I was the company who owned these og games I would hire you and tell you keep working on this game. Maybe have the company who made legacy make a little office for the remakes like an investment. Maybe hire a few more people to help you but keep it to a small dedicated team and give you a few years to develop the games and hone your craft. Of course we do not live in such ideal times.

Coming from a guy who bought Legacy on Ps4, Series X and Switch I agree with your statement. While I liked the idea of an open world set in the HP universe in the past. My biggest gripes with the game was its dialogue and writing. Some really cringe and poor writing. Once I found out Rowling had nothing to do with Legacy that's when I said oh no wonder why the story is garbage! No good characters, no real choices or different paths like I thought there would be.
The og games may be archaic and out of fashion by modern standards but they were Harry Potter games. I liked to play in the familiar world I read about in the books.
I also could not stand the design of Hogwarts interior in Legacy too. Really lame and tedious.
Read my response to @JAMJOOMGAMER and you can see a little bit why someone may not be totally impressed with Legacy. I enjoyed the gameplay but I had a few problems with it myself as a Harry Potter property.
