    That's awesome. I love that you are getting into the ECU for a relatively simple repair instead of treating it like a scary mystery box. I'd be tempted to use your discrete part substitute method using higher power FET's as an upgrade to keep it from blowing again

    Do you think this scenario is related to a faulty ECU. My shifter had stuck in Park for not sending grounding signal to the shifter solenoid. The mechanic made a jumper now the shifter is good, but the transmission shift at a higher RPM. From 2nd to 3rd and so on, you have to reach the RPM to 3200 or 3300 and then the trany upgrade the gear. Do you think the ECU is what causing the trany shifts funky? Thanks.

    • @ADPTraining
      @ADPTraining  Před 5 lety

      Grounding the Sol is a bad idea. Your overreaching the trans to force a shift, another bad idea. You need to fix your problem. Yes, the antitheft could be the issue or the ECM or any number of other causes.

      That chip is the one that controls the iac. 99% of the iac issues are caused by a short which fries the chip. You should also remove the 15a fuse and use a 7.5a fuse to keep this from frying the ecm in the future.
