I have a 2004 SE that I bought in 2022 & still have it now currently in 2023.I bought the car with 69,300 & now have 83,916.Great Car to drive,have/own.this car also has lots of power to it as well.

yes, it was pretty. had all the options, like the color display and leather and auto. that V6 has something like 290 HP, so it is pretty fast too! I am considering it for my first car

That whine that u hear is the timing chain tensioner going bad. It's a $2000+ repair unfortunately. I reviewed the reliability history of the maxima on my channel.

My neighbor is selling 04 Maxima for $2,500 with 138k miles, I didn't believe him but I find out that CarFax found 38 records on it, idk what those records are cause I'd have to sign up for CarFax to find out...It runs and everything seem to be working, should I go ahead and buy it?

Darnisha Johnson Yes. It's that bad. Any 'jerking' or 'slipping' when it comes to the transmission and shifting... SELL IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (NOTE : If you have the SL with the 4 speed transmission you should be good. It's the SE with the 5 speed transmission that is universally known as shit).

I_noSc0pedJFK It's your money... but I would be very weary. This particular car has a VERY, VERY BAD TRANSMISSION WHICH IS KNOWN TO FAIL.
I hope that you get one without problems, but, remember a transmission problem for a car this age will cost you as much as you paid for the car to repair.

I Just replace the transmission with only 120K (Kilometers) Also I am having problems with the Brake sensors/ Trac ctrl, if you dont have to buy this car stay away. Yes is 260 hp and beutiful interior but is a high price to pay.
don't know if you still have the car but just a tip. check out the rostra linear solenoids. the problem with the transmission actually has to do with the valve body, which controls how the transmission shifts. and once that gets fixed you won't have as many issues with things such as motor mounts and stuff.
intersting ive took over my dads 2005 maxima and im still driving 4 years after i took it over and it almost has 250k miles on it and it has never had any major issues.

The ‘07 was the first year for the CVT, this has a 5 speed automatic and there was an option for a 6 speed manual
They didn't add cvt's in this gen until 07.

A friend of mine has a 07 Nissan Maxima and it does have electronic problems, the transmission blew out on it too. He said to me “I’m thinking of selling that piece of junk” lol.
