The city hall loop RIGHT from the jump, love it! I like the fun fact too!
I love how the train operators communicate with each other by blowing the horn ❤❤
0:30. For those wondering, the route to the left leads to two layup tracks that end in bumpers.
they don't switch over to express tracks?
@@Blackhomeking12Nope. I’ve seen it myself. I thought it connects to the express tracks but it doesn’t. It’s a strange dead end tho.
@@Blackhomeking12 If you look in www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/docs/NYC_full_trackmap.pdf The left route splits off into 2 tracks that end in a bumper but were originally intended to continue back in to fulton st in the south.
I'm Actually On The 6 To Pelham Train Now!
I’m looking forward to when you do return runs and updates and everything. It will be good. All of the work that you do is pure excellence.
Your kind words and future expectations are both appreciated; Thank you for your consistent & continued support. 🫶
Nice ride on my home subway line! I have been riding the #6 since the 1950s. My home station was St. Lawrence Avenue. Fun to follow along the route with my copy of "Tracks of the New York City Subway", and seeing the infrastructure. Back in the day, rode the Lo-V cars, through all the later iterations of subway cars since then. Nice seeing the City Hall loop at the start!!
🫶🏆
I love that you included the city hall loop for the NB route as well, great video as always!
🫡♾️
OK, so this is a complaint, but not too serious. Your previous method of naming the stations upon arrival was much easier to read. Now even on my large TV screen, I can barely make out what the information is. You are picturing a phone with tiny type and a lot of wasted space. Go back to as recently as the previous video and observe how much easier that was to read. Video quality is excellent as usual.
Thank you so much for this feedback as it will definitely be looked at for future plans. 🫡♾️
I agree. The "phone" idea is OK, but you need to scale you font sizes so we can see them.

@@Mrbeahz1 your opinion is truly appreciated.
I like how it shows what’s going on above ground and the general direction you’re going, I personally just wish the text was much bigger. It’s hard to read on a small device too, to be honest.
Great as always. Used to work in that part of the Bronx Pelham Bay. I remember the Red Birds on that line and the R142's were just coming into service.
Another fantastic video. I'm always looking forward for them. Well done !!!!

Awesome video with the best view! Better this than my usual commute. Just a few more facts!
3:35 - Abandoned Worth St station. Closed in 1962. Strangely, the southbound platform was extended to 10 cars, but the northbound platform was not.
5:13 - You see space of the "5th track" between the express tracks at Spring St.
7:24 - 7:40 - Closed off section of the original northern platform extension. (Accessible behind the double doors)
11:00 - Abandoned 18th Street Station. Closed in 1948.

Another quality video. I like the way the stops are displayed. Nice addition. Used to be a C/R on the 6 durian the week and the 5 on weekends. As I watch these videos I’m always reminded that I got to work a great job that I always wanted to do since I was a kid riding an R9 (I think) on the D train heading out to Brooklyn. Wouldn’t doing this for real be a great thing I thought back then…yeah i5 was great that’s for sure. These days I don’t live in NY but the memories are there and your excellent videos remind me as well. Many thanks for a quality product!
Thank you for sharing this as we appreciate, not only your kind words but also the service you gave to the city. Very cool that you added the cell phone map showing the train route and stops. Might be even cooler if you used the aerial view so we can see the buildings and streets, too, but very clever either way.

Thank you for this. Watching this takes me back in time - I would ride in the front of the R 40 Slants and just stand up and watch the whole ride back in the 80's on the West End Line. Back then, the B was running over the West End, until the W replaced it for a short time during the Stillwell Ave station rebuild, and now the D Line. 👍👍
Thanks for taking the time to share a bit of history as it relates to the train lines back when you rode the train and the R40Slants were still in service. It is an honor to assist with said memories and we look forward to maintaining your support. 🫡🏆

Nice work on this video Welcome To An Experience! I like to take the 6 train home from the Festival of San Gennaro; And when I get out of Eileen's Special Cheesecake Restaurant! I catch the 6 train from Spring Street! And I'm deciding to stay and go all the way to Pelham Bay Park, and get either the Bx12 local bus or as Knuckles of the Super Subway Brothers would call it: The Bx12 Chicken Select Bus Service! Or will the R142/R142a 4 train pick me up from 14th Street Union Square and take me straight to Fordham Road?
I like the added info and the street map showing whats above

2 more weeks, Marissa will be back with Echo via 53rd Street.
@@kitsunefaye1661 so wait in 14 days The M will resume on the 53rd street line and will go back to its Actual Northern end which is Forest Hills 71st Avenue?

Beautiful video showing us what it’s like “On the 6” (if you know you know). My only complaint is just like everybody else’s, the phone graphic displaying the station names. I think (this may be MY take on it) it may be just a little too much. Personally though, I wouldn’t mind it on a historic fact (like you did with the City Hall station), but the rest… no. But an amazing video nonetheless.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us as we appreciate the feedback. We will be taking these reviews into consideration moving forward. 🫡♾️
What route can it be?
You should redo the 2 + 2 to Flatbush
A question that I have always had about the NY subway is why there are those clacs or "bumps" on the tracks. Someone who can explain me?
Same question
The way to put the tracks together. They are where the joints (ends of the track) meet is causing the sound unlike continuous welded tracks which is a long piece of rail with less joints
@@nybone24 thx for answer my doubt
When are you doing the N Line??
Ima take a Guess it’s either the 6 to PBP or the 5 or 2 to Flatbush
Or N for coney island or astoria
or 5 to Brooklyn College Flatbush@@zinhoooo
Can you do the Q or N line?
42-52 catch-up for local))
That's a funny video, the route looks like as a half express 😅
The video is great, my only critique is the phone graphic when listing the stations. In my opinion is not needed for naming the stations because it's just taking up a lot of video space and is distracting. Just leave the route sign & station names. However the phone graphic does look okay for the map IMO. Otherwise I enjoyed the 6 line experience, this is one of my favorite NYC subway lines.
