Meet the all-new Ferrari 12 Cilindri!
It’s Ferrari’s replacement for the 812 Superfast, and it may just be the last V12-fronted Ferrari ever released! But with that in mind, could it potentially be the greatest Ferrari ever released?! Let’s take a closer look.
Starting with the design, if anything it’s not exactly instantly recognisable as a Ferrari! Rather than look similar to the 812, Ferrari wanted the Cilindri to be modern and futuristic, with very few sharp creases or sculptured body panels. However, fear not Ferrari fans! There are still a few classic design elements, including the design of the daytime running lights, and the way the headlights wrap around the front bumper, similar to the 365 Daytona.
Step inside, and the interior seriously reminds us of the Purosangue - apart from the lack of back seats, of course! There are three screens on the inside, including one on the dash for the passenger. There’s also lashing of Alcantara throughout, but would you expect anything else from a Ferrari that will likely cost £300,000+?
Now let’s get to the centrepiece of the 12 Cilindri - the engine! It’s based on the 6.5-litre V12 from the old 812 Competizione, and it generates an eye-watering 830hp and 678Nm of torque! It comes with a couple of key upgrades over the old engine, including special aluminium alloy pistons, and titanium con-rods that are 40% lighter than the steel ones.
So what do you think - could this be the greatest Ferrari of all time? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Hi
First
Simply delicious italian pronunciation "Ferrari 12 Cilindri", I love it😍😍
stop with these weird titles and put the complete name in it
Ugly car
"last NA v12 ferrari". Heard this shit like a million times.
Better to lie than not in this case tbh
Hah😂😂😂
Last front engined NA V12, they'll keep making some mid-engined, limited variants with that V12
Who cares?!
It looks butt ugly lol, combination of like an audi & a tesla? Weird. 812 still my fav. wonder how the sound differs.
Ferrari: this will be last v12.
Also ferrari: heres another one
I wait for 36 cyl
This will actually tho due to petrol car van
Of course. Copying Lamborghini as always...

Na, the roma was way better looking than this, lol
@purwantiallan5089 Yes. I should've mentioned that. I agree with Konstantinos. The Roma is better looking

I have to write a paper every week for social studies class. My social studies teacher is a car guy. He has a segment of class where he asks what we did ours about to a few random people. He asked what I did mine about, and I told him about the new Ferrari and gave him some headline figures. He proceeded to play this video on the smart board. I was the coolest guy in class for the rest of the hour.
Hey bud! Your paper sounds neat. How did you approach Ferrari from a social science perspective? All the best from a political scientist.
The Last V12 - The Sequel
The beauty of the F12 Berlinetta will never be recreated
it can, ferrari is choosing not too...

I agree...the most beautiful modern Ferrari - F12!
@@user-xedwsg no it's cuz Pinin Farina aren't there anymore

I thought Ferrari said the PuroSangue would be the last V12 💀 then they bring out this thing
Good, please never kill the v12
I thought the 812 was supposed to be the last front engine V12
Because they've got engines left over
anything for marketing
its a marketing stunt so that people rush to buy it. Look at dodge for example, they have like 3 models that were supposed to be last* V8
You motor journalist are keep saying 'The last nomally aspirated Ferrari V12" , when F12, 812 and now. Ferrari must love you guys because of your free advertizing effort for them lol
That front end smacks of an early 1970's Ferrari Daytona

So much so, that's why I actually find it be more beautiful than its predecessor 😍
Yeah, Pininfarina is definitely missed...
Laferrari was not designed by Pininfarina.
Wym what happened to em
@@user-lz3zt8iq4fthey dont design the modern day ferraris
True, but IMO it's a much better effort than the 812, with some Pininfarina-inspired styling references, and the aggression and associated ugliness has been significantly dialled-back.
The 812 didn't use Pininfarina and it was beautiful.
Car designs are usually a hit or miss at the supercar level. This is a big miss. But the interior is worse than the exterior. Placing screens everywhere is not design, it's laziness.
This is absolutely GORGEOUS! Ferrari is second to none
The front of this car looks so old
Journalists have been saying “the last NA V12” for over a decade now
Yep. Since 2009 probably.
yeah i mean i think they will try and keep V12s as long as they can meet the emmisions standards or untill EU regs officially put the hammer down etc and say you cant make them anymore, we all thought it would happen sooner but the dumb bastards who decide these things dont understand that electric is not the future lol
The stupid EU laws are still limiting what they can do, while China pumps a bajillion liters of toxic waste into the ocean on a daily basis..
We are literally screwing our entire economies for nothing.
Shameful.
its like they are the ones who want them to die

The F12 Berlinetta will always be my favourite V12
550 maranello looks like business to me
You are right, this one is super ugly especially at the front
Me too,f12 and 550 maranello especially
I remembered a lot about the F12 Berlinetta, the cover star from NFS RIVALS, as well as F12 Berlinetta LMGT1 in NFS SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED.
Agreed. Had a chance to take one for a spin, the ecstatic experience one gets from it is genuinely up there with some of the most joyous events in my life, like birth of my children. I know it's just a car, but maaaan...
Digging the rear wheel arch " bubbles" in the rear wings.
This thing will be stunning in the flesh. A beautiful successor to the 812 Superfast.
The design team left the chat.
they left all of existence apparently, not sure what life form designed this sardine can.
its clearly in the style of the 365 gtb/4
how can you not understand this design is beyond me😂 funny little haters

Funny how over the last couple of days looking at this 12cy, the 812 is now looking more and more dated to me...and, I never thought that'd happen with its replacement since the 812 is a rolling piece of high art. Well done, horsemen.
Them daylight runnings are from a Honda insight 😂
Oh look it’s another video where Matt makes himself look like he’s seen it in the thumbnail but it’s just him reading the Ferrari provided copy
In my opinion, It is done well enough that it doesn't bother me like it would with other creators. The pace, editing, and information being provided can hold my attention better than others. But yeah, doing that shit is usually pretty cringe.
I don't think Ferrari invites them.
Damn, he completely fooled me
He does this all the time and won't bother
omg the desing on that ferrari its just hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so good looking
It's desing is over-rated.
I've never been a huge fan of Ferrari in terms of their looks, except for the F40 and the recent SF90, but this car is a work of art rivalling my fave looking car, the Lamborghini Veneno. The spyder version looks even better, and looks stunning in that gloss red.
I like it. I can definitely see the 365 Daytona at the front end.
This front end IMMEDIATELY screams "Daytona" and (therefore?) is SOOO much more elegant than the ugly brute 812!
@@nonick8490 812 has a place too. Not equally but both are looking good.

That front end is straight up Daytona, love it!
This looks great. One of the best looking cars in the market today.
The return of Daytona. What a great design!
The front looks OK, yeh like an early plexiglass daytona , the rest looks terrible ! Ferrari the supposed pinnacle of car design should be looking forward in design , not back the rear end is a complete disaster

Ferrari: This is the last N/A V12
Also Ferrari: ANOTHA ONE
Ferrari never ever said that, in fact they always stated that they will fight and do whatever they can to keep the naturally aspirated V12 in its purest form.
The Zonda was like that, Ferrari still have a long way to go.
They never said it before
New models comes by and old models goes… and still i haven’t bought one 🥲💔
Best looking Ferrari in ages. Shame about the rims though (on the coupé at least)
I'm a big fan of the design, apart from the black bits on the rear end but paint to match those and it'd be great.
Love it. Immediately reminded me of the Daytona.
Ok, well, that’s quite spectacular. A very nice nod to the Daytona at the front, and a lovely rear window treatment. Nice.
Reminds me the Maranello for some reason. Looks great
Brand new model has the same performance as the outgoing model, what a time we live in
I’m not even going to complain - thank you Ferrari for your continuation on the v12🙏
I'd like to see a generations Drag Race between the F12 Berlinetta, F12 TDF, 812 Superfast, 812 Copetizione, and then this 12 Cinllindri. I've always loved and preferred Front engined Ferrari.
Imo looks waaaay better than a revuelto. Well done ferrari.
Idc about the design but its good to see that brands like ferrari , lamborghini and aston are putting v12s in todays emmission control era

The front end really reminds of the Daytona and even before Matt said it... and that says a lot

It looks like honda civic
That’s the point
Great video Mat!
Its the last of the last before the last one 😂 but the 812 still looks amazing 🔥🔥💯
The headlights look a bit like a generic honda hybrid econo box, but the rest of the car looks spot on
If anything the Honda copied the Daytona
I started to be worried about Matt not mentioning his GT3 RS. But then he did and I got relieved. I thought he was sick or something.
Next: N/A V12
Next after next: N/A V12
I love the design, apart from the black bits front and back. It looks better all in black. Trust me, I configured one on Ferraris' website... A boy can dream, after all
I can't wait to see one in person, that modern Daytona front gives me butterflies.
What I can see from this new design of Ferrari, it looks like the 365 Daytona at the front, while the tail light is similar to Roma.🤩🥰
Really miss that classic look & Ferrari make it so nice. Well done Ferrari. Please bring back all the glorious classic Ferrari into this modern era.😊😌
A manual trans would make this insane. Love it
F12 made you feel like they couldn’t do better. 812 was a 2023 Dodge Viper (not a bad thing). This thing is perfection.
People bemoaning the fact that Ferrari is announcing yet another "last" V12, don't know car history that well. Manufacturers do this all the time. Ferrari know their customer base, what hypes them, the emotional connection. All of you complaining, I'm sorry to say it, but are you the target market?!
Thank you. Finally a smart person amongst this flow of m0r0ns
Finally a constructor who understood that ... SOUND MATTERS!
No. They have always known that EVs are not profitable. So they used the "latest V12" as marketing BS and people fall for it.
@@costafilh0 EVs are for men who sit to pee
Love it. Proper Ferrari, V12 in it's rightful place. And, what a looker. (Including the exhausts, Matt!) and little details like the 365GTB/4 front end and rear haunches, even the gear selector gate that's reminiscent of the old open gate change that Ferraris used to have.
I bet that V12 AND other petrol engines will still be with us long after 2035. Aston and Lambo further proof of that. Sense will prevail!
Looks awesome in the convertible too
Ferrari's strategy with the V12 seems like the ultimate cliffhanger series. Every new release is 'the last one', yet here we are celebrating another.
The front end look like Honda CRZ 🤭

F12 TDF is definitely my favorite front-engined V12, but this looks… unique. I like it when Ferrari tries something different than the usual.
So cool modern classic design.👍

Long Life to the V12!!!
When are you going to do a video about the new model 3 performance?

This car is beautiful, I love the retro design inspired by the 365 GTB/4 Daytona
In terms of design: F12 > 812 > 12cilindri.
Bring back Pininfarina.
Facts. Although the 812 isn’t as ugly compared to the F12 as this is to the 812
i get that old datsun 240z vibe from the front. nice
Hi carwow! I just wanna ask one question, why don’t you use Lexus IS 500 F sport performance in the races? Can you fix that? Thank you

Design wise, I think the 812 is superior on the exterior, but holy shit Ferrari finally have a good screen in the interior. The SF90 screen is just so bad. A screen is not really needed in a supercar for the most part, but when you need it, it needs to be good.
This is definitely one of the best looking Fs in the last decades or two!
This is car design which can only be developed when you hire a genz in team for cost cutting. Kudos Ferrarrri...
Good on ferrari for keeping the v12
I'd still get an F12 Berlinetta
I like it other than that black piece separating the bonnet from the facia. The headlights are too plain as well.
This is a really great car with real engine... real car even rare to see this kind of car brand new these days.... but the headlamp.... reminds me of.... 2015 Honda City
Is it just me who hates that front design? It reminds me more of Lucid Air than a ferrari lol
It is ghastly.
horrible. may be acceptable styling for an EV, but not complimentary to to a 'classic' V12
what in your opinion should a ferrari front look like
Have you ever seen a 365gtb/4 'Daytona'?
You don’t know Ferrari history then. The top half of the front/hood is nearly identical to the plexiglass Daytonas. Any Ferrari fan will see it immediately.
